Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

After trailing in May polls by as much as 10 points, Barack Obama has caught John McCain in Florida. A Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday shows Obama up 46% to 44%, within the margin of error.

And no Jeb to fix the election, Florida could be interesting this time.

Yes, but I am sure they'll try to fix the election in another state this time around.

They're running out of states the GOP can rig.

Obama's doing quite well in a lot of the Red States. Adding Barr and Nader to the polling questions put Obama in the lead in several red states.

My question is: Will Governor Crist get married if he doesn't get the VP nomination???

Kennedy still has relatives and Obama has Chicago ties....so the Republicans could fix Illinois via Chicago. Republicans could fis......oh no, wait a minute..........

Yeah, that 50 year old bullshit is getting kinda stale.

McCain is closer to the median age in Florida. If he promises to let them keep their drivers licenses forever, he'll win.

You mean the median age in Florida is 400 years old!? Well, you learn something new every day.

Oh yeah, the old folks in Florida will love his ideas about Social Security.

Ageist Media Destroying John McCain

gawker.com

What do you think?

In the same way that some people complained about the "sexist" media destroying Hillary, many people are now whinning about the "ageist" media destroying McCain.

This kind of thinking is insulting to Obama because it suggest he can't win on his own merrits, that people didn't like the other person running against him.

"Will Governor Crist get married if he doesn't get the VP nomination???

Posted by sitdown"

I don't know. He looks pretty good with a "beard", doncha think?

Hanging Chad has one third of the vote locked up.

All that really matters is whether the Governor and Secretary of State are Republican anyway. Actual votes don't mean shit.

What is bad for McCain is that Obama does not need FL to win the election. Other recent state polls has Mccain only up 4 in ND and 3 in NC and 8 in KY. Again, Obama does not need those states. The fact that Mccain will have to spend money there is not good news. Obama will win this race the Reagan did in 1980

that people didn't like the other person running against him.

Well that is a big part of the equasion.

Fact is, the GOP heiarchy knows McCain can't win and don't want him to. Neither Republican Congressmen, nor the GOP are giving him money. Obama will win, his one-term Presidency will be a disaster marred by the overspending and frivolous fake wars of Bush, and the GOP will be able to retake the White House in four years. Granted, it won't be Obama's fault the country is broke and tied down in the desert, but that really doesn't matter.

Bush, like Nixon, screwed the conservatives chances for this cycle. And Obama, like Carter, will inherate a job no sane person should want.

It must be sad to be a McCain supporter. To vote for and send money to a person who is effectivly a fall guy for the last administrion's incompentacy. What a bunch of dopes! He is the Avram Grant of America. He never stood a chance, that's why the board members picked him.

obamas gonna win he just promised everybody making under 150.000 a 1,000 dollar check, show me the money obama and you have my vote.

show me the money..and you have my vote

Pretty much sums up the problem with America.

Don't get too excited.

Still 3 months to go.

I agree with most of what you say in your 11:41Am posting, R8RH8R, except about "will be a disaster marred by the overspending and frivolous fake wars of Bush." At some point, an elected executive has to take responsibility for what is happening on his watch without pinning it on the previous watch. By your logic, every screw-up by Bush between 2000-2004 was due to some mess Clinton had left, which we know is not true. Of course, Obama is free to make that claim if he is elected, since it is a time-honored ploy -- just like Obama's friend and ghostwriter -- Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick -- still to this day complains that his ineffectiveness and noobiness and inability to accomplish much are the fault of prior Gov Mitt Romney. I do, however, agree that Nixon and, likewise, Bush II eliminated any chance of a GOP victory following ther terms. McCain is likely toast and he can blame Bush II and the price of gas and milk for that.

Gotta admit that Charlie Crist is movie star handsome... probably a real tossup with (also so pretty) Romney for the VP slot.

Proving that even The One is not immune to being shouted down, Obama was interrupted during a speech in Florida by protestors.

Not conservatives. Most are much too polite to interrupt someone when they are speaking. No, the protestors were even farther to the left of Obama - if you can imagine that.

The group is called (I kid you not) The International African Socialist Collective and they calmed down when Obama promised to answer some questions from them during the Q & A. They unfurled a banner which read "What about the Black community, Obama?" Obviously, our lefty friends have not been paying attention. If they had they would have noted that Obama's answer would be "95% of them support me - what more do you want?"

He never stood a chance, that's why the board members picked him.

wow, I didnt know all those dems and independents in the east were on the board. they WERE The ones who got him nominated and now you tell us that they were on the board.................hhhhhhhh
hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

and just read the opening lines on this thread......

you guys get more pathetic everyday.......if thats possible..........
dont ever talk to us about clinton deflections anymore. your bullshit about the 'rigged' elections has overtaken any of that for good now.

Obama and team are functioning at the confidence level that Hillary displayed before February 5.

Most Hollywood stars are keepeing mum this far, but some of them are looking for an exuse, any excuse, to speak against McCain.

Some people will mock McCain: if elected, will he die in office (age issue)?

Again, I'm still sitting on the fence, but Obama is still flitting around like a pretty butterfly sampling all the sweet nectars but not collecting any honey.

As for McCain, his team has to keep hoping that the conservs will, if grudgingly, drag themselves to the voting booth come judgment day.

Whoever wins, he will be a two-term President.

God bless America!

Let's call Moses

John McCain KNEW Moses personally

Did you get all wiggly and pee just a little when you posted your link on every single thread, Murphy?

