Sarah Palin's position on the bailout: "That's why I say I, like every American I'm speaking with, we're ill about this position that we have been put in. Where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy. Um, helping, oh, it's got to be about job creation, too. Shoring up our economy, and putting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions, and tax relief for Americans, and trade -- we have got to see trade as opportunity, not as, uh, competitive, um, scary thing, but one in five jobs created in the trade sector today. We've got to look at that as more opportunity. All of those things under the umbrella of job creation."

Couric doesn't look at all impressed with Palin.

Wonder why?

Because Palin's dead behind the eyes.

"Couric doesn't look at all impressed with Palin. Wonder why?"

She's already seen dead fish staring at her from a pile of ice at the Fulton Street Market?

I don't know what's worse: what she says or her "voice".

Aflac!

I can't help thinking of 'Fargo' every time I hear her talk.

Palin's got a voice that even a mother would hate.

I think you meant to say crib notes instead of cliff notes.

Health care reform?
WTF?

And that voice ...

We undersatnd your position.

...understand

Thought she was a bad choice when the decision was made. Thought she was a horrible choice after two minutes of her convention speech. Seeing segments of her interview with Couric has dropped me to "Can't believe the McCain/Palin ticket is still polling above 10% in national polls. Are there really that many brain dead people in this country?"

In the Couric interview, Palin didn't seem presidential or vice-presidential; she seemed adolescent.

"I can't help thinking of 'Fargo' every time I hear her talk."

Exactly!

Frances McDormand wants a word with you, friendo.

www.altfg.com

Wow, Cutie Couric actually sounded like a real journo type in that interview.

Failin' sounded woefully unprepared.

Quelle shock.

Be Well.

She is an amalgum of Nanc, Wisgod, and Takeiteazy.

Phoney, dim,
and dithering to try to fit the questions to her talking points.

I wonder why the camera never panned down to Sarah's notes, and why Katie felt constrained not to comment on that. herm

Herm, maybe for the same reason she didn't tell Biden that it was Hoover not Roosevelt who was president in 1929 and television was not invented yet. LOL

Compare Katie's demeanor and dogging in this interview to that seen in the Biden and Obama interviews. The difference is stark.

"Compare Katie's demeanor and dogging in this interview to that seen in the Biden and Obama interviews. The difference is stark."

Yeah, it's Couric's fault that Palin is an ignorant moron!

Much like the radio tower on the moon, maybe it was B.S.

As a middle-aged, lifelong Republican veteran who only started to figure things out and vote for third parties four years ago, I must apologize to everyone in this country for the GOP's choice of Sarah Palin. It's quite embarrassing, really, but no one else will do so.

I have recently spent time in Lake Jackson, Texas paying my respects to a fellow Republican who is as aghast as I am about the direction our great country is headed. I am currently in Waco, waiting to continue my American tour...

Later this month I will be travelling to Charlottesville, and Mount Vernon, and Montpeilier, Virginia to apologize in person to Washington, Jefferson, and Madison. I then plan on visiting Philly to apologize to Ben Franklin and then on to New Rochelle, New York to apologize to Tom Paine. I wind up my tour back at my winter home in upstate New York where I will prepare my yearly 2 face cords of split wood, can my late summer vegetables, count my gold, clean my guns and wait out the cold winter chill forthcoming.

Semper Fidelis, Amigos.

Couric's mouth looked like a prune while talking to Palin. She should smile more to smooth out the wrinkles when conducting interviews with people she doesn't like, especially other women. ;-)

KGBee, Washington, Jefferson, Madison and Franklin will surely greet you with open arms, but Sarah wasn't your fault. They'd have chosen her even if you hadn't voted for Bush. I do appreciate your good intent, as I appreciate anyone who says Semper Fi and still thinks. Give my best to Tom Paine. He had more Common Sense than all of today's Republicans put together. herm

Does anyone know if CBS Evening News will be repeated later again tonight out here in California?
I missed Couric's interview with Palin which I think was on around 6:30 p.m. and would like to watch it if it comes on again tonight.

