Barr Will Save You Money

www.lp.org

A study released by the National Taxpayers Union (NTU) listed Bob Barr as the most fiscally responsible candidate running for president, noting a Barr presidency would cut federal spending by a whopping $200.9 billion.

$200B reductin in government spending, that would be a modest start.

Truthwatching a truth watch story out of Missouri that hits Drudge Saturday morning, linking to a St Louis TV station piece that's working fast and loose with the facts. And the McCain bloggers are having a field day on this isolated report that aired a couple hours before Friday night's presidential debate.

And here's what I have to say about Truth Watching the Truth Watch story from the other side of the state.

DRUNK, BROKE AND VOMITING! THANKS AIG, WAMU, WACHOVIA!

Most people are viewing this as another big, dumb stupid mistake on the part of the Bush Administration.

Ever wonder if it's not? Bush is very close to talking the American public into a $700B transfer of wealth from them to people who are, on average, much wealthier. This is consistent with his tax policy and with the consequences of the Iraq War (windfall profits for his oil buddies, reconstruction contracts for companies like Halliburton).

For kicks, check out the "Clusterf*** to the Poor House" video comparing Bush's Iraq speech with last week's bank crisis speech: www.thedailyshow.com

McCain says to Obama, "You are nothing but a punk, I invented handshaking back in 1983!"

So the Obama Truth Squad is working with police and the AG of Missouri to make sure all ads are truthful. If not they will pull them.

Talk about the gov't getting involved with politics.

This guy worked like 18 days and gets over 13M.

What is wrong with these companies?

And they want us to give them 700B--no friggin way.

Roll Tide!!!!

Alabama beats Georgia tonight. Remember you heard it here first.

And here is the ACORN story --the Dems want to set up a slush fund from the bailout profits.

The Dems want to give ACORN 20%--YES--20% of the profits from the bailout.

No one could make this shit up.

"This guy worked like 18 days and gets over 13M."

My question is:

Where do I find a job like that?

I would work the 18 days and then retire confortably.

Acorn?!

Are they "community organizers" like Obama?!

Member--I want the job first!

You know they are all the same people jumping job to job.

This Fishman guy was also the president of AIG.

So they go shopping around and the board directors are all the same circles and they are the stoopidest people on the planet to give these CEO's this kind of money without doing anything--and failing on top of it.

Of course--Member and I would have a better shot at ACORN than CEO.

The cluster video--

I posted earlier that folks didn't believe or were against the Iraq war. They should be the same ones doubting this time with this bailout.

They knew this was coming--what a year ago? That is in some reports.

It appears --call me crazy--they did nothing until now--and likely hoped it would not crash until after the election.

Bush is not a conservative--not fiscally anyway.

The Dems want to add 56B on top of the 700B. They have the votes to pass the bill--but they won't--Why?

Because they want to appear bipartisan and have the Repubs on board--so when the shit hits the fan--everyone is invited to the party.

There are about 100 Republicans standing in between us the taxpayer and the abyss of insanity of this bailout.

Hopefully they do something other than write a check for 700B to give to some yahoo ex-CEO of Goldman Sachs to hand out to his buddies on Wall Street.

And oh BTW--screwing us at the same time.

Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign's Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

"St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

"What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

"This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson's thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

"Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Usually, we ignore false and scurrilous accusations because the purveyors have no credibility. When necessary, we refute them. Enlisting Missouri law enforcement to intimidate people and kill free debate is reminiscent of the Sedition Acts - not a free society."

More Obama gangland tactics: Signs banned at Virginia rally today
By Michelle Malkin September 27, 2008 10:21 AM Reader Ron e-mails that the Obama campaign has issued a decree banning all signs at a rally today at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia.

It is a public campus on public property.

The local newspaper, the Fredericksburg Free Lance Star is up in arms:

NOT ALL COUNTRIES guarantee their citizens the right to virtually unbridled freedom of speech. The United States does. Would someone please tell the campaign of Sen. Barack Obama? And the dozing guardians of liberty at the University of Mary Washington?

Mr. Obama, the Democratic nominee for president, is scheduled to speak at a rally at the university today. The public is invited to this forum, on property it, the public, owns. However, signs and banners will not be allowed, according to the organizers and compliant campus officials. Suddenly, UMW is a First Amendment-Free, or at least a First Amendment-Crippled, Zone, subject to the self-serving preferences of politicos. Why does an Obama rallyor a McCain rally or a Nader rallyjustify taking a little off the top of Americans' most fundamental rights?

A UMW spokeswoman says that the Obama campaign required the sign-and-banner ban. That campaign tells us that the ban is for "security" reasons. But a spokesman for the U.S. Secret Service, responsible for protecting presidential candidates, says that the service has no objection to signs at rallies, provided that no "part of the sign could be used as a weapon"e.g., a heavy metal pole or a sharpened stick. Finally, the McCain campaign tells us, "We encourage people to make signs at our events."

Tora Bora means the Black Widow.

news.bbc.co.uk

I still can not get over that debate last night Obama clearly was in a panick, just like a deer in the headlights I almost felt sorry for him he looked so off balance I thought he was going to cry for his momy. If an old Mavorick senator referd to on this site many times as "Mcsame" can give Obama such an embarising @ss kicking how do you suppose this 143 day congresman and community organizer will stand up to Global Politics, oh I almost forgot that will be Joe Bidens job right after his has his left foot surgically removed from his mouth. But even after Obama wound up wearing his butt for a hat after the debate libatards will still vote for a Tax and spend liberal who can't even go toe to toe with an old man.

"...Obama clearly was in a panick..."

OK, we get why you vote Republican

Spud'll tastefully ignore the urge to insert a strapon joke here and just note that it's damned annoying at times to be living three hours in the past from you eastcoasters.

On the other hand, if sommat cool does happens on SNL that's worth watching then Spud is get a three hour heads up so it's not really too bad of a deal fer Spud.
