Ho-hum, another suicide....

well that will right another wrong

locked in his cell

it should be real easy to figure out who did this, easy and unlikely

judges love lying cops, they work as a team

Swift and appropriate justice. Anything to save tax payers money

Well that's one cop killer down and now there's a couple of rogue cop who needs the same treatment.

Rogue cops are more dangerous to society than the worst criminals.

Be Well.

Maybe he strangled himself. Who cares. I'm sure he was a worthless human piece of trash/.

FWTHOM, a trial would have been nice. You know, explain why you thought the guy was guilty. It's kind of an American tradition - or are you French, Robespierre?

It didn't take long for the Right Wing Assholes to come out from under there rock to spin this as JUSTICE. So much for the Law an Order Party.......

Robepierre had some good ideas when he cut the heads off the Royal family and started the French Revolution of which we are all lineal decendants. So he got a little out of hand toward the end with the head lopping business.

Actually, it's the other way around, the French were inspired by the American Revolution.

My heart goes out to the family of this misunderstood young man.
Hopefully the ACLU can put the pieces back together again,
and restore the killer of this killer to his full
human potential.

Be Well.

Well well...why have courts at all? Cut out that pesky middle man...

Welcome to Germany, circa 1938

It is usually a gross exaggeration to label someone a Nazi. But in this case, I feel it is justified pointing out what a Nazi piece of human shit FWThom once again reveals himself to be. I am ashamed that walking douchebags like that consider themselves to be Americans.

coming from you, that would be a compliment, eh moder8?

"Justice" without a trial-is nothing more than murder.
When was his trial held? Did a jury find him guilty? Or did a rogue cop murder him while he slept-unguarded-and unarmed-helpless in his cell?

No wonder you asswipes have lost your way.

"Johnson immediately moved to curb speculation that White's death was the result of police officers seeking revenge, saying the slaying was "unrelated to any act" by police."

That's a pretty strong statement to make before the investigation is even finished.

Bet I know what the "official" investigation will turn up.

Bet I know what the "official" investigation will turn up.

I was listening to the radio on the way home yesterday and they were talking about this.

The guy they were interviewing worked for the state police and said that the cause of death was strangulation and that it "appeared" to be caused either by hands or a boot to the neck.

Then the guy listed a laundry list of infractions that this exact station has racked up in the past.

sometimes justice IS swift.

This isn't justice. What the fuck is wrong with you?

I wonder if the same people who consider this "Justice served" are the same people that think we have the right to hold people indefinitely without trial?
Not far from (pick one)a)Despotism b)Lynching c)Democracy

"Justice" without a trial-is nothing more than murder.

Amen. It's amazing that people who don't trust the government in so many areas think it never makes mistakes when it comes to catching and jailing the perpetrators of crimes.

It's amazing that libs pretend to want a trial to prove guilt or innocense but when it does happen and they don't agree with the verdict they keep claiming "Joe Horne broke the law".

Joe Horne was found to have broken no laws by a jury of his peers (and by Texas Law), but you queefs are still crying...

"Give him a trial! Give him a trial! Real Americans want trials and when we don't like the verdict we'll dismiss it and still claim the accused is guilty!"
Sincerely,
Libs

Was OJ innocent, Chair?

I think Chair is the man that put "faux" into "outrage".

I think Zed is a poor man's Boyd.

I could imagine myself having a friendly discussion with OJ Simpson. What I can't imagine is recommending any woman have a relationship with him.

The guard who murdered this man will get the trial he denied his victim. Irony.

Boyd who?

So, when you watch those old westerns, who do you imagine yourself to be? The lonely sheriff standing outside the jail stopping the lynch mob, or a member of the mob?

"Was OJ innocent, Chair?"

That was in California, so, yes.
And if you kill a couple of burglars you go to jail in that fucked-up excuse for a state.

Those poor, poor Menendez brothers.....in prison in California for killing their parents and they didn't even know what they were doing. If only justice had prevailed out there in their case...like it did in the OJ and Blake cases.

no doubt.. These are the guys talking rule of law but only when convenient and in their favor. Vigilante justice doesn't serve a functioning Republic.

p.s. - what kind of american are you, btw?

better one than you Sir..

This could easily be an accident. The kid probably hit a cop and panicked. Might have been talking on his cell phone. Nice prejudicial headline though.

The number of dipshits in this country that assume every accused must be guilty or they wouldn't be in trouble is astonishing.

If Dick or George had done this it would have been taken care of secretly. They're special they can kill with impunity. Our Supreme Court is special too they can override the Constitution and Laws whenever they feel like it and there's nothing you can do about. Isn't Democracy wonderful?

Well then you should stay away from the Horne thread. "Commondense" still can't figure out what the fuck is going on even after numerous people dumbed it down for him.

Horn took the law into his own hands, Chair. Just like the person who killed this accused cop killer, if it wasn't a suicide.

I've got little if any sympathy for cop killers - assuming that's what this guy was. But this reeks of vigilante justice, which contradicts American traditions like the right to a fair trial. Too many people on this thread want to throw that right out the window. While I'm not surprised by the posts of certain individuals here, I am nevertheless disgusted.

Horne stayed with-in Texas Law.
Am I taking the law in to my own hands when I drive 55mph on the thruway or am I obeying the law Rogers?

The GJ agrees with me. Horn broke no laws, he was found innocent. He got his trial and you don't like the outcome so you're bitching. On one hand you cry "Give him a trial" and on the other you cry about the guy who got his trial.

I don't know why anyone should be surprised.

Police officers' lives are worth more than regular people's. That's why its an automatic capital offense in NY and other states.

