WASHINGTON - An overwhelming advantage in experience and lopsided support from working-class and suburban whites have lifted Republican John McCain to a slender lead over Barack Obama less than two months from Election Day, a poll on the presidential race said Friday.

Like I said before, keep comparing Obam to Palin, and watch what happens. The 'experience' issue with Palin simply reminds America of Barry's total inexperience, and HE'S the one that wants to be president, remember? It appears that America is deciding that Obama isn't qulaified. Keep up the Palin smears, though. It's working SO well, ya know.

Rove thinks Palin isn't qualified. He thinks her pick was a cheap political trick.

www.youtube.com

"Fully 47 percent say Obama lacks the proper experience an even worse reading than the 36 percent who had the same criticism about McCain running mate Sarah Palin, serving her second year as Alaska governor after being a small-town mayor."

Just goes to show, there's a sucker born every minute, especially in America.

The idea that this two-bit burgermeister of a little village is anywhere near as qualified as Obama is the most preposterous horseshit of this campaign.

How is Obama more qualified?

"This is his fourth year in the Senate, and two of those four years he spent campaigning for president," said Arthur Koch, 63, an undecided voter from Wallington, N.J. "I'm not too comfortable with that."

Guess THIS was your criteria for Obama's 'experience'?

Nulli,

Obama's spent most of his time in the Senate running for president. He's missed more votes this session than anybody besides John McCain. Meanwhile, Palin has been Governor. Obama may be smarter than McCain or Palin, but if Obama or you think that's enough to convince fence sitters that he's the clear choice, well that speaks volumes about how democrats really don't understand half this country.

And since it looks like I agree with cookie (heaven help me), I'll add that I think that Obama is probably a better choice than McCain, but onlyif I only have those two choices.

Essentially its like this. McCain will probably be 95% failure, while Obama.... maybe 75 or 80% failure... but that's being generous.

cookie quit blogging and make some cheese steak. or go play on the blue route.

Getting ready for the Phils to put another whuppin' on the Brewers, actually, JA. Hamels will dominate tonight. You forgot to mention pretzels BTW. Mmmm......

His mental equipment is far superior to McCain or Palin. Obamas judgement is the critical factor. Experience isn't a factor, as shown by your side in 2000. Bush had no experience, but your side said that judgement was the critical point. Many bought it, even though Bush had shown poor judgement all his life. The point was valid, even though the logic of voting for someone who had proven poor judgement was lacking. Obama has shown excellent judgment in the decisions he has made throughout his life. So now I guess you flip flop like all republicans when your point is applied to you.

Obama has better judgement than McCain or Palin--Obama doesn't think you have experience with the Russians because you can see Russia from your window. Obama doesn't lie about airplanes on Ebay. Obama is all about change---McCain is the same as Bush. Just a minor application of lipstick.

I didn't say that's enough to convince dumbasses who vote on who they would like to have a beer with.

The fact of the matter is that Obama has vastly more knowledge of national and international affairs than this bumpkin. But the fence-sitters don't care. So be it. Look forward to President Palin sometime in McCain's first term.

Total partisan BS, backed up by no facts, and pure opinion. I'll ask you again Bobby - HOW is Obama more qualifid than Palin? Please state concrete reasons, and maybe try to use your own brain for a change this time. And PLEASE tell me how he is even qualified to carry McCain's jock?

Again, just an opinion, which is really insignificant.

"HOW is Obama more qualifid than Palin?"

That was answered. How is a two-bit burgermeister of a tiny village qualified to be anywhere near the VP office?

Bull shit poll and don't even need to read it.

Cookfish posted it so it is not worth the time, when he can begin to post with some common sense not so much hackery then maybe it might be worth giving a notice.

Look forward to President Palin sometime in McCain's first term.

As long as it's not Nader's fault - ;-)

Obama has shown excellent judgment in the decisions he has made throughout his life.

Wright as his spiritual menton? His friendship with Ayres? His dealing with Rezko? His choice to vote "present" 130 times instead of taking a stand in the IL Senate? THAT kind of judgment. Puhleeze.

"Again, just an opinion"

Riiiiiiiiiiiight. The Republicans claim Palin has foreign experience because she can see Russia, but suggesting that is lacking is "just an opinion".

Cookfish posted it so it is not worth the time, when he can begin to post with some common sense not so much hackery then maybe it might be worth giving a notice.

Translation: I wish I could be clever too, but since I'm incapable of making a point and using my brain ina discussion, I'll just say something stupid and cranky.

That was answered.

No it wasn'. Your opinion isn't an answer that proves anything. In fact, I'd say it's a detriment to any sane person that has read what you've posted in the past.

""Again, just an opinion"

Obama publishes articles in the prestigious Foreign Affairs journal, and the joker from Juneau has never heard of the "Bush doctrine". Yeah, just an opinion.

'I say that Obama is smarter, therefore he should be president.'

