The mayor who fired people who wouldn't follow the mayor's bizarre moral code sure is getting an ass-kicking.

But will Granholm punt him (doubt it) or will Mcsame ask him to be VP?

Well Granholm is a Dem and Kwame is a Dem....but, heck it will be a Repubs fault. Yep, got that NG3...

The mayor who fired people who wouldn't follow the mayor's bizarre moral code sure is getting an ass-kicking.

Is that the very same mayor who left her town $20,000,000 in debt even after getting $26,000,000 in pork from the US Taxpayers?

At least Kwame's daughter isn't knocked up. -The Left

Ride-just trying to be impartial. Kwame needs to go but City Council needs to do the firing. I'm predicting Granholm won't do it because of the ongoing trial-innocent until commutated.

And speaking of mayors, looks like McSame did indeed jump the shark-

ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 2 -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was not subjected to a lengthy in-person background interview with the head of Sen. John McCain's vice presidential vetting team until last Wednesday in Arizona, the day before McCain asked her to be his running mate, and she did not disclose the fact that her 17-year-old daughter was pregnant until that meeting, two knowledgeable McCain officials acknowledged Tuesday.

I can't believe that Larry Mohr is really gone.

He's gotta be out ther lurking.

Maybe he's doing the marijuana maintenence thing for his DR addiction...

726,

The town was $2 Million more in debt than she had started.

She requested $26 Million she received 6.8Million in earmarks.

You want a link go through my posts...

Beforwarned the difference between a hockey mom and pitbull is the lipstick.

NG3,
Please don't make the nooner about Palin and her daughter. I'm OD'ing on the topic.

Several months ago I listened.
Then each month, once each month, I listened again.
As of yesterday, I listened.

At first I thought it was some soap on TV. Leave it for months, come back, and the story pretty much is the same.

But, it wasn't a soap.

It was Hannity.

So, what issues are we discussing today?
Wright, Ayers, Rezko, etc.

He wants to discuss issues, but he doesn't.

After months of flipping the radio stations just to hear these names again and again is so tiring.

Guilt by Association.

Hannity is friends with a criminal, who was fired by Reagan, and had immunity to avoid punishment for his crimes against our nation and the Congress. He is Hannity's friend. Guilt by Association.

I hear Obama doesn't have executive experience. Neither does McCain. We didn't have a primary end with one. We have Two Senators.

So, what do they do? They write bills and vote on them. That is essentially their only job. They aren't executives, they aren't the judiciary. They write bills and vote on them.

So, the question I ask myself is what kind of job have they done? Obama has less years than McCain in such a job.

I look at less time, meaning less things to review, vs. more time and more things to review.

In the end, in reviewing their achievements and failures, I must weigh who did better (or worse).

I'm not convinced that either has produced legislation that pushes them into the Presidency. There are 100 Senators. Is every single one of them capable of being President? I think quite a few would say they are not - and have done far better than these two in the job of Senator.

For a fencesitter, I'm listening to where they want to lead us. Their life stories are remarkable - both of them. Both have the confidence of many, many voters.

Before I consider which to choose, I am going to take a good look at Congress as, despite my choice, the Congress needs to be considered this year, too.

6 years of single-party power has proven that at least one party can be trusted with such unbalance. I'm not so convinced that trust can be placed in any other either.

So, in a year where I must judge what is best for my country, I may have to vote to keep the Executive and Legislative branches from singular ownership.

NG3, and who is going to fire Monica Conyers who will take over for "Shrek" when he becomes the fill in Mayor. The City Council is mostly corrupt and some of them are under FBI investigation. Kwame will cut a deal and run anyway, imho.

Dave Bing will run under a corruption clean up slate, again imho.

Larry talks in his sleep.

"they did their job"

So their only job is to "lame duck a president?" Have they done anything else worthwhile to earn those $165,000 salaries?

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 3 -- At least 20 people were killed in northwest Pakistan on Wednesday after U.S. and Afghan troops crossed from Afghanistan to pursue Taliban insurgents in an early morning attack that marked the first known instance in which U.S. forces conducted an operation on Pakistani soil since the U.S.-led war in Afghanistan began, according to witnesses and a Pakistani official.

Another foreign policy coup for President-in-Waiting Obama.

did you guys otice last night while Fred Thompson was jerking off the american public, that he conveniently left out one point.

When he was talking about the USS Forrstal accident (that killed 134 sailors) he said that the pilot behind McStupid fired a missile and hit McStupids plane. Even the redacted version of these events says that McIncompetent did a wet-start and blasted the guy behind, which set off the rocket that hit his plane. More republican lies.

This was McSames ideal of a joke (blasting the guy behind with a wet-start).

i think the democratic congress did an wonderful job of preventing the crappio president from further doing harm.

The war didn't end. They didn't cut funding to the war.

Klifferd, if they cut funding, would you say that would have been political suicide?

That's the term that I've heard. People voted them in to end the war. Voting to stop funding the war is what the people wanted them to do. They didn't prevent further harm being done. More of our soldiers died.

They are still there, dying.

I see your logic. It is better to lose 100 soldiers by leaving them in harm's path than do anything to save them.

How would you know? I doubt you have ever kissed a woman.

Does your face still hurt from the slap you got in the Obama on O'Rielly thread?

Rub some hand lotion on it. You seem to have plenty of it around your bedroom.

#22 | Posted by Petrous

What could they have done differently? Keep sending bills for veto? The responsibility rests squarely at the feet of the CIC.

I turned on the Republican Convention last night and it was painful to watch. Particularly cringe-worthy was the token Hispanic speaker who, at the end of his speech, shouted "VIVA JOHN MCCAIN!!! VIVA AMERICA!!!" The audience was, as expected, full of stodgy old farts.

