Can anyone find what his position was when Giuliani mentioned the same thing. I'm willing to bet that Bloomberg was dead-set against breaking term limits when wasn't mayor.

You had your time as Mayor, get off the Amusement Park ride, get back in line and wait your turn.

Bloomberg has been great for NYC. He doesn't need the money. Just enjoys the job. Considering the previous scumbags like Guiliani and incompetents like Dinkins he's by far the best choice.

Term limits do hinder things when the person in office is doing a great job. There should be a way to get around term limits.

Say, after your first 2 terms, you have to win 60% of the vote to hold your position.

After a 3rd term, you have to win 65 or 70% of the vote.

I mean, if 70% of voters say that you should keep your job, you should keep your job.

And if 73% say that you should lose your job, you should have to go to jail.

Democrats love power and hate to give it up.

I am against anyone breaking the rules, and that would set a very bad precedent!

"Democrats love power and hate to give it up."

Bloomberg's not a Democrat.

It that all you've got?

Changing the law and breaking the law are 2 different things Dave.

Ask Rosa Parks.

Manypaths,

Dude, seriously, you are such an unbelievable asshole that it's not funny. That's why we don't like hypocrites like you in the White House.

Bloomberg has been, until recently, a Republican. Now he's a paleo-conservative independent.

Take the plank out of your own eye before you try and take a speck of dust out of the Bloomberg's eyes.

Bloomberg spent $7 millions of his own money for campaign as a Republican and won 'Mayorship'. Then he turned 'Independent.

New York is full of liberals (That's how Hillary won). But for a liberal to get more votes, it is wise to run as a Republican.

The liberals love Bloomberg. He ran as a Republican and got votes from both left and right.

Now he is Independent. People think he has presidential ambition.

Meditato,

Sorry man, but I have to throw your dumb ass into the KBM boat........sink or swim man.

Care to try again?

I apologize ManyPaths, it was KBM who made the stupid assertion that Bloomberg was a democrat

No problem.

And I now take back the Dumb Ass comment and help you out of that boat that is KBM sinking in his own ignorance.

Democrats love power and hate to give it up.

McSame's been in office since VE day. Paul has been in Office since VJ day.

Rotten Dems......

Or was it $70 millions?

What? The term limit for government jobs, congress and senators should be 4 years no return. If you screw up you can be removed.

"term limit for government jobs...4 years..."

You've just taken governing away from the politicians and given it to the handlers.

Democrats love power and hate to give it up.

As usual you never miss an opportunity to show just how stupid you are.

Didn't Bloomberg have a cow (along with many others) when it was suggested that Rudy stay on after 9/11 ??

-----------

NG3--there are no term limits to change around for those two folks.

Same for Byrd and Kennedy and Kerry--see...?

These guys get to run as long as they win.
--------------

What is huburus here is to change the rules in the middle of the game--because he is such a great guy.

Chavez/putin/musharraf move, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Bloomberg. Term Limits Now, Term Limits for All, Term Limits Forever!!
These guys need some palm flowers implanted - I would definitely give up my nights and weekends to be a sandman...

Bloomberg's not a Democrat.

It that all you've got?

wait, wait, what day is it? tuesday, yes you're right.

he's a republidemopendent.

It's fucking new york, those dumb ass idiots will allow anything if it serves their selfish ways, after all they are the center of the world.

"Got any more zingers there dumbfuck?" #9 | Posted by Manypaths

OK "Dumbfuck", how about this:

From Wikipedia:

"Bloomberg, a lifelong member of the Democratic Party, decided to run for mayor as a member of the Republican Party ticket...He left the Republican Party in June 2007...He was frequently mentioned as a possible independent candidate for the 2008 presidential election"

He visited the Republican Party long enough to serve his purpose. Life long Democrats do not change. He will change his skin to get the voters. He loves the power and will get it any way he can.

if 73% say that you should lose your job, you should have to go to jail.

There's an idea I can get behind.
If ANY politician loses by 73% OR MORE-they spend the rest of their lives in prison-for being a scumbag.

"He visited the Republican Party long enough to serve his purpose. Life long Democrats do not change"

Like lifelong Republican Ray Nagin?

Bloomberg might actually get what he wants.

He's like Feyd Harkonnen to Giuliani's the Beast Rabban.

I like him.

Compared to that douche RG, Bloomberg works for me alright. But yeah, that's a dangerous precedent to set. I shudder to think if Giuliani had 3 mayoral terms. Maybe there's a reason god made term limits (and ass cancer).

Bloomberg has kept the city poking along (i mean, its not like anyone could stave off rent increases and gentrification) without all the chest beating and mean girl politics that had to put up with during Rudy's reign.

Then again, i'm not looking forward to Christine Quinn slipping in. That gal's got Hillary shiftiness in them eyes.

Democrats love power and hate to give it up.

Certain Republicans love term limits because it helps lobbyists run circles around elected officials who don't know the ropes yet.

Term limits for lobbyists... now there's an idea!

One thing Bloomberg has in spades over Generalissimo Giuliani is that he knows how to talk to people. Even when he's strong arming you into doing something you wouldn't otherwise do, he has a certain way about it where you don't necessarily hate him for it.

Oh and the pubs don't give me a break boi.

Considering his $1.00/yr salary, why not.

Democrats love power and hate to give it up.

Apparently, so does Bloomberg....and he's not even a democrat.

It's ok, we expect this kind of stupidity from you now.

YEAH!

Don't you hate those liberal weenies from 'East Coast Cities"?

Just ask your parties favorite Crossdresser, Trudy Giuliani, about 'those high society types who come from Elitist East Coast Cities"

Just like the one he was Mayor of?
