Funny--maybe a tad too long--

Should be interesting to see after the debate if they are able to keep portraying Sarah as a bimbo or if Tina Fey is out of a job.. ;o)

I'll bet on the latter.

Funny--maybe a tad too long--

ALL SNL skits are too long.

Should be interesting to see after the debate if they are able to keep portraying Sarah as a bimbo

An honest portrayal based on her interviews to date. She's been contradicting McCain's own positions.

or if Tina Fey is out of a job..

She hasn't been a regular on SNL for a number of years. She just won an Emmy for the TV show she is a star of.

I'll bet on the latter.

How much. I'll take that bet.

Seems to be a "Republican" thing to bet on a loser.

I picked the wrong day to stop wearing Depends. That was funny! I wonder if the media will play this over and over again, like the Dean Scream, and turn her into a joke too?

"play this over and over again"

Think of all the dead puppies!

I saw the Couric interview and thought that the SNL parody of it was pretty kind. Palin has never given a straight answer to anything put to her - even by the Republican kool-aid drinkers at her "unscripted" town hall meeting.

Someone here called her Caribou Barbie and that's pretty descriptive. Funny flag to whoever you were.

BWAHAHAHAHA

Everyting is playing into Palin's hand.

FF for Takitez!
I mean, that's really funny.
A perfect, pithy send-up of rightbot idiocy.
Way to go!

Everyting is playing into Palin's hand.

My wife and I enjoy watching reruns of Miami CSI because David what's-his-name is such a bad actor. We call him 'sideways man' because he always stands sideways (shoots sideways too). Thinks he's a red headed Rico Suave.

It's a laugh a minute. Funnier than most SNL skits in the last 20 years. Although the last two weeks the opening skits on Palin have been a riot on SNL. She IS a joke.

Then you'll love these vintage Caruso over-the-toppers: www.youtube.com

DOC

eeeeeeeeYOU, my friend, cracked me up.

Notice how at the end of every scene Caruso's in on Miami CSI he always makes a hasty exit right or left - and never tells anyone where he's going? LOL

Anyone who could watch that video to the end is a better man than I, aaahhhooo.

Anyone who could watch that video to the end is a better man than I, aaahhhooo.

I do mean Doc's...

AU, I love watching Caruso do his Horatio Caine shtick. I mean, it is the essence of the term "a hoot." You just know that they must get a few laughs on the set when their shooting an episode whenever it's Caruso's turn to do his bit. I listened to an interview with Emily Procter (a.k.a. Calleigh Duquesne) and she explained that when the show started they needed to differentiate it somehow from the parent Las Vegas CSI. They went for what she described as more of a "comic book" approach. God knows, Caruso is the perfect guy to do that.

As far as him moving left or right and not telling anyone where he's going, I find myself thinking of the Blues Brothers who explained untold zanniness by saying, "We're on a mission from God."

RE: Caruso One Liners

My stomach hurts !!! I spit out my potato chips at one point!

Gotta show this to my wife later on....

THANKS ...... my friend (shades on....exit right)

DOC

Last night Horatio Caine (Caruso) was interrogating a suspect who he thought knew where Caine's son was.

Typical Caine vs 6' 9" hulk - one line and they all cave - trembling in fear Caruso might go off on them. God forbid !!

Last nights line: "My friend....if you don't tell me where my son is you'll be leaving this room in a BODY BAG"

Oh, the guy immediately told Caruso lest he be torn in two by the mighty Horatio Caine.

Remember: every vote for Obama means an unborn baby will die and a murderer and rapist will go free to murder and rape again!!!!!!!!!

you are fucking joking .. right?

Either you are obtuse or stupid. I have seen both "interviews" and all the refaglitards can say is that they are unfair in the questions asked.

She has lost her confidence.. watch the spiral downward.

They need to do a skit on Palin's statement dinosaurs and humans coexisted peacefully. This must be what affirms Palin's 'Palintologic' views:

New museum says dinosaurs were on Noah's Ark

While the $27 million museum near Cincinnati has drawn snickers from media and condemnation from U.S. scientists, those who believe God created the heavens and the Earth in six days about 6,000 years ago say their views are finally being represented.

"What we've done here is to give people an opportunity to hear information that is not readily available ... to challenge them that really you can believe the Bible's history," said Ken Ham (palingologist), president of the group Answers in Genesis that founded the museum.