#21 | Posted by Lipzoidial

They also left out of the Raygun love fest that he pushed through one of the all time largest tax increases ever.

Phred had a lot of nerve to bring up the Forrestal "accident". Just more revisionist history from the GOP. Funny how McWetstart was transferred off the Forrestal immediately afterwards.

Oh I agree, but the reality of the situation was that Lil Bush was not going to compromise at all.

Remember when the Republiturds refused to give Clinton a budget he wanted and he let government shut down. He came out the winner for standing his ground.

I can see why the Congress did not want to have the same situation with the soldiers caught in the middle.

As I've watched CNN's anchors today, it's struck me that this RNC circus has turned from politics into an anchorettes' celebration of female reproduction. They're all going into heat! What are young girls in America to think? What the hell is going on? Are we going to have an unmarried teen baby boom nine months from this week? Boys all over America are saying, "hey Levi...right ON, dude and THANKS!"

My sorry ass little opinion would be that impeachment would be on the table from day 1.

We have ample evidence that executive orders and signing statements can do a world of harm (i.e. about all that McSame would have going for him (oops, forgot the Justice Dept.)).

The Republicians are at it again, in this Election cycle they are trying to run against the Republician Party of the past 8 years. These fuck are telling the American people that they are not the same Republician Party that elected George W. Bush in 2000.

They are not only running against Senator Obama, but against George W. Bush. So according to these clowns the Real Republician Party, was out of office all this time an if we give them another chance they will undo the damage that the Bush Administration has done to this Country.

IS ANYBODY REALLY BUYING THIS SHIT?????????????????

The Elections polls seem to be close so somebody is really buying this SHIT!!! The American electrate have got to be the dumbest Bastards in the World. CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICIANS, care more about thier Party than they do America.

No, you are just a retard.

"Was it the fact I called you by your old name or did you recognize my critique of your lame retorts?"

I would just like to say that name changing works on me. Even when someone points out that you used to post under a different name, I honestly forget about it two minutes later. I don't remember 99% of what anyone here says from one thread to the next. I am sure I am not alone in this. So don't let 101 discourage you from changing your name and pretending to be new.

(Note: My selfish motive for this is that name changing makes me believe that douchebags sometimes leave this site to be replaced by fresh douches when the reality is that we are really just experience douche recycling.)

Glad you enjoyed it. Come back anytime.

Why do people think that if Congress cut the finances of the Iraq War that the President would let the soldiers rot?

Congress should not have funded the war. Then, let Bush explain to the public what he intends to do with an underfunded war.

"But, they won't fund the war!"

Political Suicide is better than funding a war you don't believe in.

W"hat could they have done differently? Keep sending bills for veto?" Absolutely. There is no balance of power if one scale refuses to act.

65 | Posted by SanAntonioRogue

Definitely doing a booty check.

Boy he sure is subtle.

Petrous,

I agree with you. Peloony and her bunch are a group of cowards.

Impeachment should have never been taken off the table, but was done so for political reasons.

Same with the funding bills. But they are playing politics. They want to "be on record" for wanting the troops home even if that goal was not accomplished.

Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God.--

Sarah Palin

Has McCain been vetted?

This is a serious question. We've gone through the debates and Clinton and Obama went head to head, with a couple others, but we really did have them questioned.

But, when looking back at the Republican debates, was McCain really vetted before the public.

The winners of the debates didn't include McCain. In fact, I don't think he won any and was always a distant finisher.

With that in mind, how will he handle the debates considering others did better than he did in last year and this year's debates.

Petrous,

I am still trying to figure out how he won the primaries.

He was always way behind in fundraising and at one point the speculation was that he would drop out.

Separated at birth???

Peggy Noonan, Mike Murphy Caught On Tape Disparaging Palin Choice: "It's Over," "Political Bullshit," "Gimmicky"

Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan and former John McCain adviser, Time columnist, and MSNBC contributor Mike Murphy were caught on tape disparaging John McCain's selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his Vice Presidential running mate.

"It's over," Noonan said.

When Chuck Todd asked her if this was the most qualified woman the Republicans could nominate, Noonan responded, "The most qualified? No. I think they went for this political bullshit about narratives. Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and that's not what they're good at, they blow it."

Murphy characterized the choices as "cynical" and "gimmicky."

The Haircut

One day a florist goes to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he
asked about his bill and the barber replies, 'I cannot accept money from
you. I'm doing community service this week.'
The florist was pleased
and left the shop.

When the barber goes to open his shop the next morning there is a
'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his
bill, the barber again replies, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm
doing community service this week.'
The cop is happy and leaves the
shop.

The next morning when the barber goes to open up there is a 'thank
you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for him at his door.

Later that day, a college professor comes in for a haircut, and when
he tries to pay his bill, the barber a gain replies, 'I cannot accept
money from you. I'm doing community service this week.'
The professor
is very happy and leaves the shop.

The next morning when the barber opens his shop, there is a 'thank
you' card and a dozen different books, such as 'How to Improve Your
Business' and 'Becoming More Successful.'
Then, a Congressman comes in for a haircut, and when he goes to pay
his bill the barber again replies, 'I cannot accept money from you. I'm
doing community service this week.'
The Congressman is very happy and
leaves the shop.
The next morning when the barber goes to open up, there are a dozen
Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between
the citizens of our country and the members of our Congress.

Vote carefully this year.

Hello!

As my own PC is still down, I am posting this just to say that I am alive and not kicking (he, he).

I hope to return very soon and will be back making a monkey out of myself.

I don't know how long this will last as the owner is usually quite busy so I will just say that as soon as a part gets here normalcy will return.

Sorry all, announcements will be made as soon as possible.
