Seven years after President Bush vowed to bring Osama bin Laden to justice "dead or alive" for the 9/11 attacks, his White House press secretary offered this rationalization for why Bin Laden remains free: "This is not the movies, we don't have superpowers."

Most vexing? Not really-bushitter don't give a fuck about Osama Been forgotten.
His Saudi butt-buddies told him NOT to get Osama-he's off limits.
Why do you think our guys were stopped outside Tora-Bora, and the actual "getting" of Been Forgotten was turned over to locals who were sympathetic to him?

So that he could get away.

No more.
No less.

History has been rewritten, he wasn't behind 9/11 anyways according to White House Press Secretary Dana Perino.....

thinkprogress.org

It's all because Clinton got a bj.

I never knew Bin Laden was gay!

"Dead or alive", who said that? Must have been talking about Saddam Huessein.

"Was it over when the Iraqis attacked us on 9/11?"

"Was it over when the Iraqis attacked us on 9/11?"

Or maybe it was over mass genocide, pursuit of WMD (that everyone believed) and Sadam's refusal of inspectors into the country...

Or maybe it was over mass genocide, pursuit of WMD (that everyone believed) and Sadam's refusal of inspectors into the country...

Genocide that occurred before the '91 intervention.

"Everyone" didn't want an invasion.

The inspector had to leave Iraq because Bush needed His war.

Bin Laden is dead. But the idea of his being alive gives the libs good reason to think Bush has just sat on his ass, and gives others good reason to go tearing up parts of the world in a pretext to find him.

Neither side wants to acknowledge the obvious.

The inspector left because he was only allowed enttry to areas determined by Sadam...

Russian intelligenece, US (lack of" intelligence, England, the list goes on). Hell, their are quotes from Hillary, Kerry, and all the leaders of the Dem's saying he had WMD. NOW they try to weasal out saying they were lied to but of course, they saw the intelligence briefings... classic party politics.

Of course Obama voted against it... or was that "Present"

How convenient.

Those 911 conspiracy nuts are making more and more sense the more i learn.

I will follow Mc Cain and Palin to the gates of Hell.

Living on the Afghan/Paki border can't be easy, especially when you need kidney dialysis. He turns up in videos and tapes fromtime to time which reflect knowledge of current events. If he's dead, its a recent occurance.

Many members of the bin Laden Family attended Osama's wedding and were on the first airplane cleared to fly after 9-11. Someone up top was sure police interviews were not required.

Democracy my ass. Its all bullshit and its bad for you.

Of course Obama voted against it... or was that "Present"

Nope. At the time Osama was busy in a state legislature voting 'present'

That's known as: Experience We Can Believe In

Think of Eric Rudolph (or is it rudolf?)... he was in this country and it took years to find him. He knew the land and was somewhat supported by the local population.

Bin Laden is loved in that area of Pakistan and Afghanistan... we like to think everyone turned to us on 9/11, but in reality a lot of Mulsims were cheering. They keep him hidden and protected. That's why we he's still alive.

This is Republicanism in a nutshell; incompetence. They are quick to tell you that government doesn't work. It doesn't work when they are in charge. Reagan said government was the problem. Time has proven that Reagan was (and is) the problem.

That's why we he's still alive.

No.. he is alive because Your Chimp won't dare ask if he reached Saudi and if he is hiding with his mom.

If I were O'Binbin, immediately after 9-11, I would go to the Balochistan coast and hop on to a fishing boat that also doubles as smuggling/trading boat and reach Dubai or Oman in less than 2 days.

Once there, I would take a taxi to Saudi. LOL

People do this... illegal traveling by fishing boat from Pakistan's coast (and India's coast) all the time. Everyone knows this.

And I am sure the Americans know this. But do they dare ask Bush's Saudi pals? Noooooo!

They keep him hidden and protected.

But aren't you offering a $50 million reward or something like that? LOL

Either the people in that area are better folk than you... not motivated by greed... not spoiled... OR.. Bin Ladin just isn't there.

Maybe your handle should be Gobbler. How does Boob's love juice taste? Salty?

vern, I'm sure this is an alien concept to you, but you can disagree with what i say and at the same time, at least pretend like you have some class.

Flop Ears and the libs have watched too many war movies and have not seen any real combat action, which really calls into question why anyone in their right mind would want Obama to be Commander-in-Chief.

Either the people in that area are better folk than you... not motivated by greed... not spoiled... OR.. Bin Ladin just isn't there.

I have another theory... he is there, he's supported by the people who live within you borders, and you come here trying to convince people he's not because its as much an embarassment to your country as it is to ours that he is free in your nation.

The sad thing is that noone even bothered to ask for proof that bin laden even had anything to do with 9/11 at all. People took his word for it out of political convienience and here we are...