More "Messiah" bullshit from the GOP

Is that the best they can do?

Let's hear McCain's plans. Oh, ya. He doesn't really HAVE any. He even contradicts his own ambiguous 'plans' on his website in person.

The GOP said they'd do this and that every election and then proceeded to do the opposite.

In 2000 it was Bush and "no nation buildina', "I will never send troops into harms way without a clear exit strategy".

McCain has said one thing and then reversed himself too many timse to be trusted. He's just clearly a wishy washy guy with the only goal of sitting in the Oval Office for his own self glorification. He's too old to care what kind of world he leaves behind for the reat of us

SanAn

It's ALL the GOP has. "Tear down" politics.

They're clearly shown us since 1994 that they don't do what they say they're going to do.

America doesn't trust them by a large margin. And for good reason.

"More "Messiah" bullshit from the GOP"

Keep it up! 200,000 donations to the Obama campaign in the last week, 100,000 just yesterday, including 34,000 new first time donors.

No wonder McCain got the "Dick Move of the Week" award. He's nearly a lock to get it again next week.

John McCain KNEW Moses personally

Har Har Har. Dude, I agree the guy is old but postings like yours about his age remind me of the humor I remember seeing on the old Carol Burnett Show. Lame and predictable. Please get some new lines if you're going to rag on him. Put some thought into it, man!

(And please NOTE: "Yeah, well, the righties keep saying the same things about Obama over and over, so we can say the same things about McSame" is not an acceptable response. It further calls attention to the lack of originality.)

SEAN

If Murphy wants to post GOP web ads featuring Moses, then it's fair I should point out they were best buddies LOL

obamaniggah... oh my the messiah having a hard time? Fucker cant talk without a teleprompter, cant talk because he cant think ...silver spooned watermelon fed elitist... he is a fuckin puppet, a stooge, an empty suit.

I realize it's hard to see the keyboard with your Klan hood in the way but I'd like to ask you to explain your allegations one by one if I may:

1. "Fucker cant talk without a teleprompter"

Any evidence to can lend to support your argument would be appreciated. Also, are you saying that Bush was a good speaker? Are you implying that McCain is a good speaker too?

2. "cant talk because he cant think"

This is strange indeed. It's not usually like a Harvard Law graduate and President of the Harvard Review to be unable to think.

3. "silver spooned watermelon fed elitist"

Silver spoon? Compared to Bush or McCain? Are you serious? Any proof you can show me that shows Obama grew up in a much more privileged life than Bush or McCain? I don't think it was Obama who got a new corvette from his daddy for graduating school.

As for the Watermelon line, like I said, the Klan hood gets in your way sometimes. I googled 'Bush eating Watermelon', 'Obama eating Watermelon' and 'McCain eating Watermelon' in Google images and I couldn't find an image of ANY of them enjoying a tasty slice of watermelon.

Elitist? What exactly is an elitist in your simple-minded view of the world? Is it like when Karl Rove calls a political opponent an 'Elitist' all while his candidate is at the families Oceanfront Estate in Maine meeting with the worlds billionaires?

Like I said, I'll give you the chance to respond but I doubt you'll have anything but the usual talking points. Try thinking for yourself. Your last rant sounded like you got it off the Skinhead/White Poser website (yes, that's spelled right).

Well, it IS Friday night. You don't want him 'dateless' do you? Ha ha

AmericanDisunity,

Since McCain is the same age as my oldest sister, I guess she also knew Moses.
I'll have to ask her about him next time I see her.

I can assume that all of the people in your family that are 70 or 71 are senile since you have such a negative view of older people.

Do you kick their canes when you pass them in the street too?

By the way, did Winston Churchill also know Moses? After all he was Prime Minister of England until he was 81 years old and considered by many people one of the top statesmen in history.

Or perhaps Benjamin Franklin, who was one year younger than McCain when he signed the Declaration of Independence and ten years OLDER than McCain when he made his speech urging the passage of the U.S. Constitution?

President William Howard Taft, who left office at the age of 73?
Or perhaps Albert Einstein, who was offered the Presidency of Israel after its first President died? He was older the McCain when offered the Presidency.

While I don't pretend to say that McCain is in the same league with some of these men, the point is that 71 isn't old, except to teens who think everyone older than 20 have one foot in the grave.

THESHyGUY

Start off with "AmericanDisunity" and I say 'fuck you' before I read the next word.

(which is exactly what I did)

BTW SHYGUY

I don't have anything against 72 year old people.

I jist think they're too old to be President.

It makes old men out of young men.

sorry but that dont fly..most of the founding fathers were pretty aged..

"sorry but that dont fly..most of the founding fathers were pretty aged.."

At the time of the Revolution the Founding Fathers were ...

John Adams - 41
Thomas Jefferson - 33
Samuel Adams - 54
George Washington - 44
John Hancock - 39
Patrick Henry - 40
Alexander Hamilton - 21

Of the ones who became President, Adams was the oldest at 60, Washington and Jefferson were both 57.

Actually fairly young men, except that old coot Ben Franklin.

Yeah, but they look old on the money.

That's what you meant, right, Legio?

Liberals still can't get over the facts that Bush beat Gore and Kerrey fair and square and is now sitting on the Congress in his last days in office.

So let me understand this AmericanDisunity,
You want to FUCK ME?
Sorry but I go for girls.
You will have to find guys who prefer to be fucked by guys? like you...

I don't ride the Hershey Highway so you will have to hitch a ride with someone who does...
