Very very sad.

I was sure he would fight it out and I said so here. But he felt he was tired and basically, about an hour ago, he said, "I'm tired of you all, fuck you, I'm off, bye".

Always the guy who would do the unexpected.

He was one leader I truly respected.

Now the American effort in Afghanistan might be in trouble.

One of the major coalition partners (Nawaz Sharif) is very anti-American. So that's good. People will expect and demand they cooperate less with the US.

The major reason Mushi first became unpopular was he was seen as being a personal pal of The Chimp.

Now Chimp's Pal is gone. The wheel has turned. Pakistan has now shown that we are a country where the democracy is so strong, we can make a president resign.

Still... I will miss Mushi.

Salute, big guy. You went with honor like the war hero you always were.

Video of Mushi resigning (english language) on BBC front page right now.

4 minutes long.

toss i agree

sux

my prediction is that unless the USA can convince the new government to take a serious role in elimitinating corruption and terrorism

things are only going to get worse.

i heard the conversion rate has already fell to 1 dollar to 75 rupees.

It gained 30 paisa back today amazingly. And just after Mushi announced his resignation, the stock market went up 400 points.

I am really sorry to see him go, but I don't think things will be so bad.

Because however much they might congratulate themselves, Ghaddari and Ganja, they didn't do shit to get rid of Mushi.

Mushi went away because the media was against him.

Fortunately.. and we have Mushi to thank for this... the media in Pakistan is now so free and strong, they can make a President fall.

It was Mushi who gave us all these dozens of 24 hour news channels. It was because of this guy we have universal broadband internet available in the country. I have 2 different broadband connections. I have a cheap car. etc etc. All because of his economic reforms.

But then when he tried to control the media... bad move. LOL

Now these new clowns in the Govt.... I am sure the same media will be equally hard on them too.

Now everyone in Pakistan knows what you are up to. Everyone has a camera and everyone can upload to YouTube.

See my video I just made a few days ago. LOL

Hey boys and Girls, who knows what time it is?

If you said Sharia time, you are right.

If you said Sharia time, you are right.

No, I don't think so.

Nawaz Sharif behaved like a closet islamist once, but these days he wears a suit and tie and a toupee. Maybe all those years forced into exile in London changed him?

Anyway, historically, the PPP (the party in power) has always had a bad relationship with the right-wingers (the people with beards). So nothing doing.

But I am sure, being an American, you would love to see some kind of horrible Saudi-style sharia all over the world, just so you..as an American... can scream with your feces-tossing Chimp, "Yes yes, they are all over the place! We have to go to war against the whole world!".

As mentioned the other day, the fear of the sharia in Paki is more Bush-hype than current danger.

The moderates are coming into control.

The moderates are coming into control.

Posted by Corky

I wouldn't make a statement like that about that corner of the world for all the tea in china, but I hope you are right.

The moderates are coming into control.

The "moderates" were always in control That is why the largest islamist party (Jamat-i-Islami) didn't even run in the elections because they knew how badly they would lose.

I wouldn't make a statement like that about that corner of the world

Then I guess you're just kinda stupid.

Hey, all of us can't be Einsteins ya know!

"The moderates are coming into control."

Now if only moderates can be elected over here. The extreme right wing has held power for too long and extending it with McBush would be disaster.

like i said its not sharia in pakistan

its corruption

ie. aide money lining the pockets of mustached fat guys

Hey, all of us can't be Einsteins ya know!

Sorry, tosser I forgot that Pakistan was the center of intelligence and enlightenment in the region.

its corruption

Posted by klifferd

Yes, this is true, but you see we love corruption in america. We've grown to depend on it. It's been our close friend ever since the 1920's.

But a different religion, now that really scares us.

Whatever that was, it looked delicious!

Sorry, tosser I forgot that Pakistan was the center of intelligence and enlightenment in the region.

Well, that seems to be true since we got rid of a President we didn't want.. all without a fuss (Mushi had 5 years term left). That is something you guys haven't been able to do to your Chimp. LOL

Whatever that was, it looked delicious!

