Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, whose nation is the world's number one oil exporter, called on consumer countries to get used to high prices in comments published on Tuesday. "Consumer countries have to adapt to the prices and the mechanisms of the market," the king said in an interview published by the Kuwaiti daily Al-Siyassah.

Figures butch would be uptight about this ---- being a permanent resident of Bush World and all!

Saudi Arabia, the Country that born, nurtured, educated and financed the 9-11 hijackers who is given intimate walks and kisss with our president in fields of Blue Bonnets after killing three thousand people doesnt invoke any reaction from Bush World residents ---- but OH MY does the slobber flow over dumb ass shit like this!

And am I to understand that you consider anyone who Hunts and has a Desire to pass along that American Tradition to future Generations Pricks--?

YEAH!

Beats "save the SUV and kill the children"!

Maybe McSame can do a better dancing monkey routine than Incurious George provided. He may have trouble waving the sword, but I'm sure the saudis would be willing to attcak another city or two for his electoral benefit, right Mr. Black?

adaptation is very expensive, especially when they pull the plug on prices, which they've done before. more alternative energy projects then go down the tube, waste, waste, waste

I'm already used to the high gas prices. I have enough disposable income that it allows me to continue consuming at will. For all you democrat supporters, I hope you have fun riding the buses.

Hey Nanc, though I agree with the "turnabout is fair play" concept on the wheat, corn, etc....you are woefully gullible when it comes to that "diamond encrusted mercedes".

It's all fake gems, and a concept promotional car, nothing to do with a saudi prince. And that many diamonds would cost far more than 4.8 mil. (do a little research, start with Snopes)

But, at least we now know not to put stock in your rants on here. You're proven to be uninformed and gullible.

Get used to taking it up the ass so that I can continue to support terrorists.

Sincerely,

Saudi Arabia

You don't have to be afraid. I know it's a little embarassing the first time you get on a bus and you don't know how it works but nobody will laugh at you.
In the meantime, thanks for supporting the guys who attacked us on 9-11.

If I were an envoy from Washington to Saudi Arabia I would tell The King this: "The King should be very aware of how precarious his position is in the face of rising oil ptices".

Would you stroke his hand a little while you were holding it and strolling through his sumptuous palace gardens?

Fwthom,
And therein lies the problem. We don't seem to be "telling" them anything, except maybe "Sorry for bothering you about lowering those oil prices...won't happen again".

RC, first of all, for your information, when my wife and I were just married, we had very little money and couldn't afford to buy a second car. Thus, I had to ride the city bus to and from work for a number of months.

Second of all, you're welcome. But, you really should be thanking the Democrats. Thanks to the Dems and their opposition to drilling, we must rely more heavily on imports to make up the difference. I'll bet you didn't know that the Saudis are not our biggest supplier.

LOL thats cause we can't our military is too busy farming poppies and catching flowers and chocolates to deal with a guy who's major claim to fame is that he rules the worlds largest sandbox.

"being a permanent resident of Bush World and all!"

Don't you mean "Bush Cult?"

you're slipping

People. People. Spend that trillion you pissed away makking GW feel good about himself and come up with an alternative source. How's that? A hundred years ago nobody gave a fuck about Saudi Arabia, and a hundred years from now they'll be eating sand.

Gee, the unappreciateve Saudi King, it almost makes me wish we hadn't rescued Kuwait and taken out Saudi's number one enemy for them. A little Hussein breathing down their necks made them more friendly to the good old US of A but now they don't care about us. Thanks both Georges.

My, but you are a gullible little droid aren't you about Drilling for more Oil in sensitive areas to Cure our Addiction huh?

Drilling for oil beneath the pristine tundra of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge would do little to ease world oil prices, the federal government's energy forecasters said in a new report issued in a week that saw oil surpass $130 per barrel for the first time.

Like Arnold Schwarzeneggor???? He a Dem...who knew???

And it seems like just yesterday I was reading all the posts wanting to change the constitution so he could run for president.
Is Jeb a Democrat??? You know Dumbya's bro??

The Republicans have been trying to open up those oil fields for their Oil friends for a long time now.

This is just another attempt to use the current situation to pad the pockets of the oil industry.

It sure is nice to know that the majority of Americans refuse to fall for the Republcians' stunts.

Progress baby! Progress!

Fox Business Network ,Liz Klayman "Tell me your perspective on this plan and why you're supportive of it at a time when Congress is having trouble passing the housing bill, because we have the energy credits attached to it and some senators don't want that."

