An independent market-research firm, AIMRCo (Adult Internet Market Research Company), has discovered that many websites focused on adult or erotic material have experienced an upswing in sales in the recent weeks since checks have appeared in millions of Americans' mailboxes across the country.

Not a claim to fame I'm particularly proud of, but I live in one of the cities in SoCal which make up
the San Fernando Valley where 90% of the legal porn movies are shot and bring in $4 billion a year. The SFV is also known as the "porn capital of the world."

Movie making permits are handed out like candy by local city officials around here to any and all movie producers and many are permits to shoot porn movies. You often read of some city council meeting attended by local neighbors arguing against allowing porn movie makers to shoot films on their particular block. Usually it's because some barely dressed porn starlets are seen going in and out of a home on their street at all hours of the day and night and the neighbors get mad -- especially if there are kids around at the time.
