Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

A Delta Air Lines flight to Salt Lake City was evacuated after a flight attendant found "9/11 was an inside job!" stickers on a tray table and the lavatory. The stickers, which included a link to the web site Prison Planet, were allegedly placed by college student Jason Robo.

Not even half the story Jeff...just heard him on KHSU the other day.

I will try and find you the links... I posted this in a a thread somewhere....

here they are...

www.willitsnews.com

www.times-standard.com

Robo tells the story completely different. He says they arrested him in baggage claim. He never ran anywhere or said or did any of the things they accuse him of. When they surrounded him he says, "this has got to be a joke, right?"

They then proceeded to treat him like a terrorist. Of course, they found nothing on him or his bags not even any pot! (which certainly musta disappointed them)

On the radio he sounded like a pretty smart kid. Apparently he was even on the student council once at HSU though he had some troubles with that..

Obviously an activist and not a doper type. And he obviously could have stuck a sticker in the toilet of the aircraft.

They freaked out over a paper sticker. Accused him of interfering with an aircraft in flight. These lunatics are on a hair trigger!

Another good reason not to fly I guess!

Yes, I listened to the interview on the Alex Jones radio show yesterday.
It just shows how the corporate media lies and spins.
That's why i didn't post the part where they said that Robo said that he did it as a joke. What he actually said was that they way they were proceeding with the whole affair was a joke.
He was serious about 911 being an inside job.

It is important to post both sides of the story. I can't find a link to the audio or I would post it. It is important to hear how he speaks. He is no crazy person. He is just an energized student who obviously cares.

Now he has to go to court and "prove" himself. He will probably end up getting charged with defacing a toilet in flight or something and let off with a light fine. But, they had fun hassling him I bet. I wonder if they did a cavity search?

He is now (most likely) on the Terrorist watch list. The FBI showed up at his room and took his computer and cell phone went through his stuff and that means anyone that he contacted is also on the "list".

Welcome to the New World Order comrade!

Yes, he said they did the cavity search, and the guy doing it said to him that he deserves what he gets for his actions.

I wish the masses would wake up. Time is getting short.

As with most stories, there are three sides here, His side, Their side and the truth. The guy is an idiot for putting the stickers out. The airlines were idiots in the way that they over-reacted.

Talk about some bullshit. This is what we're doing to fight terrorism, I guess. Crush all dissent. America, fuck yeah!

BAAAAAAA!!!!

The Right.

At twenty-six years of age one would think that an intelligent man would be aware of the reactions that placing those bumper stickers on the airplane lavatory would provoke. Yes, Robo was engaging in political speech, albeit political speech in the form of a sophomoric stunt. It must also be said that the airline and the police likely over reacted as well, both displaying the same lack of common sense as Robo.

He showed more guts than the Democratic "leadership".

protesting via stickers is against the law!

you can only protest in a way we tell you to protest so we can completely ignore your protests!

Everyone knows this: Dont' fuck around on an airplane.

If the guy were so smart he'd of found an appropriate venue to express his opinion.

I don't think he should be jailed but I don't feel sorry that he was hassled. He got the attention he sought.

"If the guy were so smart he'd of found an appropriate venue to express his opinion"

He did find an appropriate venue and a very good one to - to broadcast "911 Was An Inside Job!" Lots more travellers should be doing just what this real American "Hero" did!

It was exactly because 911 was an inside job by the Bush Regime that we are all forced to go through this humiliating,Nazi Bull-Shit at the airports!

The guy is an idiot for doing it but at the same time its the perfect example of how pathetically fearful our society is. Live in fear sheep, the imaginary wolf is always right around the corner.

Translation: YOU MUST CONFORM!

Posted by Roy_Batty

Exactly. Hitler would be proud of America.

There's gonna have to be a few eggs broken to make this omelet.

It is sad to see how easy it is to get the sheep in line and marching to their doom.

All of that over a couple of stickers? Really?

Gos I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Lotsa power and little to do. NASA and Consumer Reports have demonstrated that these people are not making us any safer even though they have inconvenienced us enormously and wasted billions. This fact pissed off the White House which promptly classified NASA's report as Top Secret. It will only be released in redacted form after the authors are bullied for a year or so.

