Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Barack Obama is putting more money and manpower than John McCain in seven traditionally Republican states: Alaska, Georgia, Indiana, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota and Virginia. "We have the organizational ability and the financial ability to compete there," Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said.

Rightwing idiots can post all the unflattering threads on the DR they can find, but all of them are negated by the simple fact that Americans, even in traditional GOP strongholds, are beginning to lean his way.

See ya in 10 years, douchebags!

I wonder which states motel8 was referring to?

Lets see

Texas? No
Utah? No
Arizona? No
Louisiana? NO
Mississippi? No
South Carolina? No
Kansas? No
Oklahoma? No
Nebraska? No
Tennessee? No
Wyoming? No
Idaho? No
Kentucky? No
Arkansas? No
Georgia? No
North Carolina? No
West Virginia? No
South Dakota? No
Alaska? No
North Dakota? No
Alabama? No

Well that pretty much only leaves states that have been close or went one way or the other in the last 40 years like....

Florida
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Missouri
Nevada
New Mexico
Colorado
Michigan
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Iowa
New Hampshire

That really only leaves Indiana and I am quite sure it will go solidly republican in November.

Obviously, Dirtbag can't read, either. According to the article:

Georgia? YES
North Carolina? YES
South Dakota? YES
Alaska? YES
North Dakota? YES

"That really only leaves Indiana"

Montana? YES
Virginia? YES

Can't read a US map to boot.

You are delusional if you think georgia, montana, alaska, will close in november.

As for VA it will go republican also.

I also expect Michigan and Pennsylvania to be in play for the republicans.

Michigan in play for Republicans? Yes, expect the Arab-American vote to swing that way big-time.

Montana YES
Virginia YES
Alaska NO
Georgia HELL NO

"You are delusional if you think georgia, montana, alaska, will close in november"

Nah...I think they'll stay open. Why would they close?

I also expect Michigan and Pennsylvania to be in play for the republicans.

Dude, are you that out of touch? or do you live in some alternate universe?

When they poll "likely voters" McCain is ahead by four points. Most Obamamamiacs won't vote because they are more concerned withg drugs, alcohol, music and there own genital stimulation.

"Most Obamamamiacs won't vote "

Some idiotic posts defy comment.

This was funny, but I think a lot of them are going to put this off for a day to vote for Obama...

What I think is going to be a major problem is if turnout is very high in urban areas, you are going to see huge lines, voting machines breaking down, etc... a lot of people can't sit in line all day and will have to walk away... If for some strange reason Obama loses, this I think will be a major reason why.

"if turnout is very high in urban areas, you are going to see huge lines, voting machines breaking down, etc"

Yet somehow I never see that happening in the lily-white areas. They always seem to have plenty of voting machines.

I also expect Michigan... to be in play for the republicans.

Posted by dirtbagobama

I'll attest to this. I live in the Detroit suburbs and grew up in in a UAW family. There is a large senior population in SE Michigan that fears Obama. In addition, the only part of the state that is solidly Dem is the SE portion. Everything else is Republican.

Michigan has voted Dem in the past simply because of the influence of the unions and the fact that the majority of the population lives in SE Michigan.

With a VERY unpopular mayor in Detroit, race continues to be a predominant issue here that could affect Obama negatively.

Yet somehow I never see that happening in the lily-white areas. They always seem to have plenty of voting machines.

Hmmm... Go to work, pay taxes, obey the law, improve society... and that gets rewarded?!?!?! fuck that's so unfair.

There are 11 states where the polls are within the MOE. Obama is barely winning in NV, CO, IN, NH, FL, and MI. McCain is barely winning MT, SD, ND, NC, and OH. MI is very close, but the significant point is that McCain is having to fight in 9 states won by W in 2004. That's not a good sign if you're looking for a path to the White House.

Didn't the world famous "Obama Girl" forget to vote?

"Hmmm... Go to work, pay taxes, obey the law, improve society... and that gets rewarded?!?!?!"

Sorry, but according to the Constitution, that's not the barometer.

Not eager to, I just expect it will happen given massive turnout in urban settings where systems aren't as good in rural or more affluent neighborhoods...

