When asked by Sean Hannity, "What countries today pose the most danger, in your view, to America?", Sarah Palin included Russia with Iran and North Korea and said that we must "keep our eye" on the country.

HANNITY: What do you view and I know this came up in your interview with Charlie Gibson, as it relates to the Bush Doctrine what do you view as the Bush Doctrine and what do you view as America's role in the world? What is our role as a country, as it relates to national security?

PALIN: That's a great question and being an optimist

SOOOOOO all u haters, the bush doctrine is a great question, she couldnt answer it a week ago, now its a great question.

PALIN: Well, I killed the Bridge to Nowhere. And you know, I think I ruffled some feathers there, also, with our congressman who had been requesting that bridge for so many years.

HANNITY: Never part of an effort to secede have Alaska secede from the Union?

PALIN: No. False. Always been a Republican, not been a part of a party that has wanted to secede.

look at the wording, not a part of a pary....

but her husband was and she said KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

Through reform, absolutely. Look at the oversight that has been lax, I believe, here it's a 1930s type of regulatory regime overseeing some of these corporations. And we've got to get a more coordinated and a much more stringent oversight regime.

WHO IS THE PARTY OF DEREGULATION?

HANNITY: Who is responsible for these failing institutions, in your view?

PALIN: I think the corruption on Wall Street that is to blame. And that violation of the public trust. And that contract that should be inherent in corporations who are spending, investing other people's money the abuse of that is what has got to stop.

And it's a matter, too, of some of these CEOs and top management people and shareholders too not holding that management accountable, being addicted to, we call it, OPM O-P-M, "other people's money."

Spending that, investing that, not using the prudence that we expect of them. But here again, government has got to play an appropriate role in the stringent oversight, making sure that those abuses stop.

soooooo corruption and addiction of OPM is the problem, yet here we are bailing out those corrupt people who were corrupt without oversight thanks to republican free market ideals.

thanks for playing.

PALIN: Yes it is gridlock and that's ridiculous. That's why we don't have an energy policy. That's why there hasn't been the reform of the abuse of the earmark process

hmmmm yet for 6 years the republicans controlled congress and the WH and yet nothing was accomplished.

wow

HANNITY: Let's go in to that. The people of Alaska get for example, there's no income tax, there's no sales tax in Alaska.

PALIN: There are in individual communities.

HANNITY: But no state sales tax.

PALIN: Correct.

HANNITY: The average citizen if I was a resident of Alaska, you would write me a check every year for $2,069?

PALIN: Well, depending on how the stock market is doing. Over the last five years an average.

HANNITY: And then you also gave recently an extra check for $1,200?

PALIN: I did. Because the price of a barrel of oil is so high right now that state coffers are growing, but the family's checkbook is being decimated because of the high cost of energy.

soooo lets think about this transfer of wealth.

AK are getting checks from the govt (sounds a tad socialistic to me), where is this money coming from?

TAXES ON OIL DUMMIES! THAT IS YOUR FUCKING MONEY!

TH,

Not really needed man. Everyone is already catching on......She's going to have lots of LONG winters in AK.

I found the link with the entire palin interview with hannity, most of it was fluff, no problem, fluff is fluff, chew through it for the substance and the substance appears to be lies

You'll notice, nobody is talking about the Hannity interview.

america.

america poses the greatest threat to america - at least in modern history.

I see Hannity is perpetuating the story that Obama sent a team of attorneys to Alaska even though the Obama campaign has stated the neither they nor the DNC have sent anyone to Alaska and have asked for a retraction from John Fund, the writer of the opinion piece that appeared in the WSJ.

" Let me ask you this, because there have been a number of controversies. I'll let you give a quick reaction to them. That have as the 30 mini army of reporters and op research people in the Obama campaign."

"the biggest controversy now that has emerged with the 30 investigators in Wasilla and the rest of Alaska, seems to deal with the firing of your ex-brother-in-law."

note that Palin was for wealth redistribution before she was against it all within the same interview.

Did Sean ask her about her tax returns?

Where are her tax returns?

Thank you Johnny Hotsauce, another one of her lies debunked.

The greatest danger to peace in the world today is the Neo-Con. Doesn't matter which country they are from because they all seem to want the same thing.

That being war. War with someone, anyone.

Make war one the worlds Neo-Cons and by doing this make the world safe to live on.

That is "on" the Neo-Cons--My bad-k

op research people in the Obama campaign.

