The suit was baseless. That's why, today, his lawyer basically said Yea, we could have filed a suit that would pass legal muster, like we promised we would, but we won't...but we still could, mind you, and we would really, really, really win if we did...really!

The first thing that struck me was Savage is upset about a boycott. God knows the number of right-wing pundits and right-wingers generally I've seen call for boycotts because someone said something they disliked. Dixie Chicks come to mind.

The second thing that struck me was that Savage discovered a "boycott" was "a conspiracy" to prevent him receiving income.

This is why I'll never be a talk show host---The intellectual bar is too high.

I can't find that Savage supported a boycott of the Dixie Chicks. However, he called for them to be jailed after they critiqued George Bush.