Electoral recap (273 needed to win)
Zogby Obama 273 McCain 146
electortal-vote Obama 316 McCain 209
Rassmusen Obama 210 McCain 168
CNN Obama 221 McCain 189

Danforth -

For all Rob's flaws (sorry, Rob - love ya, man!), he has been pretty open-minded about Obama.

Suggesting it's okay to disenfranchise "urban" voters doesn't follow that path.

One of the biggest things keeping me from voting for Obama at the moment has nothing to do with Obama... I just really don't want to be on the same side as his diehard supporters...

I didn't say its Okay... I was saying "it is what it is." You're not going to get the best machines or the most well run voting sites in Urban areas... For starters, less money, but also low turnout over years hasn't created a demand to fix them.

I've never waited more then 2 minutes to vote where I am in South Jersey... because its suburban and pretty well off with outrageously high taxes... People from Camden and Philly and the bad parts are free to move out of the city. If they can afford it that is... teee-heeee...

"I was saying "it is what it is.""

No, you were suggesting they deserved it:

Go to work, pay taxes, obey the law, improve society... and that gets rewarded?!?!?! fuck that's so unfair.

Wrong again dickbag... I was saying we in the more affluent areas did deserve the better equipment and polling places sure, but not that the urban areas deserved the shitty equipment... that just is what it is.

And yet you were on the same side as die hard Bush supporters (until it was obvious to all he was a complete moron - something the rest of us knew long ago)

DANFLUB,

The democrats run every major urban center. If they don't have enough voting machines why don't they buy some more with their graft and corruption money?

Another question, Given that democrats run every major urban center, why are they schools so f#cked up?

And yet you were on the same side as die hard Bush supporters (until it was obvious to all he was a complete moron - something the rest of us knew long ago)

Typically polling for Bush's approval Asks if you "Strongly Approve," "Somewhat Approve," "Somewhat Disapprove," or "Strongly Disapprove."

I'm in the Somewhat Approve column now, but some days I end up in the Somewhat Disapprove column...

Yeah there are plenty of diehard Bush supporters that annoy the living crap out of me... But then again, I'm a Republican, and so is Bush, so its easier to look past the nutbars. To cross the aisle and vote for a Democrat is hard enough... to have to deal with left wing looney ass queers thinking he's the second coming of Jesus Christ makes it that much more difficult.

As Danforth has so tirelessly pointed out, all of those looney ass queers are on the right.

Yet somehow he managed to win again in 2004 and I for one just get a kick when you remind me. Not sure how it is favorable posting that bit of history.

What is Obamas Kerry moment going to be at the convention? Reporting for duty? That worked well.

As Danforth has so tirelessly pointed out, all of those looney ass queers are on the right.

Right... its the Republicans who are fainting at his speeches... LOL... have you even been watching this campaign at all?

Silver honestly, read a Tonyroma or AmericanUnity post about the guy and then seriuosly say its just GOPers calling him that...

Neither TR nor AU use deification language. It's the righties who confuse admiration for consecration, every time.

But if you can link to TR or AU using the words God, Lord, Savior, The Chosen One, or Messiah, you'll have a point. Otherwise, it's just the Rs pointing out their relative dissatisfaction with their own candidate.

Notice no one is claiming the Rs worship McCain. On either side.

what does that matter? What kind of piss poor American are you? Oh, the polls say he's well ahead in New Jersey so I just better not vote. No point in going to the polls and exercising my constiutional rights whether I decide to vote for him or not because Zogby says its Heavy Blue no matter what...

That's the spirit so many have fought and died for!!!

I see Danforth is playing the role of "Lil' Johnny Literal" here now... Okay, no one has actually said he is Jesus or Godlike...

I made that statement because of the way that they post which lead me to believe he is perfect in every way and can do no wrong. The way they list off what will be accomplished in his first 14 minutes in office made me think of cult like behavior to the point where I figured one day we'd see a headline that 35% of drudge retorters had castrated themselves and then drank the kool-aid.

So, the best retort old righty can make is the little 3rd grade whine..

Too funny, coming from semantics boy. If the tables were reversed, you'd be calling everyone a liar.

Still the fact remains: it's always the righties taking that final leap to deification.

So of course we on the right are going to say that to guys like Tony and AU... they have to change their shorts everytime he's on TV and they never get out his whole name...