Same way Monsanto's Bovine Growth Hormone in milk was treated as well. Everyone's children are drinking it, completely unaware, even though it is banned in Canada and Europe. Two Florida Fox Reporters was covering the story. In this case Monsanto leaned on Fox until their reporters were fired after a year of redacting their report under the supervision of a dozen lawyers. After first winning a Jury Judgement for being fired for insisting on reporting the truth a higher "Conservative Court" gave Fox a free pass and threw the Florida truthteller out on the street with nothing. Truth and health are second fiddle to money in the good ol' USA. Every Iraqi knows this even though few Americans have figured it out.

While the country sinks, our Homeland Security Team raises waste and policing to a higher level.

This guy is an ass. They shoud give him a year in county for this.

On the radio he sounded like a pretty smart kid.

I'm sure to you Sloth from "The Goonies" sounded pretty smart.
The best part is you tout his "student council" participation as proof he was smart while ignoring he ran for an office in school but was taken off the ballot because he was on academic probation.

You're a retard.

Anyone who thinks 9/11 was an inside job really needs some professional menal health help.

BTW, can you idiots tell me where Elvis is?

Robo was wearing a T-shirt depicting George W. Bush and Adolph Hitler, which Robo said reads, Orwellian doublespeak.--
Surprised they even let him on the plane.

"BTW, can you idiots tell me where Elvis is?"

He was fine until he left his palace above Machu Pichu to check on the state of his diamond mine under the WTC on 9/11. Since then, nobody---and I mean, nobody---has heard a peep from him.

They should at least make a vandalism charge stick. Some a$$wipe who likes to put stickers on things. Cuz that ghetto look is oh so nice.

I thought Sloth from "The Goonies" sounded pretty smart. Uh-oh.

Elvis? He's in a chest stored in my basement. Yes, I have his bones.

I require some professional mental health help because in my mind the evidence supporting the "inside job" theory has not been sufficiently refuted.

There is only one single piece of evidence anyone needs to know to determine if it was an inside job.

Dick Cheney, for one day, and that one day only, put himself in charge of our air defense system, which happened to be running a simulated attack that day (9-11-01). The pilots were not able to tell a real attack from a simulated one.

Case closed - just like your eyes and ears.

yours = some folks (not scrumplet, who is correct)

So, you libs think that 9/11 was an inside job, eh? Apparently, the 9/11 Commission missed that one.

"Translation: YOU MUST CONFORM!" - ROY

In a word, yes. Society has placed any number of acceptable boundaries given the setting. Airports & airplanes are places I was taught as a kid you don't even joke out loud about hijacking, bombs, etc.

Same for threatening the president, yelling fire in a theatre, etc. Even if you meant it as a joke or a form of protest, those actions must be taken seriously and acted upon by the authorities.

This person is free to express his opinion in a different forum. Free speech is not absolute. There are limits to what you can say/do and where.

Poor little fools

"BTW, can you idiots tell me where Elvis is?"

Elvis was originally buried at Forest Hills, but after an attempted theft of his body his remains were moved to Graceland.

If you're too stupid to figure that out on your own then you probably shouldn't call anyone else an "idiot".

Apparently, the 9/11 Commission missed that one.

Maybe it was withheld by not being able to swear in all the witnesses.
For some reason I always thought it was the Pubs who didn't trust the Government and the Dems who supposedly took them at their word.

Last time I went through Security (last week) at a major airport, the Security guy at the Xray thing you walk through, said "Merry Christmas" to each person who did not set off the alarm. I thought this was stupid and unprofessional, but I didn't call him on it. Had I said "Merry Christmas" to him, first, would I have been suspect?

I am sick and tired of the process and try to fly as rarely as I possibly can.

I hope the cops roughed up this kid, Jason Robocop before they let him go.

A. I doubt it.
B. Don't fly. Air travel is not for pussies.

You are charged with a crime. Now go investigate yourself and come back and tell us what you found out. But you won't have to swear under oath, we don't need that, WE TRUST YOU!!!

So, you have no evidence. Paraniod trolls.. Get a fucking life.

Crap. The truth is out. Boy dunder was a canuck plant to wreck your country. Mission Accomplished!

"He did find an appropriate venue and a very good one to "

Nope. Everyone with half a brain in his head knows that you don't make references to terrorism or bombs or 9/11 or related topics in an airport or on an airplane. If you do, they are going to take it very seriously because they assume that people aren't stupid enough to play around like this anymore.
"Translation: YOU MUST CONFORM!"

