why not, georgie? you're hand is all over this as it is...now, to figure out where, when and how.

It sounds like a much better idea than Paulson's.
At least under Soro's plan we would have something for our money besides just the most worthless paper that the banks have. We would own stock in those banks which means we would own not just the toxic paper but the bank's good mortgages too.

"your hand" not "you're hand"...oy.

And-it's a whole lot better than handing Paulson a blank check for 700 Billion, and HE GETS TO DECIDE WHAT TO DO WITH IT-AND no one else has any say in it.

Hell, let Rupert Murdoch bail us out. Duuf.

ANY bailout isn't going to fix the problem - it needs a root canal...without the benefit of anethesia.

NO BAILOUT!

The banks need lines of credit to extend to businesses who have a payroll to meet.

If the banks are denied this, people will lose their jobs.

It is more serious than you think, at least give the banks some leeway. Chaos could result.
