There are some Hispanics that have the same attitude that some Whites have about blacks, we all know what those stereotypes are.

Here in Los Angeles, Latino gang members killing blacks simply because of the color of their skin is an all too common occurrence. We've had a number of murders of Blacks because Latino gangmembers want to wipe them out of their neighorhoods, schools, and want nothing to do with them. Four Latino gangbangers were sentenced to jail terms right here in Highland Park (suburb of L.A.) for hate crimes against Blacks.

One young 18 yo black kid -- not a gangbanger, was on a football scholarship, his Mom was serviing in the military in Iraq, got shot in the stomach and then in the head 3 blocks from his home by an illegal alien gangbanger who only got out of jail 24 hours earlier! He just went looking for a black guy to kill.

That's one reason why I feared Obama might have a problem with the votes here in California. It's the "elephant in the room" none of the Democrat leaders want to talk about but you can't help it when you see blacks being killed on our streets for no other reason than for their race. It's a shame but it's true.

This article talks of merely one Latino gang targeting blacks. The article tries to make it look like only black gangbangers are being targeted but that's a lie. One black in his 40's on his way to pick up his daughter from a birthday party was shot to death because he was a black, very young blacks not even old enough to be in gangs are killed. There are neighborhoods here in LA where if you black you dare not walk there because you will be shot simply because of the color of your skin.

That figure was taken back in 2004 and there are millions more Latinos in California now. Not only that but those figures often don't include Latino illegal aliens because they do not report themselves on census and population surveys. The LAUSD is almost entire made up of Latinos. Latinos easily make up 50% of California's population. I'm white and am now a minority in Los Angeles county.

I've stated this before, I think Obama might have a problem swaying the Latino voters to vote for a Black guy. That's a fact.

Some of the antagonism between blacks and Hispanics seems to be an overflow from conflicts in state prisons, which in California are cormprised overwhelmingly of blacks and Hispanics.

The Hispanics derisevely refer to blacks as "mayates," which is not intended to be complimentary. And if you challenge their attitude concerning blacks, the Hispanics will reply that the complaints are "verdad."

Just how this will shake out is unresolved. The Democrat Party in the past, tried to support procedures that would enable "illegal aliens," non-citizens, to vote, setting up a hue and cry if illegals were challenged on the basis that they did not speak English or some other factor such as requiring proof of citizenship or residency, and denouncing challenges to exercising the voting franchise as prohibited by invocation of the magic word, "racism," a taboo that compels white folks to become apologetic, regardless of the merit of the claim.

Now this effort may redound to the detriment of the Democratic Party candidate because of generalized and "unashamed" Hispanic antipathy toward blacks. I lived in Miami for 20 years. A delightful blend of the "other" Hispanics, like Cuban, Colombian, Venezuelan, Dominican, etc populate the south part of Florida. They all HATE blacks. This story is funny. Why don't the legitimate Hispanics in this country deal with the problems in their backyard and deal with the trash amongst their own kind. I'm from the east coast and don't have to deal with the hispanic gangs that the West coast has (thank God). I, being an Italian-American, and very proud and fortunate for that, always had to deal with the stereotype of the Italian mafia, which is only .0001 of the Italian american population (maybe less). If only the Hispanic population taught their offspring real American culture of hard work, success and assimilation with a new culture, like the Italian immigrants did with their offspring, then Im sure Hispanics would enjoy success of the "American dream" like so many Italian Americans do today.

I don't disagree with you but in D.C. we have many blacks, young, old, male and female, that die every month at the hands of other blacks. Almost all are victims of gang violence even if latinos are not involved. In NO. Virginia, there are latino gangs and we see a lot of latino on latino violence. The two paths, for the most part , have not crossed yet.

People of my parents generation (and older) see blacks as lazy, stupid and without honor. You will find that older hispanics really dislike blacks.

We have plenty of Hispanics in Houston (and then some). From what I observe, many are hard working and friendly. Unfortunately, there are also many who seem to have no interest in assimilating to American cultures. They proudly display their Mexican flags on their cars, only speak spanish, and seem to insist that America cater to their way. Most of the violent crime stories in the paper involve Mexicans or other Latin-Americans. Too often the story ends with the illegal alien suspect fleeing to Mexico and never being heard from (at least not under the same name) again.

When the Spanish came to conquor the Americas, they brought along Black slaves and made conquored Native peoples their slaves as well, in order to conquor the Continent. How do you think that LESS THAN 200 Spaniards were able to conquor over 10 MILLION Incas? Simply be having most of the fighting done by their Black slaves and when they captured Native people they forced them to also do their fighting.
In the end, probably less than 400 Spaniards ended up conquoring between 14 and 20 million native peoples. Just one Leutenant of the Inca conquorers, DeSoto, assisted in conquoring all of South America, Most of Central America, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. And DeSoto was no great field general. He was basically a pirate from a small village in Spain.

So there has been well over 600 years of the Spanish looking down upon the Black people of the world. The Muslim conquoring of Spain and Portugal brought this attitude that existed for over a thousand years in the middle east to the shores of Europe. That is why when Columbus came to the "New World" the first thing he did was to enslave the entire population of the island he landed in and sent these slaves back to Spain where they all died. Not one person who existed on that island has a bloodline that exists today because they all died as slaves in Spain.
