One of the country's top pollsters was in Rochester on Thursday and suggested that the November presidential election will end in an electoral landslide, even though the candidates are running close.

Unfortunately, I think Zog was implying that there will be a surge for depressed and crazy McSame at teh end. Zogby probably has confirmed in his own mind that qualifications don't matter whan candidates campaign like are just competing brands of lipstick or aftershave.

Obama wins with 300+ Electoral Votes.

Who came out to vote for the first?
Was there more for the Democrats or Repubs?

Polling doesn't reach all the segments of society.
How many pollsters call College students?

They are old enough to vote, but are they polling them? I saw a lot of them out voting for Obama. They're in school right now. Don't have time to answer polls.

It ain't the polls that matter. The polling numbers are insufficient to provide a true picture.

It's going to be 'who gets the voters out' and 'who has control over the electronic voting machines'.

I think the answer to these two questions are at opposite ends.

"Polling doesn't reach all the segments of society.
How many pollsters call College students?"

The polls are very accurate, as long as they have a true random sample. If they don't, the margin of error given means nothing.

"It ain't the polls that matter. The polling numbers are insufficient to provide a true picture."

Quite true....and don't forget about those closet "racist" democrats who are telling everyone they're voting for Obama but once they get in that booth, they're voting for McCain or not showing up. There's no accurate way to account for them.

"This may be and probably is the most important election in our lifetime," Zogby said. "I don't say that lightly."

I disagree. The 2000 election was the most important in our lifetime. We blew it. Then 2004 gave us a chance to pull some semblance of our nation together. We blew it again.

2008 is meaningless except for the financial aspects---as far as the nation goes--we are two nations. We will never be one again, even in war. Obama will not be able to unite the country. Millions upon millions will never accept him as President. He will have hate thrown at him daily by half the citizens of America for the rest of his life. The most important election in our lifetime is past. America lost.

2000 " We blew it."

2004 We blew it again.

Holy shit...Buffy voted for Bush?

Kerrin 57

We blew it because we let Bush steal the election.

Republicans Steal Elections Through Riots

There should have been major riots and a revolution--then an election held where all the votes were counted. America and whatever democracy was left died a cowards death in 2000.

This is two countries. I don't consider you a citizen of America. I'm not alone--there are millions who agree.

you're right, bluffalo - except it is you are not a citizen of america.

kerrin - it will be a landslide in the favor of conservatives - after tonight's "debate" for lack of a better word, the winner will be apparent. some of us are getting together to count the snowjobama' "uhz" - kind of like counting the "ooh-ooh-oohs" in sympathy for the devil...

Dude, i'm with you on this.

we better be right. so we either get to say 'i told you so' for 4 years or we get ot hear '300 electoral votes, ha' for 4 years. but i believe it's gonna go down that way, especially after people finally wake the hell up.

Nancy, Nancy, Nancy ... do you REALLY expect McSame to "win" the debate that he tried so hard to weasel out of? This will be like YOU going up against Michael Phelps in the Beijing pool. And if you bother to reply, please explain what you're trying to say with "you're right, bluffalo - except it is you are not a citizen of america." herm

This is about as true a statement as I have heard about this election.

Mcsame has three things to overcome

#1-His age is a deterrent due more to his VP choice than anything.

#2-His choice of VP candidates is about as stupid as they come.

#3-The feeling that to elect the "M" guy will result in at least four more years of horror.

Barak Obama has less problems in number but the biggie may be insurmountable.

ONE-Barak is unquestionably not a WASP or to a step less in importance, a Jew. So why is this possibly insurmountable? If all black voters went for the "O" man it would not be enough. There are simply not enough black registered voters to carry a Presidential election. the is the "little whit guy" that will be sitting on the shoulder of an indeterminate number of white voters that will in the last moment say that "He is a nigger you fool". Some deny that he exists, they are fools with blinders. Many of us wish that little bastard didn't exist. I would love to see Obama as both a person of 9I hope) change and a black man that will prove us much less racist.

Would anyone care to make this easier with choice bits of fact---please?

The only thing i would add is that black people, even though he should get almost all the black votes, is not his biggest block of voters. White non-blue collar voters and independents will put Obama over the top, easily.

300 electoral votes.

I can't explain it, but I've got this feeling that it's either going to be Obama in a landslide or McCain sneaking by. I don't think Obama would win by just a little bit, and I'm quite certain McCain could never win in a landslide.

I've always been impressed by the Republican ability to think their candidate won a debate. According to them, no presidential debate since 2000 has been won by a Democrat.

Apparently, all a Republican has to do is be able to chew gum on camera, which will e the standqard Palin is set in a few days.

Zogby probably has confirmed in his own mind that qualifications don't matter ....

A ringing endorsement of Osama

Where is Osama, by the way?

And it was Grolsch, too.

The 2000 election was the most important in our lifetime. We blew it.

How very true.

Bush has been a terrible president, but he got 8 years, mostly because the best the Democrats could muster was a tree stump in 2000.

Where is Osama, by the way?

Today he's in Michigan

VERNON

When the job market improves to the point you can move back HERE to the U.S. again we'll take what you say a tad more seriously.

For someone who left the country because you couldn't find a good enough job you sure have too much to say about what the rest of us HERE in the U.S. need.

Most people associate with like-minded people, which population establishes their mind sets.

There are many imponderables including whether or not the Hispanics will support a black. This may be crucial.

For the left, this has degenerated into a "hope" exercise with them translating their "hopes" into the reality, in their own minds anyway, and despite polls, which may attempt to secure representative samples, and be successful or unsuccessful in those efforts.