Here exhibits show the Grand Canyon took just days to form during Noah's flood, dinosaurs coexisted with humans and had a place on Noah's Ark, and Cain married his sister to people the earth, among other Biblical wonders.

"Someone here called her Caribou Barbie and that's pretty descriptive."

I believe the current conventional wisdom is that the originator of the phrase Caribou Barbie is Stephanie Miller. I first spotted it being used on Eschaton the day after Palin's candidacy was announced.

Everything is playing into Palin's hand....

The hardcore dems and liberals are laughing at Sarah....

The common folks are laughing with Sarah....

the originator of the phrase Caribou Barbie is Stephanie Miller

Kudos fer Steph!

Spud invented "Fundy Ferraro" and "Scary Failin'", not nearly as popular but Spud still likes 'em.

Spud laffed anyway. ^_^

Be Well.

/Outtie fer a bit.

Only hardcore conservatives AREN'T laughing at Palin.

It was hardly different than the real interview. That shit is writing itself.

Excuse me...I made a mistake. It should have been "moniker," not "phrase." It's Sunday and I'm out of coffee.

I will take credit, however, for Rapture Bunny.

"Spud laffed(sic) anyway."

I'm sure you laugh maniacally to yourself all the time.

When there are multiple voices in your head, one of them is bound to say something funny.

The common folks are laughing with Sarah....

Ummmm, no they are not.

Only the true dummies are.

It's interesting that Palin's popularity rating has been dropping in Alaska since she got the VP nod. I think her fellow Alaskans are finding out a few things they never knew about Palin and are now taking those things into account when evaluating her.

The common folks are laughing with Sarah....

Psssstt, Takeit the common folk aren't laughing at anyone right now. The collapse of the dollar, an endless (likely illegal war), the shambles of the US core financial companies etc.....

HEY STUPID, Common folk aint laughting. Their pensions and investments are at stake. The shit they worked all their lives for...

McPalin better come across a little stronger on economics and foreign policy if she is to get any real respect other than being a hottie...

I will take credit, however, for Rapture Bunny.

Take a bow cos is funny!

Wasn't it Gal who came up with "Governor Bunnyboots"?

Spud laffed at that one to!

Spud laffed(sic) anyway."

I'm sure you laugh maniacally to yourself all the time.

Did yer neighbours dog tell you to post that?

In point of fact "Spud laffed anyway is a nod ot a lyric from an old Was Not Was song.

And Spud is quote...

"At the loveless motel and restaurant out on highway 33
The matchbook says call for reservations
Country ham and biscuits, delicious steaks
I met a woman there one night
No moon, just, just diesel trucks
She kissed me like she was hungry so we got a room
In the morning she looked like a horse
Smoking little cigars
Playing these tapes of her husband
She says "Doesn't he sound like Elvis?"
She makes champagne out of 7-Up and cheap wine
A chemist
Next to one of those insect electric chairs
Her skin gleaming blue everytime a fly died
I read her the funnies, I laughed anyway"

Earth to Doris

Thanx fer taking an interest in Spud's thinking process.

Yer too kind!

Be Well.

I'll bet on the latter.

You must be joking ! I could have watched this skit for and hour I almost pee'd my pants it was so funny.

In spite of the sad reality of the incompetence of this women, this is the only thing the American people can salvage. .. HUMOR.. After next Thursday Nights debate with Joe Biden and SNL's next Tina Fey Skit, this ladies next move (my guess) will be to seriously consider pulling her name from the ticket if it's not already done for her.

Joe Liberman will step in quickly

This cute little T-Rex, "Skippy the Friendly T-Rex", behaved himself on Noah's ark, never eating one human the whole trip:

And only the occasional elephant?

Well, he has lowered his % from 90% to 75% that it is true.

by everwrong..

More like from .09% to .075%

I wonder what excuse Palin will use for not debating come Thursday?

Easy one.

Trig ate her "Debates for Dummies" notes....

Did I actually say that out loud?
Wow!

"Thanx fer taking an interest in Spud's thinking process."

THINKING? You flatter yourself.

Just trying to warn Americans about the shortfalls of socialist mental health care, that you're the poster boy of.

Yup. With two votes for bush, your betting streak alerady sucked, bravo for making it worse:

www.people.com

Two SNL skits on the front page, rcade. What's up with that?

"My wife LOVED the video you posted. WE.......laughed til it hurt (exit)"

Yeah. Thanks, Doc. That video is side splitting.