It may be the reason Katie Couric didn't correct the Hoover/Roosevelt error, but the television was invented before 1929:

Upper New York state has some beautiful country. I've always wondered because you've spoken before about the outdoorsy things you do at your home there. Do you live on a farm or just have a place with a lot of acreage? Do you have a pond or river or lots of trees at your place?

Wait a minute. She had NOTES she was looking down at and she did this bad?

Against Katie Couric?

No wonder Palin spent so much time at home letting everyone else run things. This woman IS a beauty pageant winner, and nothing else.

Time for a new schtick, null? After a dozen or so times, the humor starts to wane

Aflac!

It may be the reason Katie Couric didn't correct the Hoover/Roosevelt error, but the television was invented before 1929:

But the first commercial television broadcast wasn't until 1941.

W2XBS was one of ten stations that was issued a commerical television license by the FCC on May 2, 1941. On July 1, 1941, it became the first TV station to begin commercial broadcasting under the new call letters WNBT. Everything before this date was considered experimental television

www.classbrain.com

Aflac!

As my mom used to say, "Simple things for simple minds." lol

"But the first commercial television broadcast wasn't until 1941."

Who fucking cares?

Palin is so unimpressive it hurts.

Seriously, go watch all the clips of her interview with Couric you can find, folks. She gives katie gravitas in comparison.

Next overseas trip I'm telling people I'm canadian. This is fucking embarrassing that she's a VP contender.

Who fucking cares?

Historians, probably

"I've always wondered because you've spoken before about the outdoorsy things you do at your home there. Do you live on a farm or just have a place with a lot of acreage? Do you have a pond or river or lots of trees at your place?"

Mostly trees, plus a little creek I can jump into if things ever get too tough. I have a little over five acres southwest of beautiful Alden-- Buffalo Bills country, LOL!

As I get older I do less and less outdoorsy stuff so sometimes I've got to force myself to do it. I'm beginning to notice can't split the wood like I used to. It sucks getting old.. Still, this area of New York is a great place to pick up middle aged chicks. All you need is a six pack of beer, at least two wheels of viable transportation, and a couple of good military stories, real or imagined, LOL!

The area has recently been littered with Obama and McCain signs and Bills lawn paraphenalia, plus the odd giant blow-up Pumpkin. Yup, another upstate election year autumn is upon us!

The area has recently been littered with Obama and McCain signs and Bills lawn paraphenalia, plus the odd giant blow-up Pumpkin.

~Wily Apiarist

Yes, apparently the Pumpkin Party is now drawing more support than Nader and Barr combined.

Go figure.

Be Well.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!! THIS PALIN INTERVIEW IS GIVING ME NIGHTMARES WHILE AWAKE!!!

THIS IS TOO AWFUL ITS SURREAL! I FEEL LIKE BLOWING MY BRAINS OUT! GOD HELP AMERICA IF THIS WOMAN GETS WITHIN A HEARTBEAT OF THE WHITE HOUSE!!!

Sorry bout the CAPS, I know its annoying. Never in my life have I felt so ashamed and embarrassed for someone. I've been playing those clips on you tube over and over. The one about Israel makes me convulse, but then again, all of them do. I don't hate Sarah Palin for any reason, but she is so sideline material it is stunning to see her so exposed. The nether only knows what would happen if the scent of her womanhood ever got NEAR (sorry caps again) the oval office. I'm drinking lots of alcohol tonight, boy-o...

"I FEEL LIKE BLOWING MY BRAINS OUT! "

Relax, KG. Yes, Palin is the dumbest fuck in the civilized world. But this blithering idiot is highly unlikely to become President. But if she does, the emigration business will become quite profitable. Get your passport ready and consider investing in emigration counseling services.

I'm sure she has strength and intelligence, but she's bullshitting here. Total bullshit. She's reciting items highlighted by her BFF in the textbook.