The sad thing is that noone even bothered to ask for proof that bin laden even had anything to do with 9/11 at all.

No the sad thing is you haven't lost your hands to Leprosy and still have the ability to type.

he is there, he's supported by the people who live within you borders

If true then it means we have far better people living in our border areas than you have living in America.

They don't care about the $50 million reward!!! LOL

Imagine that.

and you come here trying to convince people he's not

Nobody knows where he is or in what part of the world he is. That is a fact.

I just told you how damn easy it is to hop on a fishing boat to Dubai. That is just one of many many possibilities.

If true then it means we have far better people living in our border areas than you have living in America

Because they won't turn over a mass murderer that makes them better then Americans?

I think you've got that mixed up a little...

They don't care about the $50 million reward!!!

right, they care more about being fucked up Muslims, shooting women and burying them alive because they had the audacity to want to choose their own husbands... or maybe its too hard to fit in going to the authorities in between this mornings stonings the the afternoons beheadings...

Beautiful culture you have...

7 years later???? How about 15 years later to be more accurate.

Because they won't turn over a mass murderer that makes them better then Americans?

Could an American have the strength of character to refuse $50 million?

No.

because they had the audacity to want to choose their own husbands

It turns out there is no proof of that either. Might never have happened.

But the American mother microwaving her own American baby, did happen.

Beautiful culture you have. Microwaved babies...

Beautiful culture you have. Microwaved babies...

Yeah, microwaved babies are deeply imbedded into our culture. That's why every has been doing it for hundreds of years.

Sometimes it's just better to keep quiet than to make absurd analogies, tosser.

Alaskan magnetometers went BONKERS with every 9/11 "event", including the planes-shaped holes appearing in the towers. HAARP was involved.

No one in New York reported the deafening sound of wide-body commercial airliners hitting the towers at full throttle.

In 1999, the Washington Post reported on the military's psychological operation hologram project.

Stuck between FF and Newsworthy, I'll go with sarcastically FF.

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

What part of this don't you people understand?

Bin Laden lives because Bin Laden is Bush's best friend, indeed almost the only reason Bush sits in the White House now. He is all the Repubs had until I-Was-A-POW and Sarah. herm

...Nope. At the time Osama was busy in a state legislature voting 'present'...That's known as: Experience We Can Believe In...Posted by vernon"

And while Sarah Palin is conducting Foreign Policy from a little Island overlooking the Russian Continent, Vernon can hold her Eskimo Uggs.

What a Moron!

Da report: "Nonetheless, most observers agree that Iraqi compliance was superficial and oriented to facilitating the process of inspections, rather than on providing cooperation in substantive matters."

"The four-year hiatus in inspections allowed Iraq to rebuild some facilities and possibly relocate programs without U.N.inspectors in the country. Many observers believed that Iraq developed new methods of concealment and obstruction, including the use of tunneling under existing buildings to avoid excavations being detected by satellites, as Blix noted in his March 6 working document on disarmament task."

And "UNMOVIC requested interviews with 38 individuals but interviewed just five privately in February and nine in March."

Sadam kept up the front that he had WMD... and he and his country paid the price.

That's why every has been doing it for hundreds of years.

No, it's something pretty new, I am sure.

Sadistic madness will always find a new way to show up.

I see Sully has bought into the "let-take-a-whole-speech-out-
of-context" crowd. Anything's possible on the Internet.

Lemme help.

I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

Where was this quote from? I googled the whole thing and certain word groupings from it. The only thing that came up were three left wing sites that start off with, "for your amusement" and stuff like that.

Did the MSM not pick up on it for some reason?

thanks for any help. I just wanted to read it in its full context.

Q Mr. President, in your speeches now you rarely talk or mention Osama bin Laden. Why is that? Also, can you tell the American people if you have any more information, if you know if he is dead or alive? Final part -- deep in your heart, don't you truly believe that until you find out if he is dead or alive, you won't really eliminate the threat of --

THE PRESIDENT: Deep in my heart I know the man is on the run, if he's alive at all. Who knows if he's hiding in some cave or not; we haven't heard from him in a long time. And the idea of focusing on one person is -- really indicates to me people don't understand the scope of the mission.

Terror is bigger than one person. And he's just -- he's a person who's now been marginalized. His network, his host government has been destroyed. He's the ultimate parasite who found weakness, exploited it, and met his match. He is -- as I mentioned in my speech, I do mention the fact that this is a fellow who is willing to commit youngsters to their death and he, himself, tries to hide -- if, in fact, he's hiding at all.

So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you. I'm more worried about making sure that our soldiers are well-supplied; that the strategy is clear; that the coalition is strong; that when we find enemy bunched up like we did in Shahikot Mountains, that the military has all the support it needs to go in and do the job, which they did.

