Sen. Joe Lieberman's speech before the Republican National Convention, which broke promises he made beforehand not to attack Barack Obama, could cost him the chairmanship of a key Senate committee, a top Senate Democratic aide told CNN.

hahahah joementum out the door

It couldn't happen to a nicer liar.

If there are no gains in the senate, they'll be forced to keep him.

He's the monster they created when Gore picked him for VP in '00.

One could assume the Knesset'll have a seat waiting for him when he's ready.

Poor Joe. Speaks his mind, which could be also called "change", and is thrown to the curb.

Wis,

Joe is the voice of the zionists, he was told what to say and where to say it, he does their bidding.

The zionists are doing all they can to hold on to power and continue with the Iran bombing agenda.

The Knesset won't like it if Joe is punished. He won't be going anywhere.

I have no doubt that the dems will punish him because for all their talk of diversity of thought and comapssion for the other side and people and all of that...

they dont walk the talk at all
this couldnt be more evident than with the treatment of sarah palin by them and the media.....

for years they have preached about women in the workplace and thats out the window just for one instance because we now see that they REALLY meant LIBERAL WOMEN all along

Poor Joe. Speaks his mind, which could be also called "change", and is thrown to the curb.

He should have spoken his mind before he was elected. I'm sure the dems who voted for him felt betrayed. Say goodbye in 2012. No more Lieberman.

His credentials as an "independent" would be alot more respsectable if he wasn't shilling at a major party's convention.

Whatever happened to Zell Miller?

REALLY meant LIBERAL WOMEN all along

#8 | Posted by bushlovertwo

It really meant non-nazi women. Non-jusuits would be nice too.

He didn't really attack Obama, and his speech even included an applause break for Bill Clinton... at the GOP convention!!

He happens to think McCain is a better choice for President, so he has to be punished? That's kind of fucked up when you think about it.

but isnt he from a state that is supposed to be so independent and all.......isnt that what we heard about conn?

and that is a good question about zell

he might be wandering around LOOKING FOR MATTHEWS TO PICK ANOTHER FIGHT???????????????LOL

oh probably not since matthews is all gay for obama since he gets a tingly feelling up his leg whenever he hears obama talk

The Knesset won't like it if Joe is punished. He won't be going anywhere.

#7 | Posted by LeeAtwater

I'd be willing to make a medium to large bet on that. His stock will be lower than whale shit, no matter what, after the election.

The Knesset has lost it's power because they do not listen to the voices of the jewish people, and they jumped in bed with bush/cheney. thier power source, bankers have lost their asses because of it. why do you think what's his name resigned?

Lip, that's what they want you to believe.

Lieberman--under strict rabinical supervision. What a tired old bitch.

thier power source, bankers have lost their asses because of it.

LOL... and they run the media right Lippy...

"He happens to think McCain is a better choice for President, so he has to be punished? That's kind of fucked up when you think about it."

Let's just imagine for a moment that the situation was reversed and Joe were a Republican speaking at the Democratic convention.....oh I'm quite sure they would let him continue chairing a committee....riiiiight.

The righties are hilarious with they phony outrage.

Lip, that's what they want you to believe.

Guys, I work with jews every single day. I know what they say and what they feel. I am a software administrator for a piece of software that was written and managed from Israel. I have to converse with them every day.

Most of them are right wing assholes just like our right wing assholes.

But jews have an extraordinarily high percentage of really intellectual people, for what reason i do not know. They may be pushed around physically but nobody will push them around intellectually. Most of them will not say anything because the enemy they know is better than the enemy they don't know.

They see lieberman as a joke and a hack.

He's going to be punished for deserting his party.

The GOP would do the same for one of theirs, and rightfully so. Lieberman is a "victim?" Right. You reap what you sew, as the Good Book says.

"Sen. Joe Lieberman's speech before the Republican National Convention on Tuesday night could cost him the chairmanship of a key Senate committee, a top Senate Democratic aide told CNN. "The Democratic Caucus will reassess the situation with Sen. Lieberman after the election," Jim Manley, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, said Wednesday."

Police state. No free speech. Toe the line. Obey!!! Now that is change we believe in. GO Nobama!

They see lieberman as a joke and a hack.

#20 | Posted by Lipzoidial

But a useful joke and hack, right?

He's going to be punished for deserting his party.

The ONLY reason Harry Ried is the senate MAJORITY leader is because Joe Lieberman caucused with the Democrats. He could have gone to the Republicans after his treatment by the Democrtas in 2006 and given them the majority...

But he's a deserter...

And don't let the door hit your a** on the way out, Joe! Buhbyebye!

Poor Joe. Speaks his mind, which could be also called "change", and is thrown to the curb.

YEAH!

Funny Flag!

I seem to remember a number of attorneys who were let go for "speaking their minds"!

Do you mean like that?

I also seem to remember a few generals being pushed out the door for "Speaking Their Minds"!

Do you mean like that?

Back then it was all that Pleasure of the President-- nonsense coming out your mouth!

Oh how your tune has soured since those salad days!!

