When rightwing pundits gush about what as qualified selection Sarah Palin is, are they lying or just being stupid?
When John McCain says that middle class is less than $5 million in income, is he be lying or just being stupid?
When GWB seemingly opens his mouth and says anything, is he lying or just being stupid?
When the likes of Pinche Mao or Johnson or RightWingDon post their opinion, are they lying or just being stupid?

And the question needs to be asked, were these people born stupid? Did their Moms and Dads give them "stupid genes"? Or was there something twisted about the environment they grew up in which rendered them stupid? Too much TV? Too much time listening to televangelists? Too much Rush? What is the underlying explanation for the vast chasm between reality and rightwing talking points?

My theory is: insecurity coupled with a frustrated sense of entitlement.
Either that or they're all sociopaths:

Three or more of the following are required:[2]

Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest;

Deceitfulness, as indicated by repeatedly lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure;

Impulsivity or failure to plan ahead;

Irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults;

Reckless disregard for safety of self or others;

Consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations;

Lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another.

Laziness begets stupid.

A lot of people don't even bother to rise to the highest level of their incompetence. And when you have an influx of immigrants who barely have an 8th grade education your going to have to settle for less, which is not moving the nation forward.

Laziness does beget stupid. But does stupid beget RightWing? Maybe...