(Really fuckin' sad, and scary as anything)

This may sound stupid, but is she actually reading from index cards? It kinda looked that way, at least in the way she glanced down frequently for answers. Did she write crib notes on her hand?

"Yes, Palin is the dumbest fuck in the civilized world"

No she's not. But she does, in a nutshell, illustrate one staetling point-- how utterly partisan and ultimately blind we as a nation have become when it comes to our dealings with each other and the federal govt. Even Pat Buchanan is sticking up for her, because its all about winning, not about America. WTF?

I always figured if America ever "collapsed" we would all find ourselves at the pearly gates after a glorious global nuclear holocaust, still declaring the conflagration a "draw". Now we're looking at the distinct possibility of our nation imploding into a microscopic malformed zygote located inside the pearly gates of some slice of neoconservative-conquered minge.

BTW, I'd never blow my brains out. I'm too chicken. But I'd blow my brains out before emigrating. I'm in it for better or for worse....

....and boy is it getting worse!

It certainly does look like she is using cliff notes, but if thats the case, all the questions would be scripted.

"No she's not. "

I disagree. Palin is the dumbest fuck in the "civilized" world. Anybody who saw her interviews with Gibson and Couric would have to agree.

Just for kicks: Watch the video again, and when Couric refers to Palin's "talking points", think of them as actual physical ink on index cards, and notice both Couric and Palin glancing at them in Palin's (off-camera) hands during the interview.

Try it.

But I'd blow my brains out before emigrating. I'm in it for better or for worse....

I'm glad to see some who dislikes McCain and Palin has the cajones to ride it out instead of tucking tail and fleeing. No matter what your politics are, I respect you for that.

Try it.

~BetelG

Holy crap, yer right, BetelGuy! Good eye!

Scary Failin got to bring her BushCo flashcards with her.

Gawd, no wonder the GOPhers are terrified of letting her speak outside of a rethug luff-in typa environ.

Pathos incarnate.

Be Well.

"No she's not. "
I disagree. Palin is the dumbest fuck in the "civilized" world. Anybody who saw her interviews with Gibson and Couric would have to agree."

Again, I beg to differ. There are dumber people. They are the ones who will cast their vote based on her presence on the GOP ticket.

Anyway, who are we fooling? We're all dumb. We are all suckers for something. most of us come to this site and act like we know it all but we all hide our ultimate dumbness behind various shades and shapes of self-righteousness. We thrive on being able to someday say "I told ya so" but we would still, if such an occaision ever arrives, perversely seek the follow-up comment telling us we're all still full of shit.

"Just for kicks: Watch the video again, "

That's asking a lot. Why should we suffer acute earaches?

Agreed. As Frank sed...

Whoever we are
Wherever we're from
We shoulda noticed by now
Our behavior is dumb

Expect to improve
It's gonna take a lot more

The other race
Or the other whatever
From the face
Of the planet altogether

They call it THE EARTH
Which is a dumb kinda name
But they named it right
'Cause we behave the same...
*We are dumb all over*
Dumb all over,
Yes we are
Dumb all over,
Near 'n far
Dumb all over,
Black 'n white
People, we is not wrapped tight

Even people Spud considers bright have their blonde moments.

Mark Twain, fer example, refused to spend 5,000 dollars to invest in Thomas Edisons inventions which woulda made him a rich man and instead spent a quarter of a million on the Paige typesetting machine which uultimately bankrupted him.

You are wot you is.

Be Well.

"Again, I beg to differ. There are dumber people. "

Don't be so literal minded, KG. Rhetoric hyperbole has its place.

I don't think Palin is the dumbest woman in the world.

She is in no way, shape, or form ready to be VP of The United States though.

"Nullifidian-
Take the dosage of thought I suggested, and watch it again. The PotatoE gave his virtual approval.

Try it."

Give me a break! I've seen it. My ears are throbbing. Her voice should be outlawed!

p.s. And yes, it's obvious she's looking at either cue cards, or her knees.