I wonder what would be Ms. Katie Couric's reaction if she was being interviewed on live T.V. and she was asked: What was the brand of the first manual typewriter you ever used as a reporter? Did it have a black ribbon or a black and red ribbon? Did you have a cup of coffee by it's side and if so, what was the brand of the coffee? It seems that Ms. Couric would ask the following type of questions to Barack Obama: What was the color of Napoleon's white horse? What part of the human body did the French invention, the guillotine, affected? What is the name of a famous bridge that connects Brooklyn and Manhattan, which is also the first expansion bridge that was ever built? If ever a reporter should be nominated for the Golden Cup Of Interviews, this is the time.

The funniest part about this recent installment is that they didn't even need a writer.

I like this version of the Palin-Gibson interview better...

www.youtube.com

"they didn't even need a writer"

I kept thinking the same thing through the skit last night. They just recreated the inteview almost verbatem, and then added a few lines at the end.

Righties, can any of you honestly say you a comfortable with her being President of the United States? Seriously.

Oh, and if McCain wins, and Palin becomes President, that begins our next great step towards the future predicted in 'Idiocracy'.

I don't even know why they changed anything. They should have just gone with the transcript.

In 2004 37 million evangelicals voted --- 87% for Bush and 13% for Kerrey.

(7 million evangelicals did not bother to vote.)

November 2008, 40 million evangelicals are expected to vote.

No, insulting anyone for their faith is wrong and isn't helping anything.

And anyone of faith who thinks they can push others around with it is absurd and deserves insult.

This is a more telling video about a VP candidate's intelligence and it's real:

news.spreadit.org

What?

Why not bring up the other one where he said 'television' instead of 'radio' when talking about Franklin Roosevelt's address? I believe that was a Katie Couric interview as well.

So you have to cherry pick and find embarassing little faux-pas when trying to slam Biden, while neglecting to defend Palin, which to me says you know she's indefensible, because she's about as coherent as Miss South Carolina 2007.
www.youtube.com

You just know Dan Quayle is pulling for her. too. Nobody could make him seem like an under-appreciated genius like Palin could.

Sarah Palin's talking style wreaks of her days as a beauty pageant contestant.

Have you guys seen the Sarah Palin Quote Generator??

Sideways man. That's good. I call him "sunglasses on, sunglasses off". I get a good laugh at the amount of times this idiot whips his glasses off in a moment of intense drama. Must happen 20 times a show.

"I guess the liberal strategy of insulting the people of faith might work wonders"

You mean like asking, "Who would Jesus bomb?"

You're right- some of the smarter ones might actually think about the error of their reasoning over the past 8 years. Well, hope springs eternal.

( I guess the liberal strategy of insulting the people of faith might work wonders)

#53 | Posted by takitez at 2008-09-28 11:57 PM

I imagine that if you peoples of faith quit insulting our intelligence then we maybe we will quit "insulting" yours.

And would you care to share an example of an "insult"? Is it an insult to question you on the specifics (like that talking snake crap) or do you need to be treated with kid gloves or your "faith" will shatter? You miss those old days when the Church was all powerful and to question them could mean death huh?

Mostly though if your "faith" is not strong enough for a few Godless insults maybe you need to shop around for a stronger "faith".

You mean like asking, "Who would Jesus bomb?"

The updated question is, "Who would Jesus give a Trillion dollars to?"

Palin is going moose-hunting this Friday.

Well then, I hope she remembers to bring some ammunition for her gun. Her last couple of outings showed she wasn't going to be very successful trying to coy her prey to death.

And I pray Biden isn't going to get squeamish about bagging his limit of Rapture Bunny.

Knowing our luck in this wacky political season, this "debate" will presumably take on all the characteristics of a beltway cocktail party, with Biden working her like some boozy Lothario. Hey Joe! If you start getting mesmerized by her boobs, you're just playing to her strengths.

In my perfect world, I'd have Biden show up Friday in a Barney costume.

I'll stop now.

"In my perfect world, I'd have Biden show up Friday in a Barney costume."

Frank, or the Dinosaur?

"Palin is going moose-hunting this Friday."

kool after she gets her ass embarassed at the debates I will mount her....she gotta be tired of hanging out with all those closeted and pedophilic repubs and church members.

LM

Dinosaur, of course. Unless the senator from Massachusetts has a prediliction for latex and St. Andrew crosses, then that would be even more fun.
