He completely reversed himself on "Time Horizons", "Talking to Iran", et al - making McCain the odd man out and looking like a fool.

It's about time Bush (and McCain) took the advice of the Iraq Study Group, which suggested we do both of those

The Republican Party purposely chose John McCain as their 2008 candidate because they really want their very well groomed "Ringer" Barack Obama to win the presidency! The Republicians (who couldn't possibly win the White House after the political apocalypse of the Bush Regime) really want Obama to have a landslide victory to "con" the American public into fully believing that a new,just and revolutionary government has taken power in Washington! Nothing could be further from the truth!

As far as the price of oil goes the USA gets more of its oil from Canada than from Saudi Arabia,but Canada,which is not a member of OPEC,is still charging the same high "gouging" price for its oil that Saudi is charging!
In the so-called Canadian democracy,private citizens can't own mineral rights on any lands in Canada.Minerals are termed Natural Resources and are judged to be the collective property of all Canadians - but still Canadians are being gouged just as brutally for oil produced in Canada as for oil produced in Saudi Arabia! Why? The answer is simple:Corporate America (EXXON,Mobil etc) completely controls the pricing and distribution of Canadian oil!