Crispy roasted chicken chopped with veggies with mayonnaise in a roll. The other stuff was seekh-kababs and chicken-tikka (barbecued chicken).

I get much of me nourishment from kabab joints like these. When you got the blues, you have fun eating stuff like this.

Well, that seems to be true since we got rid of a President we didn't want.. all without a fuss (Mushi had 5 years term left).

And here I am thinking Americans were bad about eating shit and calling it sushi.

"Mushi" as you so delicately call him, staged a military coup. I coup against an elected leader because he--with the help of "Mushi's" complete lack of any military skill--was forced to agree to terms with India.

"In an attempt to legitimize his presidency and assure its continuance after the approaching restoration of democracy, he held a referendum on April 30, 2002 to extend his term to five years after the October elections. However, the referendum was boycotted by the majority of Pakistani political groupings, which later complained that the vote was heavily rigged, and voter turnout was 30 percent or below by most estimates. A few weeks later, Musharraf went on TV and apologized to the nation for "irregularities" in the referendum.

In December 2003, Musharraf made a deal with Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal, a six-member coalition of Islamic parties, agreeing to leave the army by December 31, 2004. With that party's support, pro-Musharraf legislators were able to muster the two-thirds supermajority required to pass the Seventeenth Amendment, which retroactively legalized Musharraf's 1999 coup and many of his decrees. In late 2004, Musharraf went back on his agreement with the MMA and pro-Musharraf legislators in the Parliament passed a bill allowing Musharraf to keep both offices."
-wiki

And you think "Mushi" has done you a favor by "resigning" now. I haven't seen undeserved adoration like this since the RNC of 2004.

Oh, but you have some new trinkets, and Youtube, that's nice.

I have 2 different broadband connections.

Why? Does one of 'em suck?

I coup against an elected leader

A coup against an elected leader who was doing something highly illegal and author of the 15th Amendment. (look THAT up will you?)

Stuff your wiki up your arse.

How stupid are you to quote a webpage at me who lives here and saw everything?

Why? Does one of 'em suck?

I like variety. (one came free with the cable tv)

with the help of "Mushi's" complete lack of any military skill

You are aware that Pakistan still holds territory it grabbed from India back then?

LOL

Oh, but you have some new trinkets, and Youtube, that's nice.

You seem to have something personal against the poor fellow.

Are you harami-hindu? An Indian?

You sound like a harami-hindu.

And what is behind this crack about my video on YouTube? I was making a point about the media and the power of citizen journalism. Too bad it went over your head. LOL

I'm going to build a Mushi Shrine... out of cardboard maybe... but it will be respectful.

Do not speak ill of this man. One can't imagine the shit he went through.

Then I will make another video of the shrine/memorial and put it on YouTube hoping you go blind watching it. LOL

The Pakistan media got rid of poor Mushi.

When will America grow the balls to get rid of any future Chimps of theirs?

Because I can guarantee you.. knowing America... there be more Chimps in YOUR future.

Look at the two buffoons in line right now.... specially the older one. LOL

How stupid are you to quote a webpage at me who lives here and saw everything?

1-you don't actually refute anything the page says. Interesting.

2-if you don't like/agree with what wiki says simply provide resources and change the content.

3-there are people living here that still think GWB is a good and noble leader. They "saw everything", too.

You're not much different than those 2004 Bush voters. They got tax breaks; you got "two broadband connections". I'd say Mushi got a good deal on you.

Sorta like the Weckquaesgeek of the Near East, huh?
(look THAT up will you)

And what is behind this crack about my video on YouTube? I was making a point about the media and the power of citizen journalism.

I thought you were "making" a chicken fajita. But the image quality turned me off after about 20 seconds, so if you say so...

Then I will make another video of the shrine/memorial and put it on YouTube hoping you go blind watching it.

Sounds like a blockbuster, can't wait.

there are people living here that still think GWB is a good and noble leader. They "saw everything", too.

I did once say here that I'm a Pakistani "right wing".

A Pak "right wing" loves the military and anyone who served. They do not like to be friends with India. They hate communists, socialists, pinkos and they like collecting guns.

