Yes, we should do everything we can to avoid anything that may encourage education and discussion on the ugliest parts of human history because everyone knows that if you remember your history you are doomed to repeat it.

There are plenty of text books, movies, and slide shows. There is no need to have a wax figure which is usually used to glorify and to immortalize the person or event.

I'm not real sure what to do with this. I find it hard to believe that someone finds a wax sculpture to somehow be a glorification of its subject...

I often hear how we should NEVER see Hitler as a human being but instead as some inhuman monster. Well, a monster he may have been but he was still human. If we don't acknowledge that fact, we as a civilization run the risk of believing that no human being could ever again do the same types of things he did when any thinking human knows that that is delusional. What's also delusional is pinning all of the crimes committed by Nazis on him when, in fact, he was the ringleader of German nationalistic bloodlust. You can't have such a horrible regime without multitudes of people doing the dirty work, which includes an apathetic, vengeful or cowardly portion of the citizenry, a portion who turns its collective blind eye to atrocities exacted against its fellow citizens who happen to be Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, intellectuals, those who "are not like us."

We need to devote an equal amount of time to studying the roots of what caused and helped Nazism rise to power as we do to honoring the memories of those who perished so horribly during the Holocaust.
