When it comes to voting, I am pragmatic. I vote for a viable candidate who most closely represents my views when compared with viable competitors.
The fact that I voted for Bush twice does not mean that I support all of his actions. In fact, I think he's turned out to be a pretty lousy president.
Where you make your crucial mistake is that you believe that my vote for Bush was reflexive, simply because he has an (R) after his name. Well, reconcile that bit of specious reasoning that I've always voted for Carl Levin (D), despite his party affiliation.