However a Pakistani-rightwinger is more like an American-lefty in how we express ourselves.

Funny that.

But the image quality turned me off after about 20 seconds, so if you say so...

Oooo... I got me a CRITIC....!

I make one fucking video and we get a negative review! LOL

It's an el-cheapo MP4 player. And I was talking to another Pakistani.. Klifferd... when I mentioned it since he's been away from Pakistan. Nobody held a gun to your head and forced you to watch it. ahahahahahaha

2000 Rupee MP4 player is good enough for YouTube. You expect a masterpiece?

Sounds like a blockbuster, can't wait.

Yeah yeah yeah...

you don't actually refute anything

You also didn't refute me saying you are a harami-hindu of some kind from India?

Tell me it ain't so buddy!

..a Pakistani-rightwinger is more like an American-lefty in how we express ourselves.

Um, no. You don't know American lefties. You'd be a right-winger here too, a rather nutty one. American liberals don't regularly build cardboard monuments of dictators or sell meat products from the back of a truck.

And no, I'm not Indian. Born in Bible-Belt USA to British ancestry. My tribe drew all those arbitrary lines in the sand you guys still fight over. We're reall sorry 'bout all that.

American liberals don't regularly build cardboard monuments of dictators

No no... I am only doing that for you.

sell meat products from the back of a truck.

I am really sorry for the pain I cause your choochi eyes, but if you look at the whole thing, that ain't no truck.

Born in Bible-Belt USA to British ancestry.

Ah yes. I thought there was something seriously wrong with you.

Ah yes. I thought there was something seriously wrong with you.

See, therein lies the difference between us. My ancestry and place of birth had little influence in what made me, me. Nor did it instill an inhuman hatred of people and places different from mine.

I think "there is something seriously wrong with you" because you have shite ideas expressed here often; yet I'm SURE not all Pakis are like you.

My ancestry and place of birth had little influence in what made me, me.

No... I'm sure it did.

It shows.

because you have shite ideas expressed here often

Try broadening your horizons and think beyond your "Bible belt", smallville. LOL

I'm SURE not all Pakis are like you.

What do you know, Buckwheat?

(That was a rhetorical question... in case stupido didn't get it first time)

think beyond your "Bible belt", smallville.

LOL. You got me pegged. I live in NoCal, between San Fran and Redwoods Ntl Park. Among the five nearest houses to mine, four languages are spoken. My SO is from South America, and my family is spread through three continents.

But I only have one broadband connection, so you got me there.

I live in NoCal, between San Fran and Redwoods Ntl Park. Among the five nearest houses to mine, four languages are spoken.

Did I ask you about your Mr.Rodger's neighborhood? LOL

my family is spread through three continents.

Mine's spread over five.

We have bigger families, pipsqueak. Get over it.

But I only have one broadband connection, so you got me there.

Get some cable, you'll get another one free.

Hell, do I have to tell you everything Smallville?

Did I ask you about your Mr.Rodger's neighborhood?

No, but you seem to think you know something about me, Mohammad. I was just illustrating how wrong you were, again.

You're right about one thing though, sometimes I do feel pretty small here.

Mohammad

Buckwheat.

I was just illustrating how wrong you were, again.

Upload a video to YouTube, maybe I'll believe ya. LOL

Honestly, 4, 5, houses in your neighborhood speak a few languages and you think you've seen the world?

You're right about one thing though, sometimes I do feel pretty small here.

So yer a guy lost in the woods.

Why am I not surprised?

Tosser, you have a critic as well as a fan. Your commentary on the politics of Pakistan is valuable and interesting. You were riveting during the Red Temple incident. Thanks for providing a voice representing a moderate and intellectual outlook.

Sorry, I meant Red Mosque.

How many billions of US taxpayer dollars has he socked away?

Now all he needs is a refuge. Saudi Arabia should be nice. They have a very close relationship with the Pakis and accepted Idi Amin.

Tosser, you have a critic as well as a fan.

Why, Thank you.

Hear that Mr.Critic?

Now all he needs is a refuge.

He is going to live on his farm outside Islamabad.