The things I have been reading on the web from people who live in Alaska say that all the lawyers and outsiders are McCain people who have now taken over answering all questions about their state government.

I guess no lie succeeds like a bold one, eh Sean?

Not near as great as the danger of corrupt politicians and leaders of business and industry.
Like yourself, Ms. Palin.
Or Mr. Obama. McCain. Pelosi. Bush. Paulson. Clinton.
Or the head of vitually any corporation, whos wallet you find VERY attractive.

Clearly illustrated in the leadership < sic > of the last 7 years.

Change, Go Obama!

This broad is dumber than a stack of bricks -- and she's dangerous.

She thinks it was Russia who attacked South Ossettia "unprovoked." What an idiot!

Everyone knows the leader of Georgia went in and attacked first and Russia responded with their troops. "Unprovoked" when Georgia killed thousands of Russians in SO and bombed them first? That's Palin's idea of not provoking another country!

Do she even read a newspaper? Personally she scares the hell out of me because it's very possible McCain will leave office early if elected and she has no idea or grip on what is happening in the rest of the world.

Palin said Alaska provides 20% of our energy and McCain said she's an "energy expert." Alaska provides 3% of our energy.
No wonder they don't want her to open her mouth and won't let her talk to the press.

The VP office is serious.

For that sob McCain to stick us with someone who doesn't even know who started the conflict in South Ossettia two months ago and who thinks being able to "see Russia from my state" qualifies as foreign policy experience is disgraceful. God help us if idiot every gets in charge. Get a brain, Sarah and use it before you drag our country into war after war.

She hasn't even been elected yet we already know she is ready at the drop of a hat to attack Iran and now Russia.

God help our country.

every gets = ever gets

KEITH

Your #16 was dead on.

I think if I hear Palin say "the people" again I'll throw up.

It's always "we need to do this for the peeeople" or "the peeeople want reform" blah blah blah. Whenever a politician keeps saying "the people, the people" I start to get suspicious. She tries to sound like a populist but her agenda is pure Neocon and the Neocons are anything BUT for "the people."

Russia may have plenty of arsenal but it can't eat them --- that reality is slowly sinking in. Russia lost more (wealth and International stature) by attacking Georgia.

After the failure of the revolution of Khomeini the Little Satan, Iranians by the hundreds are turning to Christianity (secretly) and dissing Islam.

Kim Jong Il has not long to live and the two Koreas will eventually unite.

Iraq is becoming a tourist destination --- because it has rich ancient origins and the freedom and relative calm is surprising all the visitors. (Thanks Bush for getting rid of Saddam: under Saddam and sons, no true freedom existed).

Oh, BTW, Califchris need not misread Palin and fear --- because a long season of peace and prosperity is ahead. No more wars!!!! --- for a long long time.

Peace and Prosperity! Its coming!

God bless America!

The Half-Baked Alaskan ought to stick to mediating territorial disputes between moose and wolves.

Are you on drugs, boy? First of all, I guess you can go to Iraq like McCrash, with a full contingent of body guards and a bullett-proof vest and walk through the market in the Green zone but the rest is still very dangerous. Second, anything that there was to see as a tourist was either bombed or looted. (Thanks bush for destroying one of the world's oldest civilizations).

Palin: Russia Poses Great Danger

Palin's foreign policy experience comes from watching "The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show". Remember who the bad guys were? Yup, that's right. Those Russian spies Boris and Natasha

Here's a video on your Bitch Republiscums

Sarah brought with her a package with so many facets that connects well with middle America that liberals are like lilliputians at a loss where to begin the attack to pull her down --- and not succeeding!

1. Large family (5 children). A liberal charged that her only qualification was that Sarah did not have an abortion, and got burnt.

2. Her son going to Iraq in uniform.

3. Loving image of her daughter Piper taking care of Trig her challenge baby --- many moms connect with that.

4. Her beauty (generating some fashion gossip) and natural presence in public.

5. Her gift of speech and practical observations.

6. She is female.

7. And more.....(Hockey mom, etc)...

Sarah made such a splash in the national scene that it is difficult, if not impossible, to turn her into a negative by simply nimbling one aspect of her --- which some liberals have been trying to do and not getting far!

The liberal media's idea of covering the funeral of McCain and coronating Obama came to a screeching halt! They did a doubletake and went full swing in digging every little dirt they can find to smear Sarah --- but too late, the audience liked her already and besides, they are skeptical of liberal media anyway.