People who want to make this about freedom are dishonest. He's free not to fly on commercial planes. If he chooses to do so, he's made an agreement to abide by the rules. Its a voluntary arrangement. Now that is interesting because I LOVED Sloth!

I didn't "ignore" anything. I stated Robo had problems. I didn't want to go into the details because they were complicated but since you brought it up let's go there...The fact is that he was successfully elected to the Student Council (thereby showing his intelligence). But, because of his outspoken stance on 9/11 the University staff (NOT THE STUDENTS) decided they did not want him on the student council and had him removed (had him placed on probation) thereby negating the will of the students.

You are a rethug who as usual tried to oversimplify a very complex situation.

And me? I so am proud to be a Goonie. And in your Rethug eyes I guess I am just a retard. GREAT! This makes me proud!

At least I am not a creepy Rethug like you!

What does the right to bear arms have to do with this? Otherwise, yes I agree with you. It was just the guys way of getting attention, albeit stupid, and now he gets to ramble on radio and the net about it.

nice of you to convict him without benefit of a trial, judge or jury.

but ok lets "convict" him. Let us say it was him and that he stuck a "9/11" sticker in the lavatory.

How did that interfere with the crew in flight?

How did that justify a cavity search or evacuations, and bomb sniffing dogs by the Jack Booted Thugs?

If you were in charge of airline security, what would you have done? Let the plane just take off as normal after a strange passenger left the aircraft before takeoff or would you have acted in the same manner by seriousily checking out what was going on?

Jason Robo an apparent activist and Infowars.com listener has been charged with several counts including interfering with aircraft operation, disorderly conduct and disorderly conduct on a public conveyance after allegedly putting 9/11 Was an Inside Job stickers in the bathroom and on a seat inside the plane he boarded at Logan Airport in Boston. Robo reportedly later told police the stickers were meant to be a joke.

According to reports, Robo left the plane before takeoff after a flight attendant found a sticker in the bathroom and then found another near his seat. Passengers described him as behaving nervously and noted his t-shirt, described as a yellow t-shirt featuring images of George W. Bush and Adolf Hitler.

Witnesses claim Robo stated, I have to get off this plane right now.-- Several other stickers as well as crumpled up sticker-backings were reportedly found afterwards in the area of his seat. The plane was evacuated and delayed three hours while bomb-sniffing dogs and other security combed the plane for any issues.

"What does the right to bear arms have to do with this?"

For whatever reason, I wrote 1st instead of 2nd.

"but ok lets "convict" him. Let us say it was him and that he stuck a "9/11" sticker in the lavatory."

I actually said I don't think he should be convicted earlier in this thread.

"How did that interfere with the crew in flight?"

To some extent they have to investigate any terror related reference made on the plane. So I'm sure they wasted a bit of time with this moron. But I doubt it was enough of hassle to charge anyone over it.

"How did that justify a cavity search or evacuations, and bomb sniffing dogs by (obligatory moronic Nazi reference)?"

I assume it is standard operating procedure to search anyone who makes an overt terror reference on a plane. The kid wanted attention, he got it. Be careful what you wish for.....

"Ok so if that is the World YOU want to live in and have your children grow up in fine. Please move to China.

That is not MY America."

Yeah, the world is screwed up because one little shit couldn't put aside his desire to play "look at me" while on a plane - after agreeing to do so. And now he has to deal with the consequences he so desperately sought.

America isn't yours. Most Americans don't want to be on flights with people who are going to play little terror games with the flight crew.

"But, as Chairpoodle says... I am just a retard so you don't have to listen to me but I will continue to speak out against this type of fascism and tyranny."

You don't know what real fascism or tyranny is. People who live under tyranical rule would laugh in your face if you tried to present this story as an example of tyranny. Two of my grandmother's cousins were shot for opposing Franco. She would laugh in your face if you tried to present this kid's self inflicted ordeal as a real example of "fascism".

It's a fucking sticker, it has nothing to do with bombs on airplanes or hijackings or terrorism. It's a political statement that most 5th graders could grasp, but not this "flight attendant". Since when does "9/11" equal bomb on plane? If the sticker said "Never Forget" I'm sure you'd have no problem with it.

"Since when does "9/11" equal bomb on plane? "

You really don't know the link between 9/11, terrorism and commercial airline flights? Probably shouldn't advertise that one.