He happens to think McCain is a better choice for President, so he has to be punished? That's kind of fucked up when you think about it.

I don't think so at all. He made his bed, now he gets to lie in it. He shouldn't have an influential chairmanship in the party after pulling that stunt at the convention for the other party. The Republicans can have him.

He could have gone to the Republicans after his treatment by the Democrtas in 2006 and given them the majority...

#24 | Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole

That had nothing to do with loyalty to the democrats and everything to do with his retaining his seniority and getting that chairmanship.

I don't think so at all. He made his bed, now he gets to lie in it. He shouldn't have an influential chairmanship in the party after pulling that stunt at the convention for the other party. The Republicans can have him.

#27 | Posted by rcade

So the fact that its the Democratic Senate because of Joe Lieberman means nothing?

That had nothing to do with loyalty to the democrats and everything to do with his retaining his seniority and getting that chairmanship.

#28 | Posted by Hagbard_Celine

You don't think the Republicans would have rewarded him?

"The Republicans can have him."

If this election produces 58-60 Democratic Senators, all will be forgiven. Especially if Joe is the sixtieth. I wouldn't burn that bridge to nowhere just yet.

Correction to headline:
Lieberman WILL lose chairmanship.

He happens to think McCain is a better choice for President, so he has to be punished? That's kind of fucked up when you think about it.
#13 | Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole at 2008-09-04 11:53 AM
YEAH!

Oh the irony! Its hurts!

I think the word thats sorely missing from your post is Personal Responsibility--!

Do you think being held accountable for your actions are fucked up when you think about it-- now?

OUCH.
Redneckville completely PWNED Wisgod!

So the fact that its the Democratic Senate because of Joe Lieberman means nothing?

Yes, It means the republicans can claim a democrat congress while they still fuck everything up. After November, when there is a real democrat congress and Lieberman gets dumped for the traitor he is, the country will start to rebound from the horrible mess idiots like you asked for, for the last two elections.

Do you think being held accountable for your actions are fucked up when you think about it-- now?

#33 | Posted by Redneckville

Lieberman thinks John McCain is the better man for the job, but you think he should never have said that because its more important to be a democrat then an American.

Like Joe Biden... Joe Biden doesn't think Obama is qualified to be President and would rather have run with John McCain. But because he's a good Democrat he's put aside what he truly believes is good for America because he's a Democrat first.

You don't think the Republicans would have rewarded him?

#30 | Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole

Probably not... they don't take kindly to those they consider traitors... even if he wasn't a traitor to their cause, they knew that he was for Lieberman first and foremost. He can't be trusted.

"Lieberman thinks John McCain is the better man for the job, but you think he should never have said that because its more important to be a democrat then an American."

Its OK to think that. Its even fine to say that. But to actively campaign for, support, and advise the candidate from the other party, while disparaging the candidate from your own, then you should expect some repercussions.

He can't be trusted.

#37 | Posted by Hagbard_Celine

LOL... 8 years ago he was #2 on the DNC ticket!

Its OK to think that. Its even fine to say that. But to actively campaign for, support, and advise the candidate from the other party, while disparaging the candidate from your own, then you should expect some repercussions.

So party over country... that's essentially what you're saying right?

8 years ago gas was

Chances are Lieberman never would have spoke on behalf of McCain had your duechebag party not tried to ruin him.

You've got your cause and effect backwards.

At this point, Lieberman had nothing to lose.

Oops...should have been gas was less than $2/gallon.

Nope. I'm saying that everyone makes choices, and there are ramifications for those choices. Lieberman didn't choose country over party. He chose friendship over party. And that's fine, but nobody should whine if the party is not amused.

Wonder what ever happened to this Joe Lieberman, such a short time ago?

Good point... he'll probably get an admin position in McCain's administration.

Judging how the DNC has acted against Lieberman over the past couple years if they made enough gains in the coming election they probably would have taken his chairmanships anyways...

"You've got your cause and effect backwards.

#42 | Posted by JeffJ"

I don't think so.

And BTW, when did you join the RTA school of "douchebag"?

Disappointing.

"You've got your cause and effect backwards.

I don't think so.

Well you think wrong. jeff is right...

LOL... 8 years ago he was #2 on the DNC ticket!

#39 | Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole

Well some lessons are hard learned.

Good Grief

What did Lieberman do? In his reelection he disagreed with his party on one issue and they crucified him and backed some metrosexual goofball and the people of connecticut still elected him because he looks out for his constiuents

He still votes with them DEMS on everything else, Are they that Narrow-minded that anyone who thinks differently from them is to be outcast? Their rabid, zombie-like followers on this page..Who think he should be thrown over, I understand there hateful reasons

Everyone know that they left hides behind "Tolerance, Multi-culturalism, societal Justice" to mask there fascist, almost NAZI-like vision, where anyone who disagrees is bad and must be collected by the 'Love Police" and sent to a "rehabilitation" center

Lefties (DEMS) are scary, they talk about killing and are gleeful when conservatives die or get very ill, or if you don't agrre with their agenda, your are "racist, homophobe, a NAZI, " always some name, can't ever be you just have a different opinion.

