Klifferd, where's the link to McCain's truth squad?

As usual Republicans accuse Democrats of doing what Republicans actually have done and are doing.
Anyone familliar with the Don Siegelman prosectution will see the irony of Republicans accusing Democrats of targeting political enemies.

McCain's truth squad:

In the event of false attacks on John McCain's military service record, the McCain Truth Squad will issue statements to voters and to members of the media that set the record straight. In addition, members of the Truth Squad will be available to respond quickly to inquiries from the media regarding negative attacks.

Obama's truth squad:

KMOV Channel 4's TV newscast night before last at 6 PM had a story, that stated that St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch and St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, both Obama supporters, are implying that they will bring criminal libel charges against anyone who levels what turns out to be false criticisms of their chosen candidate for President.

Implying.

So the author admits interpretation.

Hey, AnAmerican: does the first amendment allow for purposeful lying? How about the truth-in-advertising laws?

Quite simply...if they're telling the truth, they have nothing to worry about. Hasn't that been part of the Republican mantra for the last 7+ years?

Great! Maybe they'll release his 180 file (psych!) and explain why the Navy denied him a sea-going command, and then gave him 100% disability only 3 years after he passed his flight physical.

Truth squads ...
indoctrination and training camps...

Sorry.
I have been busy with fall food storage and prepping for winter growing season.

They are in the same vein...but this thread is more about public perception of "truth squad" lawyers and perceived intimidation tactics.

Truth in Advertising hasn't worked perfectly, but we do know that Advair can cause asthma related deaths. Perhaps Truth in Politics would make an improvement if it weren't for the fact that politicians would be the ones writing the law.

Maybe a ballot initiative?
