EXACTLY. The Boeing or Rolls Royce engines would completely disintegrate.
Just look at the thousands of examples of other crash sites where the engines and casings 100% disintegrate.
It all makes sense now... happens all the time...

I bet it wasn't even that loud. We've grown up on Hollywood special effects and every time I've ever seen something tragic it was different than I thought it would be.

Engines don't disappear, never.
The wings have the thickest metal on the airplane.
The hole being 15 ft in diameter, well the plane is much wider in diameter than that so I guess planes can make a smaller hole when they crash.