She's literally using CliffsNotes. She's reading off of cards. That's what Couric literally meant when she said that Palin would refer to her "talking points".

BETELG

Exactly. It was 'Sarah, when in doubt about what to say refer to these talking points'.

The bit about Russia would make a great SNL skit.

Damn, I'm so far behind the curve. But if it's obvious even to me...

"The bit about Russia would make a great SNL skit."

LOL. It is about time they earned their pay again!

Did I mention that I can see Russia from my house, if I try?

The PotatoE

Ha! Actually, considering the fact that spuddish wise-ass-dom is only available on the stupid, sexy internets wouldn't that make Spud an E-Potato?

Just sayin'.

Be Well.

Doesn't this mean in actuality that Sarah Palin isn't smarter than a 5th grader and that a 5th grader would run the Country better than Her??? Seems to Me if You do not have a firm grasp of History and Politics You should refrain from accepting any Nomination to run for Political Office. She needs to apply for President of the local 4th grade class of 2009.

This probably deserves it's own thread, but I'll post it here.

Reportedly, the McCain campaign is scared shitless at Palin's peformance in debate prep.

The campaign has held
a mock debate and a mock press conference; both are being described as "disastrous." One senior McCain aide was quoted as saying, "What are we going to do?" The McCain people want to move this first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the inside are saying the Alaska Governor is "clueless."

www.wegoted.com

They can't hide her forever. McCain loses the independents if she ducks the debate, and it looks like he'll lose everyone but the Bushlickers if they let her debate. Decisions decisions.

While many of the attacks on Palin have appeared (to me at least) to be baseless or exaggerated, the fact that she is a know-nothing bimbo appears to be materializing. If this is what she is like all the time, then McCain made a terrible decision for both his campaign and our country.

And most of them are looney libs

Stupidity is an infinite resource,
that never drains,
never changes.
It's all around us,
it's like the air,
except it's not invisible nor life depending.

Stupidity began long time ago
and it developed into some sort of deity.
Nowadays, it has a great number of followers
and evidence of its praising
is found anytime,
and everywhere , in all shapes and forms.

The most disturbing aspect of stupidity
is the fact it does not seem to have a cure.
Once you received it, inside of you
it will stick to you, until you die.
It spreads its tentacles
and suffocates the brain,
thus, turning you into somewhat of a robotized corpse.

Stupidity is cruel,
it doesn't know the meaning of mercy,
and everyone could be a potential prey.
It's free monster that walks among us,
eating minds and killing truths.

Stupidity equals weapon of mass-destruction
and the greatest user of this weapon is called MASS-MEDIA.

"And most of them are looney libs"

Sort of ridiculous when you consider who your VP nominee is. Makes you look foolish. You would have been better off not to post at all.

Molded by opinions rather than facts,
A procreated, out-casted mutt;
Blind to all reason,
You're eyes are swelled shut.
United through disbelief,
So compelled to follow;
Gullible and weak,
Never chewing what you swallow.
Maybe realization is too far-fetched?
Indifference makes you complete?
You say you're original and unique,
Yet you still follow their feet?
Nothing but a slave to fiction,
A soul lost in its abyss;
Ignorance without logic and reason:
Is far from bliss.

Expecting Palin to talk like an economic expert is a stretch. She did flesh out aspects of the impact the crisis will have unless action is taken to stem it.

McCain is in the lead again (Zogby poll) after suspending his campaign to concentrate on averting the financial tsunami about to hit America.

campaigning for the POTUS is actually more important than this current crises.

he is playing politics and appears to be running from the fight.

www.rasmussenreports.com

September 26, 2008
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Barack Obama attracting 50% of the vote while John McCain earns 45%

New data shows McCain's lead is down to a single percentage point in Ohio and Florida. He leads by eight in West Virginia while Obama continues to hold a modest advantage in Pennsylvania. A Virginia update will be released at noon Eastern today.

www.usaelectionpolls.com

Obama 275 vs. McCain 254

www.usaelectionpolls.com

Problem with Obama lead is that often his polls go up in States that are already Blue.

