Ya, sure. And the principals, Cheney and Bush, refused to testify under oath, let it be recorded, or even allow pencils in the room. Their testimony is sealed, so the American people will never know what they said. They could have said anything that they came up with so far as their actions and no one would know any better. If they got caught lying there would be no consequences.

On 9/11 the American people deserved to hear everything. Do Bush and Cheney work for us or the other way around?

Guess they had time to get their stories straight, and got to testify together rather than as any other investigation would have been conducted.

Cops don't put two criminals in the same interrogation room. They interview them separately and then compare stories.

The whole process as far as the WH went stunk for us taxpayers and citizens.

I certainly don't dispute that. I just wish there hadn't been so much secrecy by our Prez and VP. They do work for US after all. We deserved the truth about their actions. That's what we're supposed to do in America. Not allow our elected leaders to testify with no consequences if they lied. How do you know they did or didn't? It's not even written down anywhere.

9/11 was a fuckup of massive proportions.

Plunged our country into a pretty sad chapter.

Wow. How you got any reference to WW2 (I wasn't born until way after that was over), Vietnam (I was a kid), or whatever you mentioned is a mystery.

People testified under oath. Period. There wasn't any skating on that. You raised your hand and swore to tell the truth whether you were a two bit criminal or Chief White House Counsel. Presidents and Vice Presidents didn't set conditions prior to their testimony - especially since it wasn't a criminal investigation, but testimony surrounding a national tragedy to the 9/11 Commission.

They started out fighting even the formation of the 9/11 Commission. They were the only two who didn't testify under oath secret testimony or not.

That's what isn't American to me. Not over a Pearl Harbor level national tragedy.
