stated they had not realized the boxes displayed "offensive material."

Um, yeah sure. Listen if you are gonna push racist crap at least own it.

I agree the Obama Waffle Box has a tinge of racism to it -- more so because it was put on a box of waffles than anything else and because the lips are overly inflated in the cartoon.

As for his ears, though, no one can say anything about Obama being drawn all the time with big ears after eight years of Bush cartoons showing him with big ears and saying he looks like a chimp.

Also, can anyone tell me what they are talking about in the article where it says:

...Others say the box which depicts Obama with inflated lips, wearing a turban and stereotypical Mexican garb is exploiting racist stereotypes.

Where is the "turban" and where is the "stereotypical Mexican garb" in that picture?
I see no turban and since when do only Mexicans wear white shirts?

Chris,

The article says the muslim type head wrap was on the top flap of the box. It is not clear in the photo.

Family Research Council's Values Voters Summit

Racist or not, is belittling someone you don't politically agree with a Family Value? Whatever you think of Obama's economic policies or ability to lead, you can't disparage his love of his family and values toward them.

"If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"

Now, that's a family value.

Maybe they should concentrate on McCain's divorce or Palin's pregnant teenage daughter if they want to focus on "Family Values".

Maybe they should concentrate on McCain's divorce or Palin's pregnant teenage daughter if they want to focus on "Family Values".

Why? The Dems already do enough of that.

While the product is in poor taste (pun accepted but not intended), their explanation for how they came up with the idea was far from racist.

BTW, since when are waffles considered just a black thing? My family and I LOVE waffles. I never knew black people had a corner on the waffle market.

If it had been chicken and waffles that would be a bit more specific, but just waffles is a bit of a stretch considering that the name of the product "Obama Waffles" can also be made into a statement:

"Obama waffles."

waffle
verb (used without object)

1. to speak or write equivocally: to waffle on an important issue.
verb (used with object)
2. to speak or write equivocally about: to waffle a campaign promise.
noun
3. waffling language.

Where is the "turban"

See the video here:

www.americannewsproject.com

With the pic of the turban it sez, "point box towards Mecca for tastier waffles". hahahahahahaha... this is too good.

Also "recommended serving: 4 or more illegal aliens" and "Barry's bling bling waffle ring!"

Why? The Dems already do enough of that.

Yea, but we already know the Dems have no family values, right?

Since this groups main purpose is to promote "Family Values" and sanctity of marriage and all that crap, why do they support a divorced adulterer over a staunch family man?

It's gonna be a tough few months for the political cartoonists. Any attempt to exaggerate Obama's features, as they did with Carter's teeth, or with Perot's ears, will be hastily branded as racist.

Can't have that.

I just watched the video and answered my own question. Hell, if they're having Newt Gingrich speak on the subject of values, then McCain looks like a saint in comparison.

RiR

I agree with your tongue-in-cheek assessment about how "pc" Obama will have to be portrayed in order to not get the racebaiters in his camp all fired up. Sometimes they have a legitimate grip -- like the "Obama Waffles" box portrayal of him which is I feel is tinged with racism.

However, the fact remains that Obama does have large ears. Political cartoonists have always picked on a famous person's most predominate physical feature and then overemphasize it as the identifying trademark of that person's appearance.

Look at the comparisons of Bush made with a chimp -- BUSH AND CHIMP COMPARISONS -- and "chimp" comparisons have been made of Bush for the last eight years. Why is it okay to do that with Bush but any similar comparison used for Obama is racist?

That's the one hesitation I have with Obama being elected and it won't be his fault but the fault of some diehard racebaiters on his side. They often pick every single disagreement one might have with Obama's policies or decisions and call it racist. I don't believe Obama himself thinks that way but a number of his most ardent followers do. They need to stop whining "racism" at any and all criticisms of Obama. Let the political cartoonists do their job. The American public will let them know in short order when they think the cartoonists have gone over the line.

Yea, but we already know the Dems have no family values, right?

Promoting the values and claiming perfection are two different things.