Troopergate. Lipstickgate. Downsyndromegate. Bridgetonowheregate --- they are slipping like water off duck's back. And the Obama camp is in panic and desperate. Tora tora tora get in their faces, the rock star in chief commanded. Obama thought sleazy campaign was beneath him (while his poll numbers were good), but now after being advised to get tough and dirty, he is getting beneath sleazy.

Sarah Palin has tricked all liberals into shooting their own foot.

"5. Her gift of speech and practical observations."

Gift of speech? She's got a voice that can kill puppies!

Care to link to any source showing where the "Obama camp is in panic"?

"Gift of speech? She's got a voice that can kill puppies!"

LOL!

The same voice that erased Obama's bounce from the DNC convention --- and she's yet to debate biden for the nation to see.

She is never boring and have a knack for hitting the right local flavor --- I know it when I hear one. And she's connecting very well with rural folks who elected Bush twice.

Sure, city slick West coast (California) and East coast (New York) are already in dem pockets --- but the rual voters don't listen too much to the condescending advice of the liberals.

Obama said that he would put his plan to raise taxes on hold because of the weak economy. He wamts to wait until later when the economy is stronger so he can ruin it for good.

""Gift of speech? She's got a voice that can kill puppies!"

to turn her into a negative by simply nimbling one aspect of her

What does that mean?

3. Loving image of her daughter Piper taking care of Trig her challenge baby --- many moms connect with that.

Good thing there's someone in the family doing it. Mom and and dad certainly have other priorities.

the Palin-McCain ticket is scary! what if they won and something happened to Palin, in that case McCain would be president, That's scary!

2. Her son going to Iraq in uniform.

As opposed to going to a different sort of structured environment in a different type of uniform.

"And Bristol marrying that fine young Christian, Levi."

The father-to-be of 17-year-old Bristol Palin's unborn child is giving Republican party minders no end of headaches. Levi Johnston (pictured) stepped into the public glare yesterday after journalists looking into the background of vice-presidential pick Sarah Palin - especially after the news was released that her unmarried daughter was pregnant - discovered his identity.

Although he has yet to speak to the press, his MySpace page has given the media plenty to feast on. He reveals on it he's "a fucking redneck" and, worse, that he didn't want children.

The United States has used military power to force every country to use dollars for commodity trading. This is the real reason for our aggression towards Iraq, Iran and many other countries.

Shrub's military adventures have been so foolishly executed that other countries can consider no longer banking dollars for trade. If and when this happens our standard of living will drop more.

Georgia bombed Russians citizens in the middle of the night. This event was likely engineered by McCain's advisor and Georgian lobbyist. Killing 1500-2000 Russians gave McCain a bump.

Russia intercepted US advisors directing the Georgian attack in English. After they trounced Georgia American military equipment was confiscated.

BushCo is blaming Russia for attacking Georgia. This is another lie. Imagine what we would do if Russia engineered a military attackon Peurto Rico.

Putin has made it clear that BushCo is a paper tiger. Talk is cheap, we are not in a position to bully Russia. Georgia and other satelite States must now know that it would be very dangerous to partner with us.

What part of Russia poses a great danger?

Is is the part where Russia is now keeping our country afloat by loaning us enormous sums of cash that they're making off of their oil?

I thought Reagan ended the Cold War? Seems that the neo-cons want to jump start it again, all in the name of fear and Defense Contracts that will whither after the Iraq war.

Palin poses more of a danger than Russia, Iran and North Korea combined. God help John McCain lives if he wins. Barak Obama should commit suicide if he can't beat John McCain.

Joelaby has already surrendered to foreign powers. I'm sure he will be a great appeaser to terrorists too.

In this world there are many who only understand threats with real power --- and the USA has real power with responsible leadership. Hence peace through strength. Hence terrorists fear Bush and hates him.

Reagan lured Russia to invest heavily in arsenal, but Russia did not have the economic power and collapsed under its own weight. Then Reagan stared Russia down: and won the cold war without firing a shot. A Carter (though a wonderful man he is) could not have done that, and a Mondale could not have done that. God raised Reagan for such a time as that.

God knew a Gore could not pursue terrorists vigorously, and a Kerrey could not pursue terrorists vigorously (both will be wimped by liberals who cared more for the rights of terrorists than the safety of Americans) --- and so Bush was raised for such a time as this: to be a scourge to terrorists. And he made Muslims apologize for being Muslims in this country --- Obama tried to run away from any Muslim association because Muslims are almost considered a curse.

