Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

"Here's the deal: Palin is the latest G.O.P. distraction," Bob Herbert wrote in a New York Times op-ed on Tuesday. "She's meant to shift attention away from the real issue of this campaign--the awful state of the nation after eight years of Republican rule. The Republicans are brilliant at distractions."

Wrong. The real issue is getting done what is best for the country, in spite of party lines. Throw out affiliations, base it on total experience in leadership and getting things done, and you will be left with McCain/Palin

"In order to have a fighting chance after eight ruinous years of Bush, the Republicans need voters to lose sight of where we are as a nation and how Republican leadership got us there."

"base it on total experience in leadership"

But believing in the direction they want to lead you might enter in there somewhere too.

If she was meant to be a distraction, the only people who "fell for it" are the loser democrats in the media who weren't going to vote for her anyways. If the general public falls for it, the media have nobody to blame but themselves for shitting their pants over her.

In fact, this article is an example of how hilariously biased the media really is. First, shit yourselves to the point of oblivion over the Republican VP pick no matter who she happens to be. Next, blame the Republicans for causing a "distraction." It's essentially a two for one.

PALINAPHOBIA!

"The Republicans are brilliant at distractions."

Let's give credit where credit is due. KOS and overzealous lefty bloggers.

Fortunately reality will be back biting Americans in the ass until November. 75,000 jobs lost last month. INflation is eating away at our pay checks. Wages are stagnant. Sarah Palin is a distraction but John McCain proudly will speak tonight about how more of the same will bring change. I think America will not be fooled. I could be wrong but I doubt it.

Told you it was a right wing deflection.

Amid all the anti-Palin b.s. flying around right now, I find this idea to be the most credible. It turns out, if true, the plan worked like a charm. Right now Obama seems like yesterday's news.

:)
until next week
when mccain will once again be yesterday's news

notice how mccain needed an entire convention and a woman vp pick to get name recognition

poor mccain

i hope not, but never underestimate the stupidity of the american public.

I dunno. I've heard a number of Republicans state Palin continues to put them horribly off message. Given how staged-managed McCain has become, I think that's closer to the truth.