Adherence to the truth is a pretty universal value to uphold. Have you been perfect in your life in upholding it? Not even a "little white lie" to spare someone's feelings?

That is where you are going wrong on this issue. You expect perfection or else the value must be a lie. You hold other people to a standard higher than you yourself could achieve with your own values just as a product of being human.

All that argument does is make you look petty and unreasonable and throws doubt upon other arguments you make.

I don't think that Dems are absent of family values. I think we share many values but disagree with level of importance on some of them, and disagree with how best to realize those values, etc.

I agree, Dems accept peoples' faults and foibles and think the Government, as a collective of the people, should help them when those faults cause problems. Pubs want to pass laws so that when people succumb to their own imperfection, they get thrown in jail and punished severely for being human.

Accept of course if it's someone they admire, then for some reason they are willing to forgive the transgression.

Have you been perfect in your life in upholding it?
#12 | Posted by moomanfl

No, that's why I don't want morality legislated, because I try not to be a hypocrite.

Let's take two contradictory statements from you:

Since this groups main purpose is to promote "Family Values" and sanctity of marriage and all that crap, why do they support a divorced adulterer over a staunch family man?

You say this as if it is a bad thing. As if what they should do is not forgive him or realize humans are prone to error. That they are in fact hypocrites instead of simply forgiving.

Then you turn around and say this:

Dems accept peoples' faults and foibles...

Now, were you lying in suggesting that the "divorced adulterer" should be treated harshly, or were you lying when you said you were accepting of peoples faults and foibles?

Don't worry, no matter which one was your lie I forgive you.

Moo, it's pretty clear what he's saying and he's not lying at any point. You're trying to set up some gotca and it's not working.

TFD didn't say that he would treat someone harshly just because they are a "divorced adulterer". He's talking about how the "Value Voters" take a position on how people should live their lives and support laws to support that position then they turn around and support McCain and Palin who have in their own family lives done exactly what the so-called Value Voters are opposed too.

It seems if they mean what they say then they would instead be supporting Obama who when it comes to his own life, walks the family values walk.

"chimp" comparisons have been made of Bush for the last eight years. Why is it okay to do that with Bush but any similar comparison used for Obama is racist?"

CC, you are either very sheltered or you are acting dumb. Using monkeys/apes in racist/stereotype attacks against blacks has been around along time. I don't think you've got to be a race baiter to point this out. To not recognize this is to ignore the history of racism.

Johnny,

He is taking contradictory positions.

First of all, lets make clear that in "Family Values" we are talking about.... values. Not laws. In other words, things that we should strive for.

He has demonstrated several things by his arguments:

1) He either,

a) Feels that the Right is somehow wrong in supporting a "divorced adulterer". If he didn't think that it was wrong then he would simply commend them for their stance of forgiveness. To do otherwise points out a lie in his contention that he is forgiving of peoples faults and foibles.

Or....

b) He feels the Right are hypocrites. To feel that way, the idea that they simply forgive the "divorced adulterer" or don't feel it is relevant to the subject at hand, has to be willfully ignored. That would be a lie on his part whether to us or to himself (or both).

2) He has shown that he seriously has no clue as to what drives the Right or where they are really coming from as much as he thinks he does. It suggests that he has pegged them all wrong.

The upshot of this is that this line of attack against the Right is now, and always has been, a loser for the Dems. People as a whole are too smart not to see the contradictions and don't take kindly to being treated as if they were stupid enough to fall for that kind of argument.

CC, you are either very sheltered or you are acting dumb. Using monkeys/apes in racist/stereotype attacks against blacks has been around along time. I don't think you've got to be a race baiter to point this out. To not recognize this is to ignore the history of racism.

Johnny, you are missing Chris' point, or being dishonest in your reply.

Chris didn't suggest that it should be ok to portray Obama as an ape/monkey/etc.

What Chris was talking about was the exaggeration of actual features common in caricature. Exaggerating his actual prominent features is hardly racist since for it to be so it would have to be different treatment that someone from another race would get.