Bush also frustrated the dem congress --- and a curse is on the dem Congress on the head of Harry Reid who allowed a Hindu to pray in a congressional meeting.

One should not be afraid of Russia. Iran can be taken out easily if need be. North Korea is a beggar nation and need not be feared. Well, the liberals are afraid of them.

The USA has power and should use it responsibly and leverage it for the good of the world. I don't trust blame-America-first-wimpy-
liberals on this one.

John McCain has experience and he is READY TO LEAD.

Looks like even Alaskans are tiring of Piranha Barracuda: www.latimes.com

The most sheltered VP candidate ever!

Its a joke to think that Alaskans are tiring of their blooming flower Sarah. Granted some are bearing grudges against her, which LAtimes touched on, but on the whole, as far as political capital is concerned, Alaska stand proud to have produced Sarah and is solidly Red behind her.

I guess our liberal friends are not getting it.... that she has closed the enthusiasm gap in the McCain camp.

It is the Obama's camp who are not able to close the 'sacredness' gap --- faith. People of faith for the most part are suspicious of god-insulting liberals.

it sure would be great to be able to snowmobile

No, the constant talk about Palin and the 'daily negative' she supposedly brings to the presses is just people doing whatever they can to ensure Obama will win the race....which is laughable at the attacks on a VP pick...not a Presidential nominee...but a Vice...

And it's not as if Biden's flapping trapper hasn't let loose idiocies to be talked about, right?

Go for it! You've caused consternation and grief over your selection!

They've chosen to ingore the fact their own Vice Presidential candidate IS part of the establishment, and been in the Senate longer than McCain! By LAW, the problem emminates from Congress! After all, they originated and passed the laws enabling this castrophy to occur!

Hem and Haw all you want or need, the fact is neither candidate has the true, complete answer to this problem yet!

They both know how to point that finger! One will find the way out, the other will find the ability to point his finger liberally around, the problem is knowing which is which!

Running as the VP with the OLDEST candidate to ever seek office, who has had 5 run-ins with cancer, is VERY much a reason to assume that she may become the president should McSame ever get elected.

As for Biden, he's very well known as has been vetted through 30 years of service.

The Mukluk Messiah was a complete unknown to most in the CONUS until a month ago. She's being vetted via the press because McSame didn't feel the need to do it.

Keep wining about the 'attacks' though. The recent 21 point swing AWAY from the Mukluk Messiah by the women voters is very telling.

SamBarber: PaLyin poses greater danger.

"And she's connecting very well with rural folks who elected Bush twice."

Dear, dear Takitez:

If you are trying to recommend Palin'-by-Comparison to other voters, I really would suggest finding another selling point.

How strange that someone who has the word 'truth' in his onscreen handle would title this thread 'Palin: Russia Poses Great Danger' when she said no such thing in the interview.

HANNITY: What countries today pose the most danger, in your view, to America?

PALIN: Any country that is going to house violent Islamic terrorists. We have to keep our eye, of course, on Iran. We've got to keep our eye on some of the ongoing activities in Russia, also. North Korea under the leadership of Kim Jong Il certainly there is a lot of concern there.

What we have got to commit to, also, especially when we talk about Russia, no Cold War. We have got to know that our mindset needs to be opportunity for pressure and diplomacy and sanctions if need be, as we keep our eye on a country like Russia.

What countries today pose the most danger, in your view, to America?

PALIN: Any country that is going to house violent Islamic terrorists.

Well, apparently not just any terrorists, but islamic terrorists.

OMG, when the state of Alaska had extra money she gave it back to the people.

Gee, that's exactly what every congressman does, tries to get their share and more. You have a guy in your party named Byrd who is pretty good at it.

If you can get him to give some of that money back then you might have an argument.

Alaska leads the nation in pork. Also, the reason that Alaskans get money back is because of all the taxes she has imposed on the oil companies. Isn't that what all of you cons are against? Besides, who winds up paying for all of those taxes? The rest of us.

Also, isn't she running on the "Say No To Pork" ticket?

Google for "alaska pork-barrel spending." The first friggin' result.

Arizona, the second fastest growing state in the nation, will receive just $18.70 per capita in federal earmarks this fiscal year. By comparison, Alaska with roughly a tenth of Arizona's population is set to receive $506.34 per capita, the highest in the nation, according to Taxpayers for Common Sense, a watchdog group which tracks earmarks.

Why calculate it in per capita? Why not per square miles or per tax revenue generated or rain fall?

