Believe it or not the law on the books from every administration is that the employees who are illegals cannot file any suit against the employer.

That law should be changed as well.

Putting the people who hire them in jail will work. And yes, they will self-deport (of course not all of them) if there is no real incentive to stay. One study found that from a high in Aug 2007 to May 2008 there has been an 11% decline in illegals in the US. This is much larger than the number of illegals that the gov has deported. So in fact they are self-deporting.

SAWDUST they may be self-deporting right now because our construction industry is kaput, when things pick up and housing is being built again they will return. If there are American jobs there are illegal immigrants to fill them.

well this is simple. They have always been a critical part of the US economy. 10 million+ people. Not only would removing them cripple the economy but trying to remove them would be ridiculously expensive. They are spend money in the US and many in fact pay taxes. They have a lower crime rate than your average citizen.