--Billyfidian

Obama publishes articles in the prestigious Foreign Affairs journal

Oprah publishes articles in the prestigious "O" magazine. So what? I don't think she should be president either.

"'I say that Obama is smarter, therefore he should be president.'"

I didn't say that, dipshit. It's just a fact that Obama is vastly more educated and informed than your Mooseturd Messiah who needed 6 colleges to get a fucking BA degree.

Total partisan BS, backed up by no facts, and pure opinion.

Not at all. Obama was agianst the war--always against the war. McCain was for the war--always for the war.

I'll ask you again Bobby - HOW is Obama more qualifid than Palin? Please state concrete reasons, and maybe try to use your own brain for a change this time.

He hasn't lied as far as I can see---he isn't tied to Big Oil or any special interst group. Mcain lies--spread lies, and shows as his VP choice the worst VP pick in the history of the United States. Another liar by the way--proven by her lies about selling that plane on Ebay and making a profit--a lie spread by McCain

McCain is the same as Bush--they just put lipstick on it.

www.edmecka.com

Now tell me what attracts you to McCain---still think Bush has it right?

And I know "educated" people that I wouldn't let walk my dog. So what? We were talking about EXPERIENCE, remember, Billy? You still haven't given ONE example of this. Putting articles in a magazine doesn't cut it. Try something else.

"As long as it's not Nader's fault - ;-)"

Not at all. Since I have the luxury of being in a blue state, I will likely vote for Nader.

"We were talking about EXPERIENCE, remember, Billy?"

Experience at presiding over the Moose Festival doesn't count.

Cookie obviously believes a Harvard Magna and President of the Harvard Law Review is no smarter than someone who went to such bastions of learning as Hawaii Pacific College, North Idaho College, the University of Idaho, and Matanuska-Susitna College.

At least that's what he wants everyone else to believe.

Palin is a whacked out xtian zionist she is not qualified. Btw guys never listen to an eagles fan.

Cookie obviously believes a Harvard Magna and President of the Harvard Law Review is no smarter than someone who went to such bastions of learning as Hawaii Pacific College, North Idaho College, the University of Idaho, and Matanuska-Susitna College.

Again - college. So what? What's his experience, Danforth? What has he run? Besides his mouth?

"What's his experience, Danforth? "

Who cares? George Bush had "experience" as a Governor, and he's the greatest fuckup in U.S. history.

"This is his fourth year in the Senate, and two of those four years he spent campaigning for president," said Arthur Koch, 63, an undecided voter from Wallington, N.J. "I'm not too comfortable with that."

I've heard or seen this same quote pretty much verbatim several times the last couple weeks. Wonder who was the first to say it.

Why even address cookfish anyone, all just put down bashing and ignoring facts HE ALREADY knows.

OBAMA IS CLEARLY SMARTER THAN PALIN.

OBAMA IS CLEARLY MORE QUALIFIED THAN PALIN

to suggest differently is just obtuse ignorance and political hacking.

It doesn't mean anything in the idea of job performance though, I find it interesting that people are comparing palin to obama while idiotic mccain runs around free.

The comparison should be obama to mccain, palin is just a puppet which shows her less experience in just that.

"college. So what? "

I'd expect that when it's Harvard vs Mantanuska-Sustina.

One went to the most prestigious law school in the country, where he earned Magna cum Laude status, and another wandered/wondered her way through 5-colleges to get a sports journalism degree.

What's the next metric? Bowling scores?

One went to the most prestigious law school in the country, where he earned Magna cum Laude status, and another wandered/wondered her way through 5-colleges to get a sports journalism degree.

What a bull shit comment, talk about an elitist view. Kind of makes one want to vote for palin because of people like this talking crap.

Bowling scores?

She'd probably kick his ass.

How about basketball?

"What's the next metric? Bowling scores?"

Nah. It's how many wolves you've shot from a helicopter.

"college. So what?"

Posted by cookfish

So sorry you couldn't get into Harvard.

"What a bull shit comment, talk about an elitist view. "

Fair game, when someone suggests Universities and scholastic histories aren't any indicator of intelligence.

"Kind of makes one want to vote for palin"

Go right ahead. You're the idiot who wants to put the Republicans back in power because the Democrats can't change Robert's Rules of Order.

The fact using conjecture and school popularity to determine intellect and value is idiotic.

I know a few people who have not been to any college and would make them both look stupid and idiotic, but I guess we should keep up that elite status up, it is not so obama-ish.

"conjecture and school popularity"

What's conjecture about Obama's Magna status?

What's conjecture about Palin's 5-college trek?

And who in their right mind is actually going to compare Harvard's challenges with North Idaho College, or the requirements of a law degree versus the requirements of a sports journalism degree?

I don't see you denying the facts. Vote for palin if it makes you feel good.

Idiot.

I'll vote against Obama because it makes me feel good.

This poll result showcases how ill informed a large swath of the electorate is.

