All while campaigning as being an "advocate" for special needs children. I guess those special needs children just mean her kid and not the kids who want to compete in the special olypmics.

So, billions in state and local money for special needs children -- medical care, transportation, pubic schools, etc. -- isn't enough. Now, the government is also supposed to pay for this?

Is there any limit to what the government isn't responsible to pay?

Down syndrome kids don't matter.

Not according to the standard Obama stump speech. Of course if you are in the top 2% of earners with a special needs olympian, you're on your own.

"Not according to the standard Obama stump speech."

The Republicans have amassed the five largest deficits known to man, and NOW you're concerned about spending?

The Republicans got us into the Iraq war, and created the mess causing the bailout costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars, and NOW you're concerned about costs?

Selective outrage at its most partisan.

I guess with $85B to AIG, the answer is... no.

Selective outrage at its most partisan.

Exactly. Olbermann is complaining that a Republican didn't spend enough.
You're right Danforth, that is selective outrage.

Your own post is a much better example. Of course in Danforth world, the Democrats who voted in favour of the Iraq war are completely off the hook.

pot, meet Danforth.

For the last three years, I've been railing against deficit spending and what it would do to us and our economy, and you mooks never made a peep until a Democrat suggested spending some money.

No, they're not, but it was a Republican decision to invade and occupy, with dissenters being labeled as traitors.

She got 200 million for the bridge to nowhere which she then spent "elsewhere" you don't think she could have found a couple a hundred thousand for the special olympics? Really?

In Wasilla she thought a $24,000 SUV for her personal use - paid for out of Wasilla City funds - was a bigger priority than spending between $4000-$12,000 for rape kits