I think Johnny said it pretty well.
I would commend them on their forgiveness, except it seems pretty arbitrary. They seem to be willing to forgive when it benefits them and condemn otherwise.

Take Rush for example, many on the right cheered at their radio when he espoused throwing drug abusers in jail, yet when he himself was exposed as such suddenly it's "He's only human" etc.

If even JH, who I'm pretty sure is no bleeding heart Liberal, sees my position, then I'm pretty sure you're just show willful ignorance, a regular tactic of the Right.

And on topic, I don't really find the picture on the front racist, but it is insulting, and the one in the turban is also baiting ignorance and insulting.

Like I said, is belittling and insulting others because they have a different political view than you a family value, I really don't think it is.

Not dumb nor sheltered -- even if I was raised in Catholic schools lol.
I've long been aware that Blacks have been compared to being like monkeys/apes -- an analogy I find disgusting btw.

But the point I was trying to make was no politician -- of any ethnicity -- can get away from cartoonists capitalizing on some particular facial feature when drawing famous individuals. Obama has prominent ears and so does Bush and both persons will have it pointed out in cartoons depicting them -- although sometimes absurdly so.

Where I do find it racist is when some magazines will intentionally darken the skin of someone who's Black -- something done to a photo of Obama on the Drudge Report website the other week. Or to make Obama's lips large and exaggerated to emphasize he is part Negro. Unlike his ears, Obama does not have real large lips and drawing his lips large is to bring race into the picture.

I have a few original comics and magazines printed during WW II that my parents saved. The way the cartoons were drawn back then of the Japs -- highlighted yellow skin, buck toothed, very slanted eyes -- would shock most today yet those were nationally read magazines like Time and Newsweek.

What I'm afraid of is if in this election Obama looses it's all going to come down to a cry of racism. Part of him not getting votes will be directly due to the fact he is part Black. But it's not fair to those who may not vote for him because they don't like his policies or positions and race had nothing to do with it.

Obama is quite liberal -- almost way too much for my tastes. Yet now that I've finally him give specifics about his policies on Afghanistan, Iraq, the economy, health and education, stopping the outsourcing of jobs, and wanting to build up our infrastructure here at home (bridges, highways, etc.) -- all things McCain refuses to talk about -- I am coming around more his way.

To be honest, some of my relatives still can't get by the fact Obama spent 24 years listening to Obama's racist preacher ranting at the pulpit in favor of Black Nationalism. I does bother me some too. I'm afraid Obama's preacher will come back to haunt him at the ballot box. 24 years is a long time for Obama to willingly listen to all those racist rantings in his church.

Of course those relatives of mine who say that's what bothers them (among other things) about Obama will listen to no one else but Rush, Hannity, and Fox News. They even scoff at CNN because they say "it's to liberaaaal" so I don't think they'd ever vote Democrat anyway.

looses = loses

I read somewhere once upon a time: "We are the sum total of all the days and events of our life, but that no one day or any one event defines a person unless it becomes a negative habit".....

real family values..

CC, have you listened to many of Rev. Wright's sermons? The media scoured through thousands of them, found a couple of kooky lines, and all of a sudden "this guy's been preaching racism and black nationalism for the past 24 years." I know people who've been to a couple of Wright's services. They know he likes attention and likes to get the people riled up. I know at least one Republican from Chicago who lost faith in Obama *after* he denounced Wright. She asked "how could he do that to his own preacher?" She saw the media hype about Wright as bullshit.

And regarding the article: Yes, Obama waffles are racist. The man barely has lips, but "all black people have huge lips," had to make sure to get that feature.

what these waffles need is change!

my name is Barack Hussein Osama Bin President and I approve this message...

Are Obama Waffles Racist?

With maple syrup -- no. With sorghum -- yes.

Show McCain in diapers sucking on some Oxycotin and we'll call it even.

Aunt Jemima syrup is out of the question too, of course when eating Obamam waffles

Nice reply CC. I see where you are coming from. I got a little hung up on the Chimp thing in your earlier post.

you're really kind of stupid and ugly too.