"If the sticker said "Never Forget" I'm sure you'd have no problem with it."

The airline personnel are trained to report anything like this. So a sticker that said "9/11 Never Forget" combined with the guy who put the stickers on the plane leaving in a hurry would cause same reaction.

Putting the stickers on the plane and then making a show of leaving was clearly an attention getting move on this kid's part. He got the attention he demanded. There is nothing political about this.

Thus spoke Zarathustra. Pardon me if I remain unimpressed.

It is why I have decided to not fly anymore for a while. It is probably why many Americans don't fly any more. They are not going to submit to this kind of humiliating treatment unless they have too.

Well, I don't have to and I won't.

Personally I wouldn't doubt it if a lot of the Airlines just collapse under the weight of their ineptitude. They are losing it. This whole TSA concept is bullshit anyway..Their job is supposed to be to prevent acts of terror in the air not invent them.

The airlines industry still shares a large responsibility and owes a great debt to America for even allowing 9/11 to ever happen. Hmmm if only they had of secured those damn cockpit doors like the Israelis did before 9/11. They just had to save those few dollars and cents. Well good fucking job I say!

I find it strange that tony roma has lost the will to "fight the good fight" as he referred to it.

ANYONE who is stupid enough to listen to and believe dr jones IS A FUCKIN LUNATIC, and PROVES your complete lack of commonsense.

This repeated dog shit over and over and over is getting boring

"My America is colliding with YOUR America. The one with Big Brother and the Jack Booted thugs killing the mayors dogs by accident."

So now I support killing some dog because I said this kid was looking to cause a stir on a flight, did, and then suffered the consequences?

That is ridiculous. I supposed if I find an article about a child rapist trying to get off for his crimes and said you support the kiddie toucher, that would be fine with you right

Grow up.

you grow up...and get a clue...the water is getting warmer little froggy wake up and realize that all of this is related...soon you will be a cooked froggy and never even know it.

Stupid rethugs.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

"Stupid rethugs."

I've voted for both parties but never for Bush.

Is posting strawmen all you are really capable of? What a waste you are.

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Someone said that once so it must be a universal truth that applies in every situation.....

Try using your own brain once in a while instead of having your beliefs spoonfed to you.

This story has nothing to do with giving up any freedoms, by the way.

really?

I think you better ask Mr Robo about that.

And someday little froggy you will be asking yourself. Why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this? How did it come to this? Well, when it happens to you (or your kids) just think back. These are the essential liberties you are relinquishing to so that you can be "safe".

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

So now a sticker with the words 9/11 are enough to violate your person and effects.

Is that water feeling a bit warm yet little froggy?

I've voted for both parties but never for Bush...

I don't care who you voted for... if you support this type of behavior by TSA and the airlines then you are a Rethug.

Speaking of thinking for yourself... are you even aware of the study from Stanford University regarding the Psychology of Guards vs Prisoners. They call it A Simulation Study of the
Psychology of Imprisonment. We are just setting ourselves up for this type of thing when we give the TSA this type of power over regular citizens. I mentioned the mayors dogs getting killed because that is the kind of abuse this behavior leads to.

www.prisonexp.org

as I mentioned this stuff is all related... there are some serious and scary parallels to what happened in Abu Ghraib also. If our leaders had been paying attention the information that was already out there we could have prevented that tragedy from ever occuring. It just tends to happen in ANY situation where you give artificial power to one group over another.

I don't accept that kind of power as valid or good.

I imagine that if you could think for yourself you would not either.

"So now a sticker with the words 9/11 are enough to violate your person and effects."

This isn't a recent change. "9/11" is a recent reference. Other than that, making references to bombs or terrorism in an airport or on a plane has been a no-no for a long time. Everyone, except you apparently, knows this.

If you want a cop's hand up your ass, just say the word "hijack" at the gate. I can remember joking with my friends about this 16 years ago. As desperate as you are to pretend that this case represents some new loss of rights, it just isn't so.

"These are the essential liberties you are relinquishing to so that you can be "safe"."

I don't consider the right to fuck around with a flight crew to be essential. I prefer people don't fuck with flight crews so that they can do their jobs and get me where I want to go safely. There is a time and a place for everything and a plane is no place for attention seeking behavior. As desperate as you are to pretend that being on a plane is the same as walking down the street, it isn't.

"Is that water feeling a bit warm yet little froggy?"