The real advantage for either side would be to check the battleground States.

S. Palin being only a heartbeat away from the presidency would be truly frightening! Her words to Couric demonstrate that she is truly an air-head!

Want to see hear something even more frightening?

AnAmerican:
"1927
Bell Telephone and the U.S. Department of Commerce conduct the first long distance use of television that took place between Washington D.C. and New York City on April 9th. Secretary of Commerce Herbert Hoover commented, "Today we have, in a sense, the transmission of sight for the first time in the world's history. Human genius has now destroyed the impediment of distance in a new respect, and in a manner hitherto unknown."
and this:
:"1939
Vladimir Zworkin and RCA conduct experimentally broadcasts from the Empire State Building.
Television was demonstrated at the New York World's Fair and the San Francisco Golden Gate International Exposition.

RCA's David Sarnoff used his company's exhibit at the 1939 World's Fair as a showcase for the 1st Presidential speech (Roosevelt) on television and to introduce RCA's new line of television receivers, some of which had to be coupled with a radio if you wanted to hear sound."
From: About.com: Inventors - Timeline Television: From Black and White To Color

So you see, it was entirely understandable that the two dates and the men were confused. Roosevelt's speech WAS the first Presidential speech delivered via television. Hoover, who WAS NOT president at the time but who BECAME President, commented on the first long-distance transmission of a television signal.

Hey #1B.S.er - you're really reaching on this one. It's obvious to anyone with half a brain Obama was being distracted by someone in the peanut gallery while he was trying to make a point.

Btw, I hope the debate tonight isn't past your bedtime; maybe you'll learn something about how some people can actually string complex thoughts together into comprehensible sentences.

Not if McBush happens to take time away from his busy mono-tasking schedule.

And furthermore, #1B.S.er, if you find that video more frightening than watching Palin trying to articulate any ideas of complexity, you obviously voted (if you were old enough) for the Boy Wonder, so that pretty much negates any opinion you may have on ANY subject.

Good thing we have Theonebs, Wisgod, and Anamerican to tell us how "black is white"!

Any more intelligent things you'd like to say? Must be something having only half a brain!

hillarious

you bring up the same gaffes over and over again
failing to realize
that yer princess bride has made more gaffes in 2 weeks then obama has in 2 years.

or mccain for that matter.

palin is way out of her league and it shows.

If this woman were the Democratic VP nominee, I'd vote Republican. What an insult to Americans. I didn't think a worse person than Dubya could have been found for a GOP ticket. But her with McCain? Armageddon Now.

remember one simple fact

Mccain doesnt trust her.

he suspended his campaign to showboat, er work on the bailout thingie.

he didnt put HER in charge of the campaign.

you cant take a timeout with al queda

You could see it in Couric's eyes, she thought Palin was an idiot.

The Biden/Palin debate is going to be nothing but gaffes/bumbling.

Do you really want to tally the gaffes of Palin against Obama and this dork?

LOL...LOL...LOL

do YOU really want four more years of the mess we're in now?

Good Lord.

Palin told Couric (when asked how Sarah's statment about "I can see Russia from Alaska" qualified as any kind of foreign policy experience) and Palin answered that with Russia so close to them "Putin flies over Alaska." ouch.

Palin could be the next president if McCain ever got elected and didn't finish his term and our U.S. economy is crashing as I type this....

I'm going back to bed and pull the covers over my head.

oh yeah, LOL!

"Expecting Palin to talk like an economic expert is a stretch."

No, but it's not a stretch to expect her to speak competently in answering relatively easy questions in a friendly atmosphere. What happens when she's VP (God forbid...) and actually dealing with other world leaders in potentially hostile situations?

No matter how hard you spin it, she's in over her head and WE'LL be the ones to suffer the consequences of her in an administration.

The brain-dead people are the ones that are sucked in by the Obama rhetoric that in essence says nothing. If the people of this coutnry are foolish enough to elect Obama, our economy will collapse even moreso than it seems now and we will undoubtedly be attacked by the terrorists again.