Sorry, I know I've posted it before, but your sheer ignorance, coupled with your on screen handle has me humming this tune with almost every post of yours.

Everyone does now about the famous (or apparently not so famous) incident where BHO just wanted to be left alone to finish his waffles, right? Everyone has reviewed other caricatures of BHO, right? In the unlikely event that BHO becomes president, we'd probably have a recall election after almost everyone gets tired of junk like this.

you don't have the stones to carry my sneakers

???

I guess that means something to you. I hope, anyway. I'd hate to think you wasted your time typing it.

waffles racist?

let's check with nobama toast and see what he has to say about it.

The very idea of GOP'phers accusing Obama of waffling, when their "maverick" candidate has sold out every independent idea he ever had to get their nomination, is ludicrous.

The stereotypical caricature is merely expected, considering the source.

Reckon there's a few southerner's here who have eaten at a Waffle House or two.

I always had trouble digesting the waffles but the coffee was good.

Did you know that 2% of all eggs produced in the country go to to a Waffle House somewhere? I read that in the AJC when I lived in Georgia.

Yes, the coffee is great. So is the cholestrol level you leave with !

Douglasville 1992 Waffle House survivor

FRC, please throw away all the Obama waffles and issue an apology. You are getting beneath Obama.

Bad taste!

I never heard of Waffle House restaurants. Don't believe there are any here in California. International House of Pancakes is the big name out West for a pancakes and waffle restaurant. Guess Waffle House restaurants are a southern chain?

Can't believe there's even a Waffle House Museum!

I don't know what the fuss is all about.

In the video I linked to, the guy asks the creators of the cartoon, if this would be seen offensive to muslims?

Hell no! I thought it was so funny it made me cry.

Meanwhile here is something fun to try...

To see how you would look if you were a Japanese style cartoon, go here:

www.faceyourmanga.com

It's for free and very easy.

You can see how I look over here on my page:
www.youtube.com

Make a cartoon of Obaba and share it with your friends. LOL

If you could guess a person's smarts by his looks, then I have to say Obaba does look kinda stupid. He is a cartoonist's dream subject.

Imagine yourself a waffle slathered in butter and just oozing with syrup. Now who wouldn't want to eat you?

So, Tosser, I saw your webpage the other day.

Do you want us to call you "PickledMangoes" which is the name on your webpage or stick to your name "Tosser"? lol

Also watched the video of some guy cooking for you.
Is that a Pakiburger? Are those "bunkabobs"?

And where is your face in the video? All I see are a pair of hands making something that looks like a hamburger. What is it you're making?

On a more serious note, you mentioned journalist in your video and have a few photos of food vendors. Are you like a Pakistani food critic? In the U.S. that's someone who goes to different restaurants and rates the service and quality of the food.

Any good recipies for Pakistani kabobs?

P.S. - No recipes using any goatmeat though. You might get your pal Goatsie upset. lol

That's bordering a little too close to "kinky" hahaha

This is satire--right?

Just like the New Yorker rag mag cover a month ago with Obama and Michelle?

I didn't think the NY cover was very funny and neither is this--bad taste.

Murphy

No it's not satire. There's a video clip in the story. Two guys put the waffle box together and are selling it at some GOP event. They swear there's nothing racist intended but their excuse is a little hard to buy.

Is that a Pakiburger?

Before we had burgers, we had "bun kababs". It is a primitive burger, with no mayo inside (but lots of chutney). It is usually about 1/3 to 1/4 the price of a real burger. Total junk food, but nice to have on the go.

Do you want us to call you "PickledMangoes" which is the name on your webpage or stick to your name "Tosser"?

I got plenty of other names. Over here, Tosser will do, thanks. LOL

And where is your face in the video?

I am not seen on any of the videos.... yet. I like keeping a low profile.

What is it you're making?

I'm making the videos only. I don't cook.