As desperate as you are to pretend that this reference is clever......

"I don't accept that kind of power as valid or good."

Well, I hate to tell you there, Stupid, but the minute you walk onto a plane you are powerless. Your life is completely in the hands of other people: Pilots, mechanics, air traffic controllers, etc. That is why airline travel horrifies so many people. So while I and 200 other people have our lives in their hands, I'd like them to be able to do their jobs without some little shit distracting them because mommy and daddy didn't pay enough attention.

There is a time and place to cause a stir and common sense says that this is not one of them. You want to paint the world in absolutes where "personal freedom" trumps all other concerns, including the freedom of everyone else on the plane to get where they want to go with as little hassle as necessary. While it may be a romantic notion is some circles, it doesn't work in real life. If it takes a hand up his ass for the kid to learn not to trample on the rights of everyone else on that plane, so be it.

"I imagine that if you could think for yourself you would not either."

This coming from someone who just said "Speaking of thinking for yourself..." and then posted someone else's study and conclusions.

Poor donnerboy tries so hard. It's embarrassing to read his posts knowing that he has no idea what he's talking about, yet talks about it so passionately.

You realize of course that buying a ticket for an airliner, and doing what this loser did, doesn't exactly jive with this, right:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

He was a 26 year old loser acting like an 18 year old's vision of a rebel. If you're dumb enough (and trust me, you are) to believe what this societal failure did was some how romantic (which you do), then you're a lost cause. As if that was up for debate anyway.

Sully you are amazing. So you think that "thinking for yourself" means not considering the vast amount of data that is out there on the subject?

And so thinking for yourself sorta means all that the ideas have to all come out of your own head?

wow how incredibly naive and self centered.

as for the statement- Well, I hate to tell you there, Stupid, but the minute you walk onto a plane you are powerless.

yeah, I hate to tell you RETHUG I believe that is the point. They have made it so we are completely and ridiculously powerless. I can't even groom my fingernails anymore or bring my own water as that would be considered an act of terrorism.

I have no trouble with allowing the pilot (who is a Professional) be in charge while he is in control of the aircraft. I do have a problem with the airlines and TSA thinking I have relinquished any of my rights just because I decided to use their services to get me from point A to point B.

Apparently you have no problem turning yourself over to the Chinese authorities in order to fly.

Well, Like I said.

Have fun with that little froggy! You support tyranny in your way by being a sheep and I will fight it in mine...by refusing to be a part of it.

...then you're a lost cause. As if that was up for debate anyway.

Posted by 101Chairborne at 2008-08-07 02:30 PM

I think we all know who the "lost cause" is here.

Forgot you to ask so how was it again that by placing a sticker in the lavatory this man interfered with the freedoms of anyone else on the flight? TSA and the airlines are the ones who overreacted and interfered with the freedoms of everyone on the plane.

BTW-You RETHUGS really have a thing for sticking things up peoples asses don't you?

" So you think that "thinking for yourself" means not considering the vast amount of data that is out there on the subject?"

You an agree with someone else and still think for yourself. But if you are going to granstand and tell someone else that he can't think for himself and then say Here's me thinking for myself... then post your own fucking idea for Christ's sake.

"Apparently you have no problem turning yourself over to the Chinese authorities in order to fly."

Another strawman. We aren't talking about tweezers or water bottles or China. We're talking about a kid who is making terror references on a plane and who then made a show of leaving the plane before it took off. You aren't capable of responding to what I said so you just make shit up. Pathetic.

Either tell me why you think this kid should be able to intentionally raise a red flag on a flight and disrupt everyone else on the plane or don't. But cut the bullshit already.

"Forgot you to ask so how was it again that by placing a sticker in the lavatory this man interfered with the freedoms of anyone else on the flight? TSA and the airlines are the ones who overreacted and interfered with the freedoms of everyone on the plane."

I told you already, Dishonestboy: The flight crew is REQUIRED to investigate any reference to bombs or hijackings or terrorism they come across in the airport or on the plane. Everyone knows this already.

Being thick and having a point aren't the same thing.

The flight crew is REQUIRED to investigate any reference to bombs or hijackings or terrorism they come across in the airport or on the plane. Everyone knows this already.

so in YOUR simple mind Scully ANY and ALL reference to 9/11 on an airplane is a "code word" for bombing/hijacking/terror attack about to occur on that flight... get out the dogs and the rubber gloves!