Wake up! Obama would be a nightmare such that this country has never seen... or ever will see.

remeber mali, we were attacked under your hero's watch.

Let's see -- Unqualified ideologue gets his administration hijacked by the "Vice-presidential Branch" and things go to crap, and now the oldest-ever, most clinically depressed, semi-wacky and not terribly healthy candidate selects one to the VP cabal's know-nothing darlings to be his #2? And she has all of the international training of a flea? Be real!

"You could see it in Couric's eyes, she thought Palin was an idiot.

You have to remember that Katie Couric hates Sarah Palin. Hates her. And Katie Couric is no more objective in her reporting than Rush Limbaugh... probably less actually. You will never hear a kind word toward her from NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, or NPR. That's just reality. Sarah Palin is the liberal media's worst nightmare. She threatens everything they're about... which is slanted left-wing reporting and ideology that is majorly flawed. The last thing they want is to be exposed for who they really are, and Sarah Palin threatens that.

I have no love for the media, but Palin did herself no favors by rambling on like she doesn't know what she's talking about. If that's the best she can do, she's in for a world of hurt. The best she would be able to hope for in her debate is that Biden has an especially colorful day and says enough retarded things to deflect attention from her rambling nonsense.

"The brain-dead people are the ones that are sucked in by the Obama rhetoric that in essence says nothing. If the people of this coutnry are foolish enough to elect Obama, our economy will collapse even moreso than it seems now and we will undoubtedly be attacked by the terrorists again."

You assume that by thinking Palin is an idiot one has been "sucked in by the Obama rhetoric." It may be so in your little simplistic, black and white world but it's not so in mine. I don't think Obama is that great of a candidate, but compared to Palin he's a fucking genius and for me, the easy choice.

"And Katie Couric is no more objective in her reporting than Rush Limbaugh... probably less actually."

Either you're being beautifully satirical or your last brain cell farted out of existence years ago.

Republicans can't play the Liberal Media card to get out of this one. Palin looks like an idiot in this interview, and the thing that makes her look stupid is her own words, not the questions she was asked.

Palin knew going in she'd be asked about the bailout. She knew going in she'd probably be asked about her foreign policy cred. In both cases, despite the prep her answers were nonsensical gibberish.

I really have to wonder about Republicans who would put this woman in the vice presidency, knowing what they do about McCain's age and health. How can you want that for your country?

Off topic, but just got a NY Times flash that McSame blinked and he will participate in tonights debate.

And what's really funny, and sad, is for all their talk and bluster, McCain/Palin was he best they could come up with.

What a joke.

malachi1388

I would think it painfully obvious that it is the right wing reporting and ideology that is majorly flawed. Have you seen a newspaper or TV within the last 7 years?

If bin Laden had been our President, he couldn't have done a worse job than GWB. When we were attacked on 911--what would Osama bin Laden have done? Probably just sit there for a while as the attacks took place---then after it was all over---I'm sure bin Laden would have fought against any investigation into the attacks also. I'm also sure that if bin Laden had been out President that the perpetrators would still be free.

bin Laden couldn't have been a worse President than GWB---and you want more of the same.

NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and NPR will ask Palin REAL questions that she can't answer! Leave her to FOX, they will prop her up and supply her with all the response she needs. She could be another Lincoln, if she only had a brain.

How can you want that for your country?

It should be obvious that GWB is a puppet President taking orders from handlers. The same with his father, and Reagan. Palin fits right in there. That's the motivation---they want another puppet.

That's the bottom line, Rcade. Are we prepared, considering all aspects of McCains dubious health, physically and mentally, to have Palin lead the country?

No crash course in foreign affairs or economics will save her or this country from the bad lipstick job on this pig.

"I really have to wonder about Republicans who would put this woman in the vice presidency, knowing what they do about McCain's age and health. How can you want that for your country?"

The only real concern is that they win and they obviously thought Palin gives them the best chance.

