It's just a post convention bounce. Nothing to worry about. Now I have to go clean my Michael Phelps poster and detail the van. -AmericanUnity

Yup -- "For the first time this year John McCain has taken the lead in the electoral college, albeit by 2 EVs."
This is good news for Repubs, but it underscores the overall difficulty for McCain. Even with the Palin bounce and a national lead in most polls, he's just barely edging Obama in the electoral vote. The map's set up better for Obama than it is for McCain.

Rcade,
Never underestimate the stupidity of voters.

After last night's interview with Palin it is likely that the debates won't help Republican chances and add to that the realization by many Americans that the McCain campaign is lying in most of their ads things may look different soon. I hope.
But there is always that: Never underestimate the stupidity of voters.

The map should be the darkest shade of blue ever with only Texas, Wyoming and maybe Utah slightly red...
That McCain is in this race and maybe even winning is phenominal news for McCain.

I thin the best way to win over people considering voting for McCain, or still undecided is to call them stupid...
That should get them right over to Barack...

You people are beginning to scare me.
I know you don't want to hear, "I told you so!", so get off your asses and get this guy elected!
A young guy I know who is a financial advisor and a devout Republican is out ringing doorbells for Obama here in Naples.
If he can do it, so can you.

Danni,
It is clear that this society has devolved from a nation of thinkers to a nation of soundbites. If it cannot be said in 2 minutes or less the ADD population will lose interest.
That of course lends itself to lies and false facts. It is much quicker to state "Obama is a muslim" than for the truth to be told.

RCade just out of curiosity, this site was a front page story after the Primaries and Obama took a large lead over McCain...
Why isn't it now that McCain has taken his first lead of this cycle?

Obama's newest ad mocking that McCain can't send email...
my.barackobama.com
Problem is, if this wasn't a common problem, I would have to fire two guys that work in our IT department... My own mother just learned how to send a text message...
I think implying McCain is stupid for not being computer savy is a losing argument...

I guess this proves that most Americans think rape victims should have to pay for their own evidence gathering kits.

IOW, if McCain wins, voters are stupid. If Obama wins voters are brilliant.
I think 726 just proved himself to be one of the stupid ones.

If another Republican can lie and smear his way into the WH, it only proves my point further.
Republican are very good at getting the dumbest of Americans to vote for them.