On a more serious note, you mentioned journalist in your video

"Citizen journalist". That means I don't work for a paper (though I do sometimes write for one).

A "citizen journalist" is someone with a phone-camera or video-camera, who might catch a cop taking a bribe... or run the hookers out of the neighborhood by taking videos of the people they do business with.

Can be powerful stuff, thanks to YouTube.

and have a few photos of food vendors.

No, no, those aren't just pictures. Those are links to other videos I made.

Click on them and they will play.

Are you like a Pakistani food critic?

I might become one. I like pissing off people.

Any good recipies for Pakistani kabobs?

Look up "seekh kabab" on Google. There must be like thousands of recipes.

Make sure they aren't Indian. Indians like adding too much salt, the stupid people.

No recipes using any goatmeat though.

I hardly ever eat mutton. I'm a beef eater.

You might get your pal Goatsie upset.

Just for that I will try and make a video of goat meat cooking sometime. LOL

Hmmmmmm, where was all the outrage 4 years ago when this website was selling George Bush urinal cakes?

Funny how that works.

And where is your face in the video?

My "cartoon face" can be seen on the top of the page, where it sez I am a citizen-journalist.

I was trying to say how one looks if you make a cartoon out of them. One might not look as ridiculous as Obaba.

GET SOME NUTS!

All I see are a pair of hands making something that looks like a hamburger.

Most "bun-kababs" are veggie. No meat. But they taste like beef.

Tosser

Here's a cooking video on how to cook seekh kabobs.

I don't know what she is saying though as I don't speak the language.

Cooking seekh kababs

I dated a guy from Iran awhile back (his family had to leave the country after the Shah was overthrown 'cause his Dad worked for the Iranian government and anyone connected with the Shah had their lives in danger after the Ayatollah Khomeini took over). Anyway, could he and his friends ever cook -- and eat! Eating was always a big event to them. One thing I learned from them was to always use dill weed in your rice and tarragon when you cooked eggs. Great flavor!

The Iranians also make good lamb kabobs. In fact, so do the Armenians who live around my neighborhood. The aroma of their kabobs cooking outdoors smells so good at night.

Okay, later, have things to do now.

Yes... I've seen the lady on TV. She is very good. But as you say, it's in Urdu.

There are thousands of written recipes on Google however.

From what I know, the key to making any sort of kabab or steak, is tenderizing/softening the meat. e have meat-softening powder. But a pro might like to use papaya (smeared all over the meat) or pineapple juice. Supposed to work like magic.

I had many Iranian friends in school who had to escape Iran because of the Ayatollahs. I liked them. And their food is good, but not spicey enough for my taste (pakistani food is much "hotter" than most other foods).

For Pakistani TV... cooking shows... or just to watch hot babes.. you can browse the Pakistani version of YouTube:

Okay here is a question that just started to bother me this weekend.

For the millionth time this weekend I heard a reporter say "no matter what happens this November this is an historic election. We will have either the first black president or the first woman vice-president."

So, here is my politically incorrect question. Obama is only half-black so why does he get to clam he is black.

My friends think is it because if he claims to be black he can game the system buy getting moved to the front of the line for scholarships in school, getting picked over better qualified white men for a job in order to meet and affirmative action quota. Or even run for president before he is qualified.

Thoughts?

Obama is only half-black so why does he get to clam he is black.

Spare us your faux outrage. Do you really think he's been able to present him self as anything else his whole life? Have you ever thought of him as anything else? In the 30's in the South, do you think he would have been able to sit in the front of the bus or take his daughter to a hospital?
Please, it's Whites who have defined race in this country since day one. They invented the gap and now pretend that it's artificial.

It is not racist it is political satire,-- or have you idiots on the left forgotten the difference. You didn't flinch at the satirical cartoons of Bush looking like a monkey so what is the difference. It is not Obama's fault he looks so goofy. From behind he looks like a VW beetle with the doors open and just what the hell is that thing on the left side of his nose, pimple, wart, what???

Spare us your faux outrage......

