Make generics a requirement. Simple.
But, that won't make the drug companies any money, so this story is probably bullshit.

Make generics a requirement

In my state, it's state law that generics have to dispensed by the pharmacist unless the doctor specifically prescribes otherwise. I guess it's an example of the insurance lobby out lobbying the pharmaceutical.