B. Bob - Bin Laden would have actually been better. We'd have kept a sharper eye on him in his attempts to destroy the country from the inside.

All the press can seem to muster in the way of criticism of Bush is that he's stupid. Who in the mainstream press would ever call him a terrorist, although most people on the planet believe him to be #1 in that regard.

After watching this segment again, I would like to point out one major thing that Sarah Palin accomplished with the interview.

She actually made Katie Couric appear to have a tiny bit of gravitas.

Hell, she made Katie look like a genius.

That's no easy task.

Katie didn't ask Gov. Palin about her glasses and haircut?

And Ted Knight sound like Socrates.

"That's no easy task."

Never been done before.

"Are there really that many brain dead people in this country?"

...he asks during W's SECOND term....holy cow!

"Are there really that many brain dead people in this country?"

In the last election 98% of the votes went to a Yalie frat rat with a two-digit IQ.

Any more questions?

"And Ted Knight sound like Socrates."

Hell, McCain knew Socrates.

preview questoin from tonight's debate

Jim Lehrer: "Mr. McCain, you're in a room with 3 monkeys. One has a banana, one has a stick and one has nothing. Which Primate is the smartest?"

I really have to wonder about Republicans who would put this woman in the vice presidency, knowing what they do about McCain's age and health. How can you want that for your country?

well...ummm... she's not one of "them" people.

the right.

Sarah Palin is Dan Quayle in DRAG!!!! This woman is incapable of answering a question. The Republicans should be ashamed of themselves, to put this woman through this just to try an make a play for the women that voted for Mrs. Clinton is crazy but what the Hell it the Republicans.....

This is a poke in the eye of every women in this Country, much like the first Mr. Bush when he appointed Clarence Thomas to the supreme Court at 42 years of age , all the while telling the Country that Mr. Thomas was the Best man for that job in the Country. This was a Poke in the eye from the Republicians to all Black Americans, to replace Thurgood Marshall, with an UNCLE TOM, like Clarence Thomas was a slap in the face of every Black American, that why even today the First President BUSH is considered a RACIST, by most thinking African American...

THESE REPUBLICIANS NEVER CHANGE, JUST GET OLDER!!!

And, there it is again.

Please, please, come up with a better catch phrase to use against Sarah Palin. I'm almost at the point of casting a grudge vote for McCain because I'm so sick of this cliche. (OK, not really, but it's like nails on a chalk board at this point.)

If Sarah were the Demo nominee? She wouldn't be. The Demos jave consistently expressed more respect for the American public. We've never tried to pawn off a Bush, a Palin or a Quayle.

And O'Bama a nightmare? No way. No more than FDR and JFK. herm

I really have to wonder about Republicans who would put this woman in the vice presidency, knowing what they do about McCain's age and health. How can you want that for your country?

Maybe the whole thing is a Machiavellian ruse; i.e., McCain is actually trying to discredit the Evangelical base and lessen its influence in the party by choosing and exposing one of its darlings who is apparently not up for the job of VP. McCain is bound to know that odds are against him winning. Who knows?

Are you a big fan of the Bay of Pigs invasion, the war in Viet Nam, closing the "missile gap" with Soviet Union, and tax cuts for the rich?

Anton

The Bay of Pigs was left over from the Eisenhower---it was not JFKs idea, and JFKs refusal for support probably saved us from WWIII.

en.wikipedia.org

JFK would have pulled out of Nam. The first "advisors" went in under Eisenhower, and the build-up didn't get serious until Johnson lied about the Gulf of Tonkin incident.

Closing the missile gap was necessary for national survival and the ushering in of the technology we all enjoy today.

Do you think it's too late for McShit to replace her with Romney or someone else?

Palin, a beauty contest participant, sounded a lot like this beauty contest participant:

"I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uhmmm, some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uhhh, our education over here in the US should help the US, uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us."

About the same foreign policy experience!

I would love to see her communicate all she knows about Putin in a one-on-one with Biden. For that matter, I would love to see