But, more seriously, you may find smug comfort in pointing out a "gotcha" while quibbling that Kinger neglected to say "per capita" in his statement, BUT his point is very OBVIOUS and WELL TAKEN: Alaska is HARDLY an example one would choose to pick for taking credit as an example of a "low pork zone". Alaska, with only about 600K people, is still ranked NUMBER FIVE (and almost made it to #4!) in TOTAL AMOUNT [only being beating out by California, Texas, Mississippi, and Florida (all States with MUCH HIGHER population)].

In case you think the "per capita" unfairly skews against a low population State, how about Wyoming (with a lower population of Alaska with only about 500K): its total pork was less than $15 million.

And you blame Palin for this even though most of this is due to the congresspeople and Senators who sit on COmmittees that dole out the pork.

Be honest here (at least try)

On one hand you cry inexperience because Palin has been Governor for a short time and then blame her for all the port for her states success in getting extra funding for the past several years.

I'm going to assume you are using the "editorial you", since I've made no such claim/blame/cry about Gov. Palin and/or the source of "the pork". As long as "we" are trying to be honest, where is YOUR skepticism regarding the claims Governor Palin HAS made regarding eliminating pork and (at least!) implying credit for doing so for Alaska? For THAT I can (and DO!) blame her.

John McCain is a knee jerk 'decider', and in bed with the Georgians.

Palin....WTF does she know about anything?

Americanunity-
Palin can see Russia from her back yard, and she doesn't like what she sees, doncha know?

I say that Palin is just the person to keep an eye on the Russians.

For the next four years, I want her stationed on Little Diomede so she can glare across the Bering Strait at 'em.

If the Russians got puppies, tough shit.

Sarah Palin is a cunt with a pair of $400 designer glasses who dresses like the proverbial librarian with her hair cropped up that 60 year old men fantasize about undressing and screwing and who are eye candy for cock hounds like John McCain.

But if Sarah Palin isn't careful...my guess is Cindy McCain may very well beat the shit out of her in jealousy.

this broad isn't 'folksy' by any stretch, and anyone who buys her mooseshit deserves to eat it for the next 4 yrs.

she's fucking unimaginably arrogant.

"What, Charlee?"

"...needs some fixin'..."

are you fucking kidding me?

She's phonier on stage than bush and hillary combined.

McCain-Palin: Thanks, but no thanks...

Yeah, Sarah, Russia poses a great danger. To Attu and Maui. They don't call that that Roosky leader Ivan The Terrible for nothing. Saddle up the mooses. herm

Hahahahaha, imagine if Rogers didn't protect you from me...

It would be a bloodbath.

Rex-
Imagine if you hadn't begged your way back when you ran out of bus fare.

I never beg Boyd, I take. You know this.

No dirty deals struck, no back door agreements.

It just is.

Rex-
Charity is what it is.

You'd have had your ass kicked off any other blog, and you know it.

You post under the charitable intentions of a kind master, and like any churl, you pretend to be in charge.

Sometimes I charitably believe you are in on the joke, but nothing you post is responsible for that belief. I suppose I just can't quite fathom how you could be so full of yourself as to believe you are much more than a joker who plays at the whim and mercy of the king.

Hmmmm, I'm trying to follow your logic Boyd.

Do you know who I am?

Yep.

How am I Boyd?

Rex-
I don't know how you are, but I know that you are only here because RCADE decided not to toss your ass out, for whatever reason. I know that you were a participant in a failed site (PWZ) that was meant to challenge this site for attention, and that you actually used your posting privileges here (granted by RCADE) to promote your soon to be failed site, and encouraged posters here to leave this site for your own hapless venture.

Like I said, I don't know "how" you are, nor do I care. I know from your actions who you are, and I realize that it is only through the puzzling benevolence of RCADE that you are allowed to post videos of Loverboy, or to pretend that your balls have not been virtually removed by you crawling back here.

I love you Boyd.

But, I think you are confusing me with some mythical creature that you dream about.

Me? I am just another blogger, I don't have any majical powers, 'Rex Zeitgeist' was 'banned' for a couple or years, but that was just a business decision between myself and my long time buddy Rogers.

You must be thinking about someone else.

I'm just Rex the music man.

I won't harm you.

You're my pal Boyd.

Wow. Bumbles DO bounce after all.

or to pretend that your balls have not been virtually removed by you crawling back here.

I remember Rex and DKIA making Boyd cry from hurting his feelings so bad.