And there will be other battles in Afghanistan. There's going to be other struggles like Shahikot, and I'm just as confident about the outcome of those future battles as I was about Shahikot, where our soldiers are performing brilliantly. We're tough, we're strong, they're well-equipped. We have a good strategy. We are showing the world we know how to fight a guerrilla war with conventional means.

Q But don't you believe that the threat that bin Laden posed won't truly be eliminated until he is found either dead or alive?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I -- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him. I know he is on the run. I was concerned about him, when he had taken over a country. I was concerned about the fact that he was basically running Afghanistan and calling the shots for the Taliban.

But once we set out the policy and started executing the plan, he became -- we shoved him out more and more on the margins. He has no place to train his al Qaeda killers anymore. And if we -- excuse me for a minute -- and if we find a training camp, we'll take care of it. Either we will or our friends will. That's one of the things -- part of the new phase that's becoming apparent to the American people is that we're working closely with other governments to deny sanctuary, or training, or a place to hide, or a place to raise money.

And we've got more work to do. See, that's the thing the American people have got to understand, that we've only been at this six months. This is going to be a long struggle. I keep saying that; I don't know whether you all believe me or not. But time will show you that it's going to take a long time to achieve this objective. And I can assure you, I am not going to blink. And I'm not going to get tired. Because I know what is at stake. And history has called us to action, and I am going to seize this moment for the good of the world, for peace in the world and for freedom.

Was I talking to you, Goatse?

Yes. This is an open forum of which I am a member. I suggest private email if you don't want others to participate in your dialogue.

Link to the above.

So Sully cut-and-pasted a selected quote from a left-wing 'blog site, and pretended that Bush doesn't really care about OBL. What part about that don't you understand?

Funny. The libs pretend that Bush has tunnel vision on the war on terror. That his obsession with stamping out terror attacks, and terrorists themselves, Bush tramples the rights of ordinary Americans who, I guess, are no longer able to ring up their Al Queda pals on their cell phones without worrying about who might be listening in. But I'm also supposed to believe that Bush doesn't care about bin Laden, because of careful cut-'n-pasting of a White House press conference.

I wish you guys would get your talking points straight.

Here's Bush live, you pathetic apologists for an abject failure.

Nothing but a lying apologist for a failure.

I was probably referring to the thread at hand -- I don't really remember. So don't feel so hurt.

TO be honest, this time I didn't realize it was your post until I read th last line anyway. Actually I would've known anyway -- only you would have suggested something as abusrd as microwaving babies is part of the American culture.

From youtube.com. Oh. Has that been peer-reviewed?

Next up: a link to a Wikipedia entry, a Buffalo Bob quote, and closing with: "(insert descriptive adjective)apologist for a(n) (insert another descriptive adjective) failure." And don't forget another Arhenius reference!

It would be great to get this guy--put him on the table for cameras like they did for the Hussein boys.

Or Chimpy is trying to destabilize Pakistan now that Musharraf is gone..

Perhaps.

We did find proof of that among the dead Taliban we killed a few weeks ago by gunship bombardment.

3 of the dead were un-circumcised. Indians.

And we found dead Afghan soldiers too with Afghan documentation on them.

OK, so they weren't Americans... but we believe.. the media believes... Chimpy is encouraging Indians (who are in Afghanistan) and regular Afghans (who have always had a beef with Pakistan) to carry out sabotage attacks.

only you would have suggested something as abusrd as microwaving babies is part of the American culture.

It never ceases to amaze me how one crazy story after another pops out of America, showing off it's culture.

For example, every once in while... well, more than once in a while... someone goes nuts and shoots up the place, Columbine style.

A new phrase was added to the language to describe the phenomena... "going postal" (since it started with postmen).

etc etc etc.

I don't believe such things happen anywhere else with such regularity.

So don't feel so hurt.

No, I ain't hurting no more! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

now that Musharraf is gone..

The new President is a mediocre piece of shit.

The American media called him "mediocre" and this is one rare occasion where I agree with them.

So maybe Chimpy thinks he can light a fire under his bum?

Maybe he thinks that sending Afghans into Pakistan, as "Taliban"... bombing a few girl's schools.. will make us bomb the Taliban in return?

If so, then it worked. We killed over 100 just yesterday.

Seeing that NATO kills, at the most, 30 Taliban in any one op, killing a 100 in one go is remarkable.

Taken somewhat in context... tsk... tsk

LOL cherry picking is what got us in the hole were now in..

An Animal House reference. Nicely done!

bin Laden took a backseat to more pressing concerns. Namely, bin Laden provided an opportunity to make our footprint larger in the ME. And we have certainly done that.
