Although Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden routinely mocks his Republican counterpart Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, for her onetime support of the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere," Biden and his running mate Barack Obama voted twice to keep the project alive.

surprise, surprise, surprise!

don't blame me, i stole this from another famous blogger...

::chirp::

There's already a thread about this article.

i must've missed it! can't find them all after the titles change so much. my apologies.

oops! here it is. please continue comments there.

nanc you are a troll that is afraid of debate otherwise curtains would be public.

why, ninja? i bring my debate to you - you should be thankful. curtains is public - all you have to do is send me an email with actual information on yourself and you may join...if i deem you fit. thankx for the troll compliment.

p.s. - you get furlough from the work release program today? or are you emptying garbage cans at the public library again?

It's okay for Obama and Biden to support something, then criticize after the fact. It's not okay for Republicans to do so. Obama has proven to be most flexible, in how so many of his positions have lately become so . . . well, like Bush's. And Palin's.

"Change we can believe in." Uh huh.

with actual information on yourself

hahahaha never. Real information is gathered to destroy each other. you are a very dishonest person that can never be trusted.

Nanc-who stood up at the Republican Convention and in every speech and commercial thereafter stating she opposed the bridge, when she still took the money even after it became an national joke? Who is trying to suck 200 million more pork out of DC while she rails against it? who supported Ted Stevens until she was annointed VP?

John and caribou barbie are just politicians of the Stevens/Bush mold. Deal with it.

"you are a very dishonest person that can never be trusted."

Says the guy who signs onto blogs as other people, then lies about it repeatedly. Too frickin' funny.

ninja - i know the true names of every single person who posts at my blog with the exception of one and i've never, nor would i ever betray the confidentiality of a poster. NEVER. EVER. even if i'd good reason to do so. i live what i say and others expect it from me. unlike you, i couldn't live with myself if i stooped to your antics.

now, please get on topic and stop sniffing in my flanks. the above statement is my last to you on this thread unless it's on topic.

northguy - who were the nutz scolding her for it?

VOILA! snowjobama and bin biden.

Narc. It was in a HUGE transportation bill. Sarah FOUGHT for this, Barack/Biden didn't do their homework. What's worse...

Change = 0
Politics as usual = 1

Thanks, but no thanks.

Whereas Palin ran her gubernatorial campaign promising to build that bridge, then as governor chose not to build it and then to steal the money from the federal government instead.

That's right, Alaska stole the money and isn't giving it back.

That's REAL change. Think of how much she money she could misappropriate from the SOURCE!

now, please get on topic and stop sniffing in my flanks

i'm seeing cottage cheese and it ain't pretty.

"Obama, Biden Voted for Bridge to Nowhere"

Twice! Both of them.

Well, unless they're giving line-item veto power to Senators, then this article is pure fluff.

Notice it only took X number of weeks for the repubs to spin this into something they hope sticks.

They voted for a 'Transportation Bill' and in it, Ted Stevens earmarked 235 million for a 'get rich quick' scheme. When the project failed, "Failin Palin" kept the money, not Obama, not Biden.

Well, at least she got the "Road to Nowhere" built.

Be Well.

/obligatory "TH~Road to Nowhere"

From the Ny Times article dated Sept 11 2003

This is classic LibThink

''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.''

Representative Melvin L. Watt, Democrat of North Carolina, agreed.

''I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing,'' Mr. Watt said.

Well this fits in nicely with the new investigation the State of Illinois has begun on the $100,000 that NOBama managed to have granted to one of his campaign workers.
It was supposed to be used to build a "botanical garden" on land donated by the City of Chicago.

Today, there is an empty lot, filled with weeds and chunks of concrete and the $100,000 is gone. Obama's campaign worker had his wife set up a "construction company" to which he paid $20,000 five months AFTER construction was supposed to begin.

Obama had committed to raise $1.1 MILLION for the project but only came up with the $100,000 that disappeared.

I wonder if they will rename Obama's jail cell "White House West"?

Unlike the Million Dollars he voted to grant to his ex-Boss Allison Davis to rehab an old folks home, from which Davis pocketed $750,000 for himself, this time Obama made the mistake of giving State money instead of charity money. The State frowns upon Illinois State Senators diverting State funds to their buddies. Just ask former IL Governor Ryan who is a current resident of a Federal Prison in Wisconsin.

Of course Obama and Biden never said they were against it unlike someone who doesn't know what she supports. Still, Palin/McCain are very agreeable - they'll agree with anything that seems publicly popular, at least until they're in the Oval Office, that is.

If you want four more years of economic and social destruction, vote McCain/Palin. Otherwise, vote responsibly and let Obama/Biden try to dig your country out of the pit Bush/Cheney threw it in.

I'm Generico and I approve this posting. Furthermore, I'm right. After all, I can see Washington from my window so I guess that makes me an expert on American politics.

Obama and Biden are the "Bridge to nowhere!"

You're wrong, UncleSam, because I can also see a bridge from my window which would make me a bridge expert too.