Everyone bend over!

While you have your hand up your ass checking for bombs ( I now know you like that sort of thing) why not see if Osama Bin Laden is up there?

Pants pissers run this country. Send your son or daughter to war to die for the pants pissers of America.

"so in YOUR simple mind Scully ANY and ALL reference to 9/11 on an airplane is a "code word" for bombing/hijacking/terror attack about to occur on that flight... get out the dogs and the rubber gloves!"

I'm sure if someone is just talking about 9/11 with a friend it isn't going to cause a stir....

But we don't need to talk about ANY reference to 9/11. We actually know what happened here. Your attempts to obscure reality aside, what the kid did was highly unusual, disrespectful and ill advised. Anyone with a shred of common sense would know better. He wasn't having a polite conversation. He was putting stickers that reference 9/11 on someone else's plane. I know you hate reality, Dishonestboy, but enough is enough. The guy should have known better and he simply didn't care how is actions affected anyone else on the plane.

Next time he wants to mount a protest, he'll do it without defacing anyone else's property or inconveniencing innocent bystanders. Then EVERYONE's rights will be respected. Problem solved. Republic saved. The sky is not falling, Chicken Little.

DON-
My 8/6/08, 1101am post spoke to your concerns. Freedom of speech is not absolute. The content, the context and the location of what we say/do/write all matters.

I think we are all aware of that yelling fire in a crowded theater blah blah blah....

So what I am saying is that we have come to this...that we are panicking over a 9/11 sticker in the toilet of an airplane and cheering this students misfortune of getting his butt reamed over it.

Yes Scully...you happy little froggy... the Republic is now safe for Democracy once again!

Go Rethugs!

DON-
Not sure what to say, DON. There are policies to follow and ANYTHING at airports/airplanes which could perceived as unusual/dangerous will be checked out.

I haven't read all the posts on the thread to determine whether people are "cheering this students misfortune of getting his butt reamed over it."

Two things: cheering may not be the most appropriate description. Perhaps affirmation that quirky activity elicited a just response from the airlines.

Second, "misfortune" presupposes the guy was innocent and doing nothing wrong... when in fact his behavior and placing the sticker there were actions dictating at least getting questioned.

A while back LarryMohr contended Fred Phelps and his group's free speech rights were violated in Phelps' losing that lawsuit stemming from a protest at a Marine's funeral. My point then, and now, is that free speech is not absolute. There are, in fact, reasonable restrictions on content/context/location.

You may disagree with the rules in place, but if you violate those rules don't be surprised if you get pulled aside. That's what happened in this instance.

& don't have Ron Paul stickers on my vehicle, either ~ Why cause myself unnessary trouble in Minneapolis this August?

But do feel "McCain" stickers doesn't necessary mean the driver is as insane as Bush2 (or Bush1 or Bush3 ~ but Kate Bush ok)

Uhh.. I _like_ the idea of everyone sitting down and shutting the hell up in an airplane. There's a time and a place to act out; an airplane is NEVER the right place for making any waves of any kind.

I don't care if he's putting Chiquita banana stickers on the wall; you DON'T FUCK AROUND ON AN AIRPLANE.

And Donnerboy, you seem awful selective about enforcement of "rights". What about the company's right to not have someone put shit all over their plane? Do property rights magically go away because the property is owned by a company? Not to mention the fact that you have to agree to all of the restrictions before you can even get your boarding pass. He surrendered certain rights the second he did so.

Whether you think it's right or not doesn't change the fact that he did things he agreed not to do, and is now crying that he had to pay the penalty for it? He's not a hero of free speech, he's a little whiny bitch. The airline has the right to set rules for people to sit inside their PRIVATE PROPERTY. If someone then agrees to their terms, they have to live by them. Period.

That's the problem with the "slippery slope" crowd. They seem to think that an individual's rights exceed those they actually _have_. Like my idiot friend Ken who used to carry around a card stating what his "rights" were when being pulled over. He found out pretty quickly when the pot was found in his car what his rights ACTUALLY were or were not. And then the cop informed him of a few more rights. He doesn't carry that card around anymore.

Fact is, just because you don't WANT something to be how the law works... doesn't matter. You agree to certain rules to be on the plane. You want it changed? Run for office and get it changed. But don't break the law and pretend you're being a hero when all you're really doing is violating the rights of others.