Hey who said I was outraged. Your a little frothy this morning aren't you. Whats the matter polls got you down.

You and your friends are pretty ignorant to history. Anyone who looks black or who is known to have any African blood has historically been considered black in this country.

I personally don't support affirmative action but to deny someone the right to call himself black when he obviously fits the historical definition used in this country is retarded.

I don't have a problem with that answer SULLY but my point is WHY is he identifying with the black race.

I agree with MLK's speach during the civil rights movement. The color of a mans skin means nothing, its what's in his heart that matters. That is where I have a problem with Obama his heart is in the wrong place.

"my point is WHY is he identifying with the black race."

Because he was probably called "black" or maybe some other less PC terms growing up and that's the ethnic group/race he most identifies with based on that experience. I've never actually heard him bring up his own race when not in response to a direct question. I'm sure he has done it but he doesn't seem to bring it up all the time. Why pretend that Obama is the only one who mentions race when the media and his critics (he's an Arab Muslim!) are obviously obsessed with it?

Certainly, someone like Palin is more enamored with the fact that she has a vagina than Obama is with the darkness of his own skin becaue she talks about gender way more than Obama talks about race.

I'm not voting for Obama, by the way. I just don't have a problem with him calling himself black and I don't think he plays that card as much as his opponents do.

I agree and disagree Sully. Obama has played the race card over and over again in this campaignand before. Most of the quotes below are from his books. Some are from the campign speaches

"They are going to say I'm different, I don't look like the other presidents...."

"I cant help but view the American experience through the lens of a black man..."

Why should I have to make the effort to disabuse whites of their ignorance about us?--

"Old habits die hard, and there is always a fear on the part of many minorities that unless racial discrimination, past and present, stays on the front burner, white America will be let off the hook.."

"if we stand idly by as America continues to become increasingly unequal, an inequality that tracks racial lines and therefore feeds racial strife and which, as the country becomes more black and brown, neither our democracy nor our economy can long withstand."

"For one thing, I was drawn to the power of the African American religious tradition to spur social change. Out of necessity, the black church had to minister to the whole person."

With 'DID I MENTION HE'S BLACK?' OBAMA PREDICTS GOP SCARE TACTICS--

We know what kind of campaign they're going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid. They're going to try to make you afraid of me. They're going to say you know what, He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. Did I mention he's black?--

this just for starts, I could go on for hours. Obama has used race as an offensive weapon since his early days in politics.

In Sarah Palin's case it is the press that is makeing the big deal about her gender and she is forced to defend herself, big difference.

DAYUM! These will go great with my Aunt Jemima Fluffy Flapjacks and Mrs. Butterworth syrup.

Here is what Obama's peers think. Go Dr. Manning go.

From the article

Mark Whitlock and Bob DeMoss, said it was meant as political satire,-- and sold the box for $10 from a booth at the Family Research Council event. CNNs Lou Dobbs stopped by the booth and exclaimed, My wife will love this!-- A photo shows Dobbs with a box of the mix in his hand.

They call this political satire the same as the New Yorker that most of the drudgies here thought was fine--great--no problem--it's satire stupid! Remeber the cover with Obama and his wife? Dressed liek terrorists, turban, Osama portrait, flag in the fireplace, MO with an AK-47...same kind of shit from where I am standing.

So when someone does it outside the family of the liberal family--it is suddenly racist, offensive, out of bounds, horrible!!

I think you are mad because your hero Lou thought it was great and bought a box.

Now that was funny, Can't anyone take a Joke?. Everything is racist..geez..i really miss the Frito Bandito

Oh How I miss the good ole days

Racial Stereotpyes can be funny!!!

i424.photobucket.com

Why are lefties such whiny bitches?

Oh, because they are thin skinned.

Personally I thought it was funny.

Nope not racist just like "Palin Fish Tacos" aren't sexist.

Gosh, and the lefties have been so circumspect in their descriptions of Bush and cheney, so respectful. There are caricatures of "people." Obama is "a person," and the carciature applies to him and his individual characteristics.