And Joe Lieberman did tremendous things for the dems

BENEDICT ARNOLD= JOE LIBERMAN.....This ASSHOLE owns his career to the Democratic Party an those poor people who give him money to run for election under the Democratic banner, if this FUCK has any class he would become a REPUBLICAN, but he didn't because he know that he would be more effective attracking the Democratic ticket if he was identified as a DEMOCRAT...PIECE OF SHIT!!!

BENEDICT ARNOLD= JOE LIBERMAN

Celisary = Jack Torrance

send this asshole to Israel where he belongs.

Chances are Lieberman never would have spoke on behalf of McCain had your duechebag party not tried to ruin him.

Yeah, it was so cruel of the Democrats in Connecticut to vote against him because they thought Ned Lamont was better. If it weren't for his long snuggle-hug with Bush and the Republicans, all of his Joementum would have been lost.

Yeah, it was so cruel of the Democrats in Connecticut to vote against him because they thought Ned Lamont was better.

So the Democrats in Connecticut thought someone was better for the country then the guy they were supposed to vote for and they actually voiced that opinion.

Quick someone punish the traitors and take away their electoral-votes.

Celisary=Batshit Crazy

When is the race war you giant bag of crazy?

So Basically, The fact that Joe Leiberman voted against the whacko anti-american left on ONE issue, it is Okay to berate and insult him and let your true anti-semetic feelings come out. If we killed all the Jews, who would you hate then? Can't be the blacks, you need them to keep someone addicted to governement programs to ensure you get votes. Can't be hispanics, you need them to bring in more votes be it legal or illegal. Can't be women, you need them to keep the baby killing going so you can show how "progressive you are. Maybe the Gays, perhaps you will hate them, a small voting block. No, you need them to show that traditional americans are "bigoted" and "hateful"..So If you kill all the jews and destroy Israel, who will you hate lefties?

Cue the assumptive republican horseshit talking points and blind outrage...

I see Rob's running around in circles barking and salivating at what he perceives to be a bent over donkey again. Too bad his inflamed mangina doesn't let him get out more. Tool.

"So If you kill all the jews and destroy Israel, who will you hate lefties?"

Now THERE is the textbook definition of "batshit crazy."

Great stuff today from the ultra-right. Keep swinging away...eventually you might hit something.

Plenty of blame/fault to spread around if we really want to.

Dem party's thirst for power will keep Joe on board till it's no longer necessary. We'll see after the election whether he's still "needed."

Joe has every right to vote the way he feels, but I think it's improper for him to speak at the opposition's party while he still has a chairmanship. While he's technically an Independent, for all intents and purposes he's counted as a Dem. As such he shouldn't have spoken at the Rep convention. He should have resigned whatever ties he has to the Dem party, switched affiliation to Rep or retired from politics before speaking at the Rep convention.

Regarding the Dem thirst for power, that thirst is the reason why it was so much easier for Dems to pile on John Edwards for his extra-marital affair vs the Bill Clinton serial affairs. Clinton was in office - drumming him out meant a huge shake up in power. Edwards, OTOH, is expendable now that he's a two-time loser in POTUS primaries.

I see Rob's running around in circles barking and salivating at what he perceives to be a bent over donkey again. Too bad his inflamed mangina doesn't let him get out more. Tool.

I think he's tryin to say that you have the hots for rosie o'donnell.

Guilty.

The Dems will piss and moan but they will NOT punish Joe.
Why? Well you keep hearing that after the election they will have a simple majority in the Senate without Joe's vote.
BUT guess what? They WILL NOT have 60 Senators. So they will need Joe's votes to break filibusters and if they punish Joe he will withhold his vote when they need to get 60 votes to overcome filibusters.

So as much as Schumer threatens, the Dems will do nothing... something they have a great deal of experience doing. Just ask Obama. What other State Senator can spend six year in the Legislature and not write ONE SINGLE BILL? He did more work when he was scoring cocaine on Chicago street corners...

If there are no gains in the senate, they'll be forced to keep him.

Even Elizabeth Dole is in trouble now.

Look to pick up at least 6 seats in November.

So party over country... that's essentially what you're saying right?

#40 | Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole at

thats EXACTLY what the hypocritical liberal fucks are saying
can you remember how many times they have thrown that at you for whatever reason?

Lieberman has seen it coming even if he does not endorse McCain --- so better move a step ahead of the dems who have been plotting to humiliate him.

Nope. I'm saying that everyone makes choices, and there are ramifications for those choices. Lieberman didn't choose country over party. He chose friendship over party. And that's fine, but nobody should whine if the party is not amused.

what dripping nonsense is this?

you have no idea that he chose friendship over country. he says it was country over party and you choose to call him a liar over it.

what liberal jibberish this is.

and that last line has to make you FEEL really good but it doesnt say how a neophyte president and his entrenced liberal VP will do it under a few trillion bucks,...
