Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The House Judiciary Committee put on a hearing Friday about high crimes and misdemeanors committed by President Bush. "To the regret of many, this is not an impeachment hearing," said committee chairman John Conyers, D-Mich.

Who's going to investigate Conyers and the clowns in Congress?

What pathetic losers. They people are suffering under the high cost of gas and food and these pathetic people are waisting time and resources on this.

They should all be voted out. Let's start with a clean slate next year.

Pointless hearings meant only to feed the rabid crackpot Left.

I guess all the Post Offices have finally been named

"The tone of these deliberations is slightly demented," Rabkin said. "You should all remind yourselves that the rest of the country is not necessarily in this same bubble in which people think it is reasonable to describe the president as if he were Caligula."

As opposed to that very fruitful witch hunt into Bubba's hummer?
Yeah, dragging the country into an emotionally and financially devastating war on false pretenses and overseeing fraud on an unimaginable scale? Why look into that?

Hmmm. I checked this thread only to see how long the hearing was. Hard to believe they could really have "covered" Bush's misdeeds.

after hearing this joke I need some mushrooms take me to the other side. getting near time for pitchforks and nra members running amok.

Why look into that?

For one thing, just think of all of the late night jokes that could be told about the Bush Administration and its liability under the law. One long line of indictments initiated by Attorney General John Edwards and it would "Hey, did you hear about Donald Rumsfeld getting his neck measured for a new tie. Yeah, he was down at Ace Hardware looking for rope and decided to check his size."

Obama can coast through the first four years looking good because Bush was so bad. Just put people back to work. Feed the kids, and round up the bad guys. One speculator already in the bag for some small time stuff.

One reason the oil market is up by so much is phantom trading. There's three times (3X for math majors) the number of barrels on paper being traded than there are barrels of oil being produced.

The same thing has happened in corporate stocks. You can pump the stock or depress it by trading shares you don't own and won't have to pay for because you pump and then dump.

This is why the RNC has lots of money. There's enough reformers in the Democratic party who may be willing to let the dogs out if they control Congress and the Presidency. That whole cabal of moneychangers will have thin coverage if Obama is president. The fact is we need oversight on these markets and a new war on economic terrorists.

This is not an impeachment hearing.... it is a hearing in futility. hehehehe.... a hearing in an attempt to embarass Bush, but getting the boomerang --- or the butt.

This is a clever move by the Dems. Keep the spectacular failures of the GOP fresh in everyone's mind right up to November. With the added bonus off pissing off all the right wing knuckle draggers on this site.

It has the potential to force a few questions on to McCain that won't reflect well. You think 8 seconds is a long time when he's asked about Viagra? Wait till he gets the full bull ride for 8.

The witnesses were compelling.

Conyers was not in top form.

Truth is being revealed, for those who want to listen.

Golly, it didn't take long for some assclown to come out with the reliable old "Our bag of shit wasn't as bad as the other bag of shit."

Hellofajob there, Morris. Congrats!

Clinton was a lesser filth, so therefore ..... investigations into him were just a witch hunt.

He who is without criminal guilt in the US Govt, cast the first summons!

Hey theres mountains of "Truth" and also of "Evidence" against the Bush Regime but the Catch-22 is that theres absolutely nobody in the US Govt who is in a position to indict let alone prosecute Bush,Cheney and associates.

The American judical system is neither democratic nor independent as witnessed by how completely hamstrung it is by the White House and by both the Congress and the Senate. No wonder because both the Republican and Democratic parties are just as guilty as the Bush Regime for willingly abetting them every bloody step of the way! Any Bush Regime investigation in Washington is merely very, low grade theatre that the corporate owned politicians put on for themselves,in a pathetic attempt to sanctimonously disguise and cover up their own guilt.

In regards to the Corporate Rule in America the phrase "We the People" should be rewritten to the more truthful "We the totally Fucked"!

Way too little, way too late scumbags. Now Congress is going after bush because he can't offer them anymore bribes. Totally f#cking meaningless grandstanding.

C#cksuckers..

This is the result you get when citizens are either apathetic, lazy, willfully ignorant or all of the above.

Cheez, I would think that all the tightie righties frothing at the mouth over this would be belaboring Demmycats. After all, it SHOULD be an impeachment hearing. Dems neglect their mandate of 2006 by not making it so. Bush's crimes could fill a year ... herm

I came across this while taking a lap on the tv yesterday and the whole time I was thinking about the enerygy problem and the immigration problem, social security being in trouble, and a whole lot of other issues that might actually mean something..........and here they were talking this nonsense.....and does anyone wonder why thier rating is so low.

Careful BLT, Herm thinks you're frothing

"Hey theres mountains of "Truth" and also of "Evidence" against the Bush Regime but the Catch-22 is that theres absolutely nobody in the US Govt who is in a position to indict let alone prosecute Bush,Cheney and associates."

That is abso-fuckin'-lutely not true.

The House has the power to pursue impeachment. The Senate has the power to try, and to remove from office.

These are both established procedures, well-provided for in our Federal law. They just haven't been properly pursued because of cronyism, which exists across party lines (Pelosi is a personal friend of Bush's, in case you weren't able to guess).

These hearings were a small start, and may go no place. But our laws do provide a way to remove malfeasant Prezzes and Veeps from office, trust me.