Where's the beef? News flash: Obama is black. So caricatures will also dwell on his identifying characteristics.

As Harry Truman is reported to have said, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." A politician is fair game. To date, Obama has largely been given a pass on his past involvements deeply ensconsed in "bash America" pursuits. Two-decade mentor racist hate-monger Rev. Wright. racist hate-monger Minister Farrakhan. domestic terrorist (Bomber Bill) Ayers. His grandfather's friend Communist Party operative Davis, who indoctrinated him as a youth. And don't forget Obama's days as "a community organizer," getting voters to keep the corrupt Chicago Democrat Party machine entrenched in power. I wonder how many "residents of cemeteries," "community organizer" Obama signed up with the remainder of the corrupt ACORN Project operatives.

Yes. Obama is black. And the fact that he is black and his connections formed in relation to that fact present valid considerations of his candidacy. Obama has been involved in "black liberation politics" for many years, seeking preference for blacks, and demeaning America and whites. Now he seeks to be a leader of all. But he's a racist. Only now his supporters say, "Shh. Don't mention it."

Amusing. And to me the caricature is well done and does evoke a resemblance to Obama.

"As Harry Truman is reported to have said, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." "

And if Sarah Palin can't handle the press, how is she going to handle Putin? Looks like she's the one who can't stand the heat.

"I wonder how many "residents of cemeteries," "community organizer" Obama signed up with the remainder of the corrupt ACORN Project operatives."

And since you can't be bothered with checking the veracity of what you post, the answer doesn't really matter, does it? I mean, as long as you get to make the "unsubstantiated" claims.

Palin seems to be doing a pretty good job from the perspective of the general public, especially considering the polls as a factor in assessing their decisions. Of course, "the lens" trhough which a ultra-lefty views Palin is actually a prism, so that all you see is a vision distorted by your ideology.

But hey, Null, that's the world as you see it. It's an interesting process. I may delineate it some day, how the brain works to produce the distortions caused by emotional predisposition.

"I may delineate it some day, how the brain works to produce the distortions caused by emotional predisposition."

Yeah you do that, gasbag.

I may delineate it some day, how the brain works to produce the distortions caused by emotional predisposition.

I assume it will be a case study of yourself you will be providing.

What are "unsubstantiated," Danforth, are your summary dismissals of allegations of Obama's history of misconduct.

Here is a link to an article regarding ACORN and Obama, that is "researched," and there are links to "authoritative" descriptions of the organization and its activities.

michellemalkin.com

Of course, Danforth, you'll summarily dismiss the article and the links, since you are so much a prisoner of your ideology that you have lost your "free will," and are bound and in thrall to any position that supports your predetermined positions. So much so, that you not only dismiss, but I suspect you are good at distorting and misinterpreting information, so that what you process is not congruent with reality.

ACORN is another boondoggle supported to a large extent, some 40% or so, directly with government funds, and the remainder also with other tax free foundation dollars, in an effort by the left to maintain political power, as is said, "By hook or by crook." You people are so cloaked in your own righteousness that you believe that the end justifies the means. The religious seek Paradise or Heaven, and the New Left seeks an earthly Erewhon, something like "The Blue Rock Candy Mountains," you know, where the cops have wooden legs, the bulldogs all have rubber teeth, and the hens lay hard boiled eggs. Unfortunately, reality does not conform to your model of how things work, which is predicated on fantasy, and wishing for it to be real, does not bring it about.

These visions of "good," gave rise to the ascension of mass murderers to power. Socialists such as Pol Pot, Mao Tse Tung, Bolshevik socialist Stalin, and National (German) Socialist Hitler, monsters who killed hundreds of millions ostensibly to impose their ideology "for good," gained political control.

Do you want to get in the sty with Obama, and slop at the public trough. Or are you more ambitious and seek to have these leftists gain political power and provide the same blessings to Americans that the Cambodians, Chinese, Russians, Ukrainians, etc., and the Europeans have enjoyed under previous illustrious leaders promulgating the socialist dream?