"Look its O... O... O... O..."

Seriously how old are you? I'm guessing 58-65.

Rob does have a point. I get to vote in an "Urban Area" and when I voted for Badnarik in '04 I walked right in and voted took about 20 seconds. When I went to vote for RP in the primaries the line was out the door I had to wait 15 min to check in (small room out the door is reall not that bad) But then again I voted at 6:30, I imagine they had to stay open late becaue the line was just as long when I left as when I got there.

Of course NC also kicked dibold out so our voting machines are fairly reliable. If I were GOP I would worry about Obama going after NC, he could win here. McCain's edge is so thin you need a razor to see it and If they are only polling folks who voted in 2004 well there were alot of new faces during the primaries, don't count on anyone knowing who our likely voters are.

"So of course we on the right are going to say that"

Thanks for proving my point, yet again.

What about the myriad of problems that haven't been addressed in so long?

I recall we were running surpluses in 2001 when Bush took over, had a plan to pay down the deficit and shore up SS.

Bush screwed the pooch and you want MORE? Wow

you suck

why shouldnt he look at all the states? isnt he running to be president for ALL.......

and he has spent time and money in texas.......where he HAS NO CHANCE AT ALL but look. it makes sense. he was here just last week picking up almost a mill or so and there is also the idea that he will help the undercard on the election in november. thats good politics, but it doesnt mean he is going to be even close here.

Interesting bets. MT, NC and VA have DEM governors, and that's a good thing. GA has a urban center that could come out big for BO. Alaska has a GOP crook running for reelection, and that ought to weaken the GOPs there and help the DEMs. Evan Bayh has not brought In into the Blue column for a long time, but it's worth a try in the land of Dan Quayle. Does ND have a DEM gov.? It's a little like a conservative Minnesota, but guess it's worth a try.

The big risky states, however are OR, FL, NM, MO, WI, MI, NJ and CO. BO has to win nearly all of those to get the EV victory.

MT also has 2 Dem Senators.

I'm from Montana and my folks still live there. Its going to be close, believe me.

rOB ...well unless you believe Clinton's VP invented the internet.

Only right whiners discuss the story of Gore inventing the Internet, he didn't, that's a phony right whiner talking point, However he did invest in the Internet early on, his Internet holdings now exceed $200 Million, a pretty good investment don't yah say! Besides being on the board for Google, he is a major Google stockholder and advisor. So if you don't like Gore, don't Google!

Looking at the state the country is in after 8 years of Republicans and looking at the two candidates it's hard to see how McCain could possibly win. Then you remember 2004.

www.youtube.com

McCain is not going to pick up any state that Kerry won, no way, so Obama starts off with 252 electoral votes. He needs 18 more to win. The states Bush won that Obama leads handily in are:

Ohio 20 votes
Iowa 7 votes
New Mexico 5 votes
Colorado 9 votes

Bush won in Virginia, 13 votes, and Nevada, 5 votes. Obama has a good shot at both of these.

Ohio is enough by itself to put Obama in the White House but there are plenty of ways he can win without it. McCain must win it but even if he does he would probably still lose.

Something really weird will have to happen for McCain to win but the media has three months of ads to sell, 24/7 coverage to churn out and the Republicans have hundreds of millions of dollars to consume so expect all kinds of nonsense about how it's a close race.

It might be quite close as far as electoral votes go, in any other very likely scenario it will be a blowout. What a weird election system we have. Hello, it's not 1789 any more.

Can you smell what the barack is cookin?

www.electoral-vote.com

I'll be delighted if Obama wins Florida but having spent some time there out in the hinterlands I don't see how. I have no clue about Indiana, I just don't think he'll win it. Subtract 38 votes for those two and he still has enough I'm glad to say.

No, you were suggesting they deserved it

Taxes that will drive the country into recession?

sniff sniff...Ah, the smell of a liberal dem taxing there way to socialism.

Taxes that will drive the country into recession?

My taxes will be reduced by 1200.00 under Obama, so what are you talking about, are you a millionaire?

onna,

take that hook out of your mouth. you swallowed the hook, line, AND sinker.

and look at just today,
he changed his stance from this morning to this evening on oil production. I guess he doesnt think we can remember what he says from one speach to another.

