Fun times in Beijing!

But hey, since the press rolled over for the last 8 years, the chinese governemnt should be easy for them to tolerate.

I heard many of the hotels designated for the Olympics now have a lot of empty rooms and nowhere near the number of reservations they thought they'd have.

No one wants to go over to China -- at least not without an oxygen mask to be able to breathe in the Bejing air.

I wouldn't go there without a gas mask, 4 layers of condoms, 2 deep sea diving suits, and a can of lysol, while riding on top of 2 armored tank divisions.

But, I'm proactive when it comes to safety.

I'd love to see Tibet and the Great Wall, but seriously, the only thing that would make want to go to china would be business. And as of today, I'm not in the line of business that would make that trip a possibility.

This is going to be a strange Olympics. One for the history books. Anybody remember if there were this many sociopolitical issues during the Soviet Olympics?

No one wants to go to china because there's no appeal to going to a country that restricts everything you can do elsewhere are a tourist...