Obama is a seriously flawed person, forged in a furnace of racial and anti-American hate, and a man whose brain is obviously damaged and severely compromised by his use of crack cocaine. Some of his followers lament that there are not a sufficient number of blacks and crackheads in Alaska, as if those circumstances compromised the culture there. The supporters of Obama include crackhead advocates, condemend murderers in the process of being executed, and various other worthies. "The company you keep" surely helps identify who you are. Why are these people Obama supporters?

Another noteworthy Obama supporter has emerged. Lindsey Lohan, who just announced her pending marriage to another woman, has asserted her fervent support for Obama. Wow! I'm starstruck.

Well, the young and inexperienced are drawn to the drama of the left which promoses a cure-all, a panacea, which is a proposals are fantasies. but the young are too naive to properly vet these proposals.

Writes the jagoff who actually began a post with the following phrase:

"Of course, given the as yet unsubstantiated rumors that Michelle and Barack were swingers, he being bisexual, and she orgiastic..."

And when I asked if, two months after he posted it, he had "substantiated" any of those rumors, posted the following:

I haven't made any effort to do so since I don't care...Proof is difficult to collect in such matters... I'm not a zealot. I don't propose to go out of pocket to gather such information.

So he'll throw feces at every opportunity, but truth?!? Fuggeddaboutit.

Acorn had some bad apples, some otherwise homeless or low income crack addicts working there. I doubt they had instruction from the higher-ups to falsify voter registrations. Should've been more careful with hiring and oversight, though.

Thanks for posting something by Michelle Malkin, Johnson. I have her image in my head now. I'm gonna watch some video now! McCain should've picked her as his running mate. Yeeow!

Fools and government cronies (see: Jeb Bush and Florida 2000 unfair minority voter disenfranchisement) will always be there to falsify vote registrations (or in Bush's case, keep legal voters from voting).

Newsflash: all black people have big lips, even those that don't (i.e. Barack Obama).

Newsflash: pandering to the fucking Islamophobic idiots on the right by putting a picture of Obama in a turban and then claiming that he is Muslim... well, that's just an unfortunate reflection of the sorry state of certain sectors of our citizenry.

Newsflash: racism is not funny. It's really, really fucking funny. Haha.

Just what is "racism?" It seems to have floating definitions based on the goals of the person defining it.

Some folks seem to try to use the term to limit what may legitimate criticisms or well-founded observations regarding black people. This is regardless whether or not some outcome inimicable to interests of blacks is intended.

it seems that the zeitgeist has so sensitized many people that the mere attempted discussion of matters relating to race brings with it an immune response, and prevent any considerations as the uttering of the word, "racism," concludes the matter. Inquiry is equated with "bad," and potential topics are relegated to a banned category by the New Left establishment of a Censor Liborum, or its equivalent. The word "racism" is a bomb that stills all. Silence is pervasive afterwards.

There. There. Is that supposed to be an intellectual display, null? Or are you just a creature impelled by your emotions? Are you less angry now? Good. Most of us have empathetic impulses and if I've provided you with some release, it pleases me to be helpful.

No. Not a case study, but information garnered involving following experiments (and I was not one of the subjects) employing fMRI as an adjunct, that permitted construction of a model that provides an explanation of sorts regarding the formation, and persistence of political and other such strongly held beliefs despite what should be convincing contrary evidence.

As I indicated, it's not a "case study," but rather observes our mentation processes as human beings, although there seem to be differentiations based on several factors including original language, which influence nuances in our thinking.

Racism? You want to view an example of racism, then look at the current issue of National Geographic, which features an article on Neandertals, describing them as having genes for red hair and light complexions. Yet, the depictions of the Neandertals even with this script under the portrayal, shows the Neandertals - primitives - as being dusky compared to an adjacent sketch of modern man, who is white. There seem to be unconscious factors entering into the equation of "primitive and evil" with black, by our culture.

I doubt very much that those participating in preparation of the article are consciously "prejudiced."
