That is kinda wierd. Most Vette drivers are in their mid-40s, divorced and have a well-paid but pointless job.

When I was in college (business degree) I did a demographic study on Corvette owners, and many of them peaked in high school -- football stars, married and divorced the cheerleader, etc.

After that all they did was compensate

Let's consider these two cases;

Laura Bush, a barely 17 year old who had drived for about one year missed a stop sign and hit and killed another high school student. No drinking found to be involved.

Ted Kennedy, about 40 something year old US Senator drunk as a skunk leaves a woman to drown and walks away.

Doesn't seem like exactly the same from a negligence standpoint.

It's really mindless to compare one person's misdeeds to others. If Robert Novak hit a pedestrian and drove off, that's hit and run. Let's prosecute the case in front of us, instead of dredging up past misdeeds of either party that occurred under wildly different circumstances. That's just plain lazy.