You're right, AmerUn. 36% is a lot.

I'll vote against Obama because it makes me feel good.

Me too!...can't wait to vote for John and Sarah!

CIK Hillary would be disgusted with that las comment. You have become little more than a troll here.

"You have become little more than a troll here."

Bwahahahaha....Rasta calling someone a troll...too funny for words.

HAR~! HAR~!

Cook, you always know when you have the Boob cornered because he tries to put you on the defensive by accusing you of Bushatosis.

This moment always signals when you've won against our favorite conspiracy theorist

Once upon a time in a village, a man appeared and announced to the villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10 each.

The villagers seeing that there were many monkeys around, went out to the forest, and started catching them. The man bought thousands at $10

As supply started to diminish, the villagers stopped their effort. He further announced that he would now buy at $20. This renewed the efforts of the villagers and they started catching monkeys again.

Soon the supply diminished even further and people started going back to their farms. The offer increased to $25 each and the supply of monkeys became so little that it was an effort to even see a monkey, let alone catch it!

The man now announced that he would buy monkeys at $50! However, since he had to go to the city on some business, his assistant would now buy on behalf of him.

In the absence of the man, the assistant told the villagers. 'Look at all these monkeys in the big cage that the man has collected. I will sell them to you at $35 and when the man returns from the city, you can sell them to him for $50 each.'

The villagers rounded up with all their savings and bought all the monkeys. Then they never saw the man nor his assistant again, only monkeys everywhere!

Now you have a better understanding of how the stock market works.

Vernon--you think asking someone why they like McCain means I lose an argument? Gee--he asked me why I liked Obama---why doesn't he lose an argument? You really are stupid aren't you. You aren't even pretending.

Obama beats the McSames on listening, open-mindedness, intellect, understanding the Constitution, and representing the views and understanding the needs of the average aspiring American.

The fact of the matter is that Obama has vastly more knowledge of national and international affairs than this bumpkin. But the fence-sitters don't care. So be it. Look forward to President Palin sometime in McCain's first term.

LOL. The simpleton continues to openly compare the Presidential candidate of one party to the VP candidate of the other. It just doesn't get any better than that. ROFLMAO.

"This is his fourth year in the Senate, and two of those four years he spent campaigning for president," said Arthur Koch, 63, an undecided voter from Wallington, N.J. "I'm not too comfortable with that."

Without question this should be McCain's attack for the rest of the campaign...

If he had spent all 4 years in Washington doing his job he'd still be unqualified for President, but he's spent 2 of those years telling people he should be President.

Community Organizer and 2 years in the Senate is not enough to be president... sorry. He's not qualified.

"Community Organizer and 2 years in the Senate is not enough to be president... sorry. He's not qualified."

You forgot his time in the Illinois state legislature. Which puts his experience about on the same level as another Illinois state legislator, Abe Lincoln. I suppose he was unqualified to be president as well. LOL.

I cannot understand, if Obama is such an empty suit, has no experience and hence, "unqualified for President," has a "funny name," is a person some people believe is Muslim, AND he's black...with all these things going against him I just don't understand why McCain doesn't have a 10-20% lead in the national polls. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Obama has not only about the same experience as Lincoln had, but as John F. Kennedy had when be became our greatest president since FDR.

I am hard pressed to find ANYone who has ever run for national office in our country on less experience of any kind than Sarah Palin. herm

This is the attitude that put the many idiots in office.

So if someone builds a birdhouse and someone else builds a skyscraper the experience and knowledge gained is the same? After all, they both built something.

Herm, objective news sources would agree with you.

"I am hard pressed to find ANYone who has ever run for national office in our country on less experience of any kind than Sarah Palin. herm"

LOL...Jim Wooten is right. The Obamites are in panic. They seem to have The One running against The Other and The One is LOSING...LOL.

"Herm, objective news sources would agree with you."

Well, the Atlanta Journal Constitution doesn't. The A.P. doesn't...but then, I guess the only "news" you consider "objective" comes from DailyKos or MoveOn...right?

www.ajc.com

Oh boy...

PANIC!!!

It appears that Obama was either not properly vetted or not vetted at all - oops! What's interesting is he is supposedly the best the left has, a shame really.

The company my spouse and I work for is small (Approx 45 million a year/approx 400 employees). When the owner hired a CEO to run it for him he had a headhunter's search done: for someone with credentials, i.e., years of actual experience.

I am hard pressed to find ANYone who has ever run for national office in our country on less experience of any kind than Sarah Palin. herm

Edwards, Clinton and Obama. Press away Herm.

You have to love the ignorant comparisons to Kennedy. Who is the Joe Kennedy buying the election for Obama? How do you compare a war veteran to a community organizer? Of course Kennedy was the last sitting Senator to go straight to the White House. Looks like history will be made. Of course it will be McCain and the dems streak of nominating Senators and losing will be in tact another 8 years.
