Well, you got me confused but I've always thought that placing all your Afghanistan bets on Pakistan and Musharraf(aka Pakistani Military Intelligence) in order to get after the Taliban and Osama post-9/11 was going to be tricky. In all fairness though, it's difficult to see what other options the Bush admin had at the time.
