If McSame had picked a competent vp pick, I wouldn't feel the need to assassinate his character.

Just the ideal that Palin could become president makes me want to shove a screwdriver into my brain.

If he had picked, say, Mitt Romney, I would think, 'ok, bottom line, if McCain passes away (insurance actuary tables say statistically, he will die in 2.5 years), then Romney could do the job of president'.

I also feel if something happened to Obama, Biden would be as qualified as anyone to take the office.

But this Palin person changes everything. The fear that she may become president should motivate any american that cares about freedom, honor, integrity, and our place in the world to not vote for them. She would make GWB look like a genius.

Don't you know, if she were competent, you couldn't turn on your news source without hearing her singing.

The mandate, now, for me, is to keep McCain out of office but even more to keep Palin out of office. God help us if we are ignorant enough to fall for this shit.

I was talking with someone I know, a Republican, who just told me that they are voting for McCain because he is "patriotic" and a republican, and Obama will raise our taxes and probably be assassinated if he is elected.

In case we didn't get it, the kind of statements I heard from that person are symptomatic of the attitude of some Republicans (who knows how many of them think this way) of disinformation and hatred. If we are not with them, we are against them and we deserve everything that is coming to us. It is the same kind of feeling I got from watching the republican convention.
