I think this Archdiocese is making a good start. At least they are acknowledging the issue exists and are trying to make sure child abuse does not continue I'm a Catholic and glad to see the Church is no longer trying to hide it under the rug as was done in the past. Actually, the ordained minister is, as it were, an "icon" of Christ the priest during the mass.

Sorry but I must disagree. It should never have been necessary. That breaking the law should have to be made wrong by church edict is crazy. That molesting boys should have to be considered as anything but a violation of the law first and church edicts a far second. Though this isn't said to in any way condone the same molestation of girls. I am not interested in the churches views first when they involve a very serious felony violation of law. The church seems to disagree moving the errant priests around to avoid arrest.

No CC, its not overdue, its not needed. The law has done it for them like it or not.
