"Now that the collapse has occurred, the roadblock built by Senate Democrats in 2005 is unforgivable."

Republicans held the majority in Congress and on that committee. Blaming the Dems is just a distraction useful on stupid folks.

danni, you know as well as i this has been coming for quite some time - and ALL who are complicit, not some, ALL need to be held to scrutiny.

let's start from the bottom up - let's begin with consumers - the want it now at all costs generation.

Nanc,

Lets go one further and blame it on ad agencies telling the consumers that they can have it all right now.

Zero financing.

Zero payments.

Three years.

Easy credit cards.

Let's go one step further....

Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

MTV Cribs.

All pushing an over the top lifestyle as something to be desired by everyone.

Americans need to be smarter. But they won't

I have seen a 200% increase in White Collar Fraud in my area. I make a very good living investigating it. I cannot hire CFE's fast enough. The average white collar fraud case costs a small business $150,000.

What do they spend it on? Casinos. Drugs. Private schools for their children. New cars. Electronics.

There is plenty of blame to go around.

"let's start from the bottom up - let's begin with consumers - the want it now at all costs generation."

Yeah lets' start with 350,000,000 consumers instead of the people who have been in charge these past eight years. OMG!!!! Sometimes the ideas on this blog are so incredibly idiotic I want to scream.

How stupid to blame it on the dems. Even more stupid is the people that believe that lie.
This goes beyond puppet dems and puppet pubs.
Globalist bankers control all of these choreographed financial situations.
Money is just numbers in a computer. When the fed wants more money. They just change the numbers. It's a fucking game. And the globalists are experts at it. they have been perfecting it for centuries.

What do they spend it on? Casinos. Drugs. Private schools for their children. New cars. Electronics.

Don't forget the "side" ass!

How the Democrats Created the Financial Crisis

By not playing dirty and losing elections to Reagan and Bush?

A bit on info on the author...

Kevin Hassett is senior fellow at the think tank American Enterprise Institute where he directs economic policy studies. He regularly appears on Bloomberg Television. He advised President Bush in his campaign, and he currently serves as a senior economic adviser to the John McCain 2008 presidential campaign.

And it gets better...

Hassett is coauthor with James K. Glassman, of Dow 36,000: The New Strategy for Profiting From the Coming Rise in the Stock Market. It was published in 1999 before the dot-com bubble burst. The book predicted that the Dow Jones industrials index would rise to 36000 within three to five years--i.e., 2002 or 2004
