He tripped over the empty shine bottle in the single-wide.

I think we should all have known we were on the wrong track when we learned about where the leaders of the Bush administration came from. From the same failed administration which preceded Carter's presidency and which saddled his presidency with inflation and debt.

Is that your excuse for Voting for Bush?
Bush, the Connecticut cowboy who cant even speak English and the Quotes forever attributed to him (otherwise know outside of Bush World as "History") is a reading list of incoherent gibberish garbage.
Anyway, bumps on the head and shine bottles aside ----- in the End, Carter garners more respect than Bush will ever obtain. Even the Georgians, probably the only place in the world that still embraced him, have leaned this hard but eventual lesson!

I'm not so sre I agree with you about Carter. for all his intelligence and humility and humane qualities, he didn't learn the one lesson he needed to learn.
Washington is a friggin shark filled tank where you better be ready to fight in the mud, blood and beer. No fight among thieves is honorable.
He was too good of a person to be president.

That very well could be true, or conversely, perhaps it was the American people who failed to learn the lesson.

Good luck with that, let me know how it turns out. The only thing americans respect nowadays is 'ME'.

Maybe that's the problem with the American "Dream"?

Jimmy Carter. The last Christian to see the oval office. How did he ever avoid the fate of most Christians? (Crucifixion.) In retrospect, Jimmy was okay. He didn't try to enrich himself on MY buck. herm

That's why the neo-cons hate him so much.
By his actions-he proves himself to be a better Christian than they'll ever be-even collectively. He had a lot of things right. Energy Independence, The Economy, foreign policy, you name it. And, like Clinton, because he kicks their asses in everything-the haters hate him.