How does one get over a 9 trillion dollar debt, mato? (the two biggest contributors being republicans...reagan and bush, of course)

What does anyone do about that, huh?

he changed his stance from this morning to this evening on oil production. I guess he doesnt think we can remember what he says from one speach to another.

Both have flipped on the oil production issue--yet you see only Obama as flipping. How about that?

www.youtube.com

;-)

first he said that we shouldnt use supplies and now he says we should

first he says no drilling and now he says okay maybe a little.

mccain had the honesty to say that he changed his mind when price hit 4 bucks

barry changed his mind when mccain started gaining on him in polls.
I see a large difference.

what obama going after all 57 states now?

"and look at just today,
he changed his stance from this morning to this evening on oil production. I guess he doesnt think we can remember what he says from one speach to another."

That's aperfect description of McCain, why do you always have to bring up McCain's stances and flops, isn't he entitled to change his mind?

I would refuse to vote for someone that refused to change if new evidence appears. Only an intelligent person will "flip-flop", dumb shits never change (i.e. Bush, & BLT2)

Another example of why Obama was wise to tell McSame to go shit in his hat regarding the grandpa routine of sauntering around from Town hall to Town hall together.

Obama has very different areas that he needs to campaign in.

McCain should be doing the same in the areas he needs votes.

Obama doesn't want to be bogged down by Slowpoke Rodriquez. McCain is now doing only one event per day and is no longer giving impromptu talks with his traveling press corp. Much of his schedule is filled with 'downtime'. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Just what we need, another president who thinks becoming the leader of the free world means it's time to kick back and relax. Cuttin brush anyone?

I guess you were writing this when I explained how I see a difference so here it is again

first he said that we shouldnt use reserves and now he says we should

first he says no drilling and now he says okay maybe a little.

mccain had the honesty to say that he changed his mind when price hit 4 bucks

barry changed his mind when mccain started gaining on him in polls.
I see a large difference.

another way

mccain changed showing he can handle a crisis
obama changed because mccain didnt melt after his european christening. and he changed when THE POLLS DID...........a DRASTIC difference

BLT-a little reality for your McSame crush:
WASHINGTON - Solid margins among women, minorities and young voters have powered Barack Obama to a 6 percentage point lead over John McCain in the presidential race, according to a poll released Tuesday.

Obama is ahead of his Republican rival 47 percent to 41 percent, The Associated Press-Ipsos poll showed. The survey was taken after the Democratic senator from Illinois had returned from a trip to Middle Eastern and European capitals, and during a week that saw the two camps clash over which had brought race into a campaign in which Obama is striving to become the first African-American president.

McCain, the senator from Arizona, is leading by 10 points among whites and is even with Obama among men, groups with whom Republicans traditionally do well in national elections.

Sorry repugnicans. This time it's different. The kids you think who'll say they're going to vote - then normally don't, are voting this time. Their brothers and sisters and friends and mothers and dads have DIED in the IRAQ LIE. They are not forgetting who did the murdering. They are angry and motivated.

The only way McCain can win this election is if republicans steal it again, and your own pundits say they can't do that unless Obama and McCain are separated by only a few percentage points. Funny Dat!

The concept of Obama falling in the polls while McCain rises, and NOTHING occuring to cause that, goes to show the Repubs and their MEDIA EMPIRE are on the desperate march to steal-steal-steal again.

If the percentage points are 'only a point away' when the fraud is discovered, they can claim it was so close to call, how could it not be right.

Truth is: 'Likely' Voters are old people over 60 years old who normally make up a large voting block.

But not this time. This time Democrats/Independents/ Disenfranchised Republicans will out weigh the Republican vote by 70%.

Drool over your 'polling' numbers. They ain't going to mean shit in November...when your whole party is trounced and thrown under History's Bus.

But keep following that 'Stray Talk Express'...

...So many empty Republican Seats...So Little Time...

So many empty democrat heads... so little chance of them being filled with anything but excrement....

So many republican sheep, so few butchers.

So many republican sheep, so few butchers.

Since 2004:

n the 26 states and the District of Columbia where registration data were available, the total number of registered Democrats increased by 214,656, while the number of Republicans fell by 1,407,971.
