From Reuters:

"Gramm, a former Texas senator, said in a statement issued by the McCain campaign that Democratic attacks on him had become a distraction to Arizona Sen. McCain, who will face Democrat Barack Obama in the November 4 election."

Damn those Democrats! I said something really dumb and they called me on it...

... Oh yeah, and I lobbied for a foreign bank that was one of the worst offenders in the sub-prime lending crisis, pushed for banking deregulation as a Senator, and created the Enron Loophole. Almost forgot about those. Sorry. Not.

Isn't Gramm the guy McCain called the most knowledgeable man in the country on economic issues? LOL. Talk about major flip-flop!

Just the fact McCain picked the crook Phil Graham at all as his campaign's financial advisor tells you all you need to know about McCain. Lou Dobbs was ripping Graham apart today on his show. Seems Graham's wife was on the Board of Enron and her hubby was in charge of very failed S&L in Texas. Graham wants unlimited (and more unfair) free trade policies a la Bush style and we all know where that has taken this country.

Yes, Phil Graham, who after he and his wife robbing Americans blind with their finance schemes has the never to call us a "nation of whiners." Right, Phil, we're suppose to just keep quiet as you continue your agenda to continue to scheme and embezzle our financial institutions.

Mr. Gramm, your bus is here...

Word on the street has it that Foreclosure Phil is going back to making porn movies.

As The Nation pointed out, before Gramm joined the Christian Coalition's Ralph Reed to call for defunding the NEA, he was an active investor in soft-core porn movies.

In 1973, Gramm cut a check for $15,000 to invest in a budget soft-core production called Truck Stop Women. Because the film was oversold, his money was returned to him. Later, Gramm contributed at least $7,500 toward a film called White House Madness, a satire of the Nixon White House that featured a crazed president wandering around the White House in the nude.

Gramm lost his investment after the film flopped at the box office.

Clearly, like George W. Bush, Gramm was a failure in the private sector. Like Bush, Gramm then turned to the government as a career. As The Nation pointed out, Gramm went on to become "one of the most reactionary, venal, and destructive political figures in recent times."

Today, Gramm serves as economic adviser to John McCain and spends his time smugly belittling Americans, calling us a "nation of whiners."

So the fact he is leaving means what??? McBush is still a believer in his economic ideas which are basicly just "fuck you America." The only way the McCain campaign can distance itself from him and his ideas enough is for McCain to leave the campaign too.

Personally I think it is a shame as so many in this nations are whiners. [Whine for the government to fix 'our' lives]

I expect gramm needs the time to prepare his defense.