REID: We talk about "cost competitiveness," but the one thing we failed to talk about is those costs that you don't see on the bottom line. That is, coal makes us sick. Oil makes us sick. This global warming, it's ruining our country. It's ruining our world. You've got to stop using fossil fuel. We have, for generations, taken it out of the earth, carbon out of the earth and put it in the atmosphere, and it's making us all sick, and it's changing our world.

And this...
people-press.org

The public's changing energy priorities are most evident in the growing percentage that views increased energy exploration - including mining and drilling, as well as the construction of new power plants - as a more important priority for energy policy than increased conservation and regulation. Nearly half (47%) now rates energy exploration as the more important priority, up from 35% in February. The proportion saying it is more important to increase energy conservation and regulation has declined by 10 points (from 55% to 45%).

Ask the people in the states that have beaches and it isn't even close Kerrin.

We aren't going to be drilling anymore. As the King suggests:

Get Used To It.

Posted by Republican4ever

Actually, I do know that Canada and Mexico supply more oil to the US than Saudi Arabia. I also know that we could eliminate Saudi Arabia as a supplier with simple conservation practices that conservatives have been resisting for years. Due to their short attention spans, they now blame others for their over consumption; much like other addicts.

95% of drug addicts favor increasing drug production over decreasing consumption through conservation.

sounds fair to me!

Nanc: when you tuck yourself in tonight just be thankful you voted for the last two Republican Presidents, who both fabricated reasons and borrowed money to send Americans to die for the saudi and Kuwaiti royals.

WASHINGTON, DC - May 29 - More than 44 million acres of public lands are leased for oil and gas development, according to a new Wilderness Society analysis of Interior Department data. The analysis points to an explosion of drilling on federal lands, with 7,124 drilling permits (APDs) issued in 2007, a new record for the Bush Administration. Nationwide, the leasing is outstripping the oil and gas industrys capacity to drill, as industry is drilling on only a quarter of the leases they hold.

Interesting article Whatsleft!

"Nationwide, the leasing is outstripping the oil and gas industrys capacity to drill, as industry is drilling on only a quarter of the leases they hold."

Why are you attacking John McCain's military record????

He's right. He's also rich. Very, very rich!

Saudi Arabia increased it's output by 200,000 barrels a day, right? That means about $28,800,000 more petrodollars a day into Saudi coffers. You can pay for a lot with that kind of money. (Ok, maybe only a F-22 jet or two per day, but if you're into more carnal pleasures, you could do a lot with the dough. And in an year, it's $1,051,000,000 additional petrobux for the House of Saud.)

My SWAG (super-wild guess) is that Saudis will take in something like $5 trillion a year in petro profits over the next 12 months. Hey, if it makes them love the West any more than they do now, it's a good investment. (Eh, bubba?)

I'm wondering if Bandar is still part of the Bush family.

Ok, I pushed a decimal point one place too far. make my projection $500 billion, not $5 trillion. What's a decimal point ot two between friends, anyway. If my friends on the Retort can't give a tiny decimal point one way or the other, than they can't take a joke.

Oh, and I just found a relatively recent article on Saudi oil revenues. Before oil jumped $25 / barrel, and before Saudi upped production by 20%, they were looking to take in $290 billion in 2008. I think that the $500 billion from 7/1/08 through 6/30/09 is looking like a pretty close swag (if you can forgive the decimal point error that I just apologized for).

See www.ameinfo.com

THE 2000 CAMPAIGN: THE TEXAS GOVERNOR; Bush Would Use Power of Persuasion to Raise Oil Supply

Published: June 28, 2000

''I would work with our friends in OPEC to convince them to open up the spigot, to increase the supply,'' Mr. Bush, the presumptive Republican candidate for president, told reporters here today. ''Use the capital that my administration will earn, with the Kuwaitis or the Saudis, and convince them to open up the spigot.''

the King must have an unlisted number

this may be right but it could be helping us now, thank you blowjob billy.

but look......I heard an older fellow on the radio the other day that made a lot of sense.
as he put it...DRILL DRILL DRILL DRILL AND DRILL SOME MORE....
and it doesnt matter how long it will be before it hits our gas pumps but it would put all of the dictators that run the gas filled countries...( and there are very few gas countries without DICTATORS IN CHARGE)..... it would put them on notice that they have screwed the pooch and in some time in the future we will use our own energy because while we are drilling, we will be POURING Money into alternative sources with the same energy and vigor that we went into the manhatten project and what got us to the moon before the end of the decade....(jfk's words in 1962)......

and DONT TELL me we couldnt do this because we can.........so as orielly says all the time.our government wont take care of this....THEN WE SHOULD.....
so what would be OUR(we the people) first step....

and please dont give me some antibush horseshit...that would be counterproductive to everything.....

