SO folks are still avoiding reading Overbite's 11 minute diatribe transcript about the FISA bill and how Obama is going to vote for it or not.

Should Obama vote for it or not and what if any might be the fall out of voting for it or not??

It will piss a lot of us off but there will be little or no long-term effect.

Has McCain announced his intentions on the bill, or has Lieberman not explained it to him yet?

But you know the RNC is going to crush him on this FISA deal if he votes against it.

In all seriousness, for the most part I don't see these as "flip-flops". There is a big difference between winning a party nomination and winning the Presidency. Obama understands he is now talking to a much wider audience with a wider range of interests and priorities.

I think we've all gotten very cynical about politics over the years. But are we so far gone that we can't even entertain the possibility that he might actually be trying to bridge some of the differences that have divided and damaged the country?

I mean, sure it would be nice if he reflected every single position I have 100%. But let's make some room for reality, and think about what it might be like to have a President of all the people ( or at least a bigger percentage).