This investigation will go nowhere.

On one hand you cry "Give him a trial" and on the other you cry about the guy who got his trial.

There's nothing inconsistent about wanting a trial *and* expecting a trial to have a just verdict. Both are entirely consistent with a belief in justice.

Deflection.

Bill Clinton was indicted. But, the Senate chose to use jury nullification. Horne received his Senate action pre-trial.

Hopefully they capture the strangler(s) and prepare them for trial.

My heart and prayers go out to this young officer who had a wife and two little girls. My heart and prayers also go out to the family of the suspect who was murdered in jail in solitary confinement. All death is tragic. This suspect should have been given due process and I am sure he would have been convicted and would have never seen the light of day as a free man again - which would have been correct.

However you right wing SCUMS nauseate me to know end! You all are phonies and have ZERO moral clarity when it comes to Life and the Constitution. The ghosts of our founding fathers should bitch slap everyone of you Fucks! Many of you FUCKS call yourself Pro Life, oops, I mean Pro Birth. You same idiots could give a shit about a child once its born and with regards to capital punishment, you fucks are opposed to what you term "erring on the side of life" when it comes to DNA testing that could prove conclusively the guilt or innocence of a death row inmate.

However you all should be happy today, its reported that Limbaugh signed a $400,000 million deal through 2016. Only in America could a chicken hawk coward who has the nerve to call a vet who opposes the Iraq war a "phony vet", one who preaches morality but is divorced 4 times, one who is a drug addict and has allegedly gone after 14 year old girls in the Virgin Islands and one who is a blatant racist could get such a deal.

"Horne stayed with-in Texas Law.'

Yeah. The one that says "Shoot 'em in the back, and we'll call you a hero".

What a gutless pussy.

I agree, Jomamma. What is noble, respectable, or laudable about shooting unarmed men in the back, men who had done nothing to Horne?

But hey, it's Texas. "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out," right?

sometimes justice IS swift.

This is the Christian definition of Justice then?

you need to go back to school...

So are you saying God intervened and killed this man and so Justice is now served and we don't need to know who the NEW killer is?

Does anyone need any further explanation as to why I am so vehemently opposed to your form of Christian Justice?

I much prefer the old fashioned Atheist Secular Justice where we had a Trial and Judge and Jury and it wasn't about Revenge but about Rehabilitation and Accountability and where one could pay ones debt to society and then maybe even become a part of society again. Where the Cops are there to bring you to Justice not to BE Judge and Jury and Executioner!

Them were the days my friend...

Just because the Grand Jury chose to not indict does not mean that he did not break a law. That means they chose to not indict.

He obviously Killed 2 humans! He admits it! He shot them in the back. He is recorded saying he INTENDED to do so.

Killing Humans is pretty much against the law. (except in TEXAS?)

Using your (stupid) example if I go over the 55 mile an hour speed limit and break the law does not mean that I HAVE to be prosecuted even if I am caught doing it and admit to it does it?

Horn broke no laws, he was found innocent. He got his trial and you don't like the outcome so you're bitching

No. He wasn't found innocent,he was not charged. He didn't have a trial. The grand jury refused to indict.

Maybe you should read some law 101. Or would dealing with reality hurt too much?

The applicable law is posted on this thread.

according to the law, he was within his rights.

not guilty.

I didn't say it was right, mind you, just the law.

Why do you douchebags flaunt your stupidity. Read the fucking law. Every time one of you dumb fucks challenge me on this you lose and lose big time.

Perhaps you haven't noticed the absence of the smart lefties from this conversation (sans HC, who seems to be trying to politely let you know you're wrong)? There's a reason the lawyers on the left aren't attacking me and defending you. I'll leave the reason for that for you to figure out.

Please note that Northgay, commondense, douchespud, and donnerboy are the only tards to continually trip over themselves to show how stupid they are.

Which is why he was not found guilty of anything you dumb fucker.

Are you still talking about this? The Texas statutes clearly indicate that one can use deadly force to protect the property of a third person if he reasonably believes it necessary to do so. Apparently the grand jury thought his conduct was reasonable under the circumstances.

The Texas State Legislature is the reason Joe Horn is not in jail.

sans HC, who seems to be trying to politely let you know you're wrong

thanks for noticing.

HC,
It wasn't too difficult to pick up, which makes it all the more embarrassing for the dummies.

They've got shovels and plenty of energy so they're going to keep digging I guess.

101-hate to interject some reality into your dead beaner jerkoff, but guys who lynched blacks in the south were never indicted either.

That make them innocent?

If there was a law stating they could, then yes, they'd be innocent.

What don't you get stupid? How can I make this any more simple for you? I'm tired of dominating you fucking idiots on this topic and I want to move on.

I hope this guy is rotting in hell.

Which is why he was not found guilty of anything you dumb fucker.

no YOU dumb fucker!

...heh... he was not found guilty because he never went to trial just like the guy found strangled in his cell. Only difference was this guy was scheduled for a fair trial only he just didn't get one.

Seems they are not concerned about that in TEXAS.

I hope this guy is rotting in hell.

Posted by 08r4ever at 2008-07-02 03:53 PM

no worries...with an attitude like that you will surely get to check on him in person.

101, we all know you are the King of Simple, but if a grand jury, or a police department decides not to prosecute somebody, it doesn't mean they are innocent. A grand jury doesn't decide innocence or guilt, just whether to prosecute. Otherwise, why have a trial after an indictment? You should really watch those old Matlock videos again.
White southerners were loath to indict their fellow klansmen for lynching. Hell, some trials took place 40 years after the event, when the Klan wasn't running the judicial system. You can look it up.
