Newt Gingrich is about as relevant as his fellow pantload Bill Bennett.

It is un-American.

Doc, i rarely disagree with your impressions, but I do disagree here. Both Gingrich and Bennett are relatively honest and accomplished guys, and both are very intelligent.

I don't agree with either of their politics, but I certainly wouldn't put them in the same basket with bush/cheney/rove.

Gingrich, despite all his problems is a very very intelligent man and an expert in history.

Lizoidial, I think I can appreciate where you're coming from. I describe Gingrich and Bennett as "pantloads," but I don't believe either of them is in the least bit stupid. I use "pantload" to distinguish them from the likes of Bush and Cheney, who I consider criminals. Anyway, it's refreshing to be able to have a collegial difference of opinion (if, indeed, we do differ).

Gingrich gets his name in the media in an attempt to appear relevant.
Or, at least, visible.
