Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

When Hillary Clinton told a tall tale about "landing under sniper fire" in Bosnia, she was accused of "inflating her war experience" by rival Democrat Barack Obama's campaign.

But the campaign has been silent about Obama's running mate, Joe Biden, telling his own questionable story about being "shot at" in Iraq.

.......does it count if it was Cheney ?........

FTA: The senior senator from Delaware went on to say that some sort of projectile "landed" outside a building in the Green Zone where he and another senator had spent the night during a visit in December 2005. The lawmakers were shaving in the morning when they felt the building shake, Biden said

Not "shot at", Joe.

That woulda been a mortar or an RPG.

Well, Joe prolly didn't want to look like he was bragging.

His larger point is well taken.

The Green Zone, where the world's biggest embassy's construction continues apace, is not safe and American promises to get folks out who might not be too comfortable when the US leaves had better be forthcoming.

It won't be like the helicopters taking folks offa rooftops in Saigon in 1975 but it won't be pretty.

G08ama/8iden '08.

Be Well.

"Some sort of projectile"...But it wan't important enough for him to know or ask anyone what it was. Nor was it close enough or dangerous enough for him to be moved to a bunker...

That being said, something is wrong. The Green Zone is in Iraq, and the copter incident took place in Afghanistan.

Just read the actual article. Nevermind on the Green Zone/Afghanistan reference.

I'm still wondering why nobody evacuated Senators when a "projectile" landed near him...

"projectile"

snowballs!