Funny how angry liberals always seem to asses blame and whine about everything yet they can offer little in the way of solution other then making someone else to pay the tab (I would not be surprised when Mr. Obama gets into office he will start subsidizing lower income citizens heating bills with tax payer dollars ).

I have a lot more faith that industry will be the ones who provide the innovation to solve this problem not some bleeding heart liberal . Meanwhile Al Gore promotes his global warming agenda to fatten his bank account with his carbon credit investment firm (No different then Dick Chaney with a different angle). His net worth has increased 100 fold since he left office. Imagine that?

Not if the American taxpayer is giving you billions and billions of tax dollars to do it.

Earth to Saudi King, Keep expecting travel to be dangerous for those gouging the world for all they can.

When the Arabs were earning one fifth of what they do now, they went out and bought the world.(or tried to) It is time for the world to show the Arab just how expensive property has gotten for them.

''I would work with our friends in OPEC

Bush obviously misoverestimated the number of friends he had in OPEC. Her john ain't a whore's friend. Pickles could have taught him that.

God forbid the idiot public demands energy independance from Father Energy Company. Let's all talk about gays getting married, because it's soooo much more important!

As Iran Goes So Goes Saudi!

Saudi Arabi should be very worried about an American or Israeli strike on Iran because Iran most likely will retaliate by bombing strategic areas in Saudi Arabia to shut down and cut off Exxon's and etc's oil supply! High oil profits won't do the Royal Saudi Theives much good if they're dead!

Bush obviously misoverestimated the number of friends he had in OPEC

FACT......dems and thier environmental wackos BOSSES have kept us from more drilling and more refinaries......can we agree that if we drill more we will need more refinaries.....and they cant even expand now because to expand the refinaries now is like mew ones and the cost is prohibitive because of requirements put there by DEMOCRATS and thier BOSSES.

so we invaded iraq and disposed of one of the worst dictators in the history of the world and it was all so we could get thier oil and keep the country running......do you have figures on how much iraqi oil we are using? I would guess it was some.

and remember KUWAIT.....didnt they say that because we liberated them from that kindly old gentleman named hussein that they would supply us with all the oil that we needed. am I remembering that correctly?

and I think we SHOULD take over the iraqi oil fields. to the victor go the spoils and NOT A SINGLE ONE Of YOU GUYS would give a shit if you were filling up with iraqi oil at 2 bucks a gallon....you wouldnt care one bit.

Getting Off the Road:
Adjusting to $7 per Gallon Gas in America
The some 57 million Americans who own a car and
have direct access to public transportation will start to
act more and more like Europeans, who have long paid
much higher gasoline prices. By 2012, average miles
driven will have shrunk by more than 15%. SUV and
other light truck sales, which until 2006 accounted for
almost 60% of total motor vehicles, will plummet to
less than half that level, reversing the last fifteen years
growth in market share.
More fundamentally, the freeways are about to get
less congested. Not only will the number of vehicle
registrations in the United States not grow over the
next four years, but by 2012 there should be roughly 10
million fewer vehicles on the road in America than there
are today.

Kerrin, if only there were motor companies prepared for this. Oh wait, there are. Honda and Toyota.
I guess GM and Ford and Chrysler were too fucking stupid. Well, GM did kill the electric car.

We don't need to drill-we got Jayzuzz on our side:
The Pray at the Pump Movement, founded by Rocky Twyman, has been holding prayer vigils at gas stations across the country. On Monday, Twyman decided to take his movement from Exxon and Shell stations straight to the steps of the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Washington, D.C., hoping to encourage the oil-rich country to raise the amount of barrels they release each day from 200,000 to 1.2 million.

Twyman, who is a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, spent the afternoon outside of the embassy praying and asking passersby to sign his petition for the release of more oil, which he hopes to deliver to the Saudi oil minister.

and why is that?
could it be because the leases they have dont have the oil they thought. just having the leases doesnt mean that there is oil there......
