There are those who'll say, "Buchanan knows speechifying." I know James Buchanan. He's no better a speechification specialist than he was a president. ~John "My Friends, Heh, Heh" McCain

Obama's speech last night won my vote.
I had concern about Obama because he appeared too weak -- not willing to fight and get tough when need be -- and, yes, too liberal. But last night's speech put a number of these concerns to rest. He hit McCain -- and hit him hard -- on every point where needed. Obama also did not let anyone forget what Bush has done to this nation, and the American people, as he selfishly used us for his own personal gain.
Finally Obama traded in his kid gloves for boxing gloves. About time. And after McCain's disasterous pick for VP of Alaska's Governor Bunny Boots -- who would be the one to step in as a war time CiC should McCain be elected and have to leave office for health reasons -- well, that was the icing on the cake.
I hope Obama does not make me sorry for my vote. It was a long time coming. I'll give him a chance.
