Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Robert L. Borosage: John McCain continues his rousing campaign tour of the swing states of NAFTA this week. He will celebrate July 3rd in Mexico City after a jaunt through Colombia to pledge support for the pending free trade accord with that center of cocaine trade. He surely will increase his margin over Obama among business elites in Mexico and Canada.

"John McCain continues his rousing campaign tour of the swing states of NAFTA this week. He will celebrate July 3rd in Mexico City after a jaunt through Colombia to pledge support for the pending free trade accord with that center of cocaine trade. He surely will increase his margin over Obama among business elites in Mexico and Canada. Obama will travel to Zanesville, Ohio, once more exposing himself to McCain's jibes about embracing "protectionist" policies.

No, this isn't a joke. McCain is stumping Colombia today and Mexico tomorrow, a week after his visit to Ottawa, championing NAFTA to business elites in those countries. "

And some of you derided a debate in Dubai. Get with the program, people, it's a new world order.

A debate in Dubai is an idiotic idea, but you're correct that it's a new global corporate order.

Obama back NAFTA too. Another flip flop.

And can't have any debates--Obama flip flop again!

We should shorten his name to OFF--Obama Flip Flop!

Obama isn't close to breaking McFlipflop's world record.

"* McCain supported the drilling moratorium; now hes against it.

* McCain strongly opposes a windfall-tax on oil company profits. Three weeks earlier, he was perfectly comfortable with the idea.

* McCain thought Bushs warrantless-wiretap program circumvented the law; now he believes the opposite.

* McCain defended privatizing-- Social Security. Now he says hes against privatization (though he actually still supports it.)

Wait, Im not done with the last two weeks yet.

* McCain wanted to change the Republican Party platform to protect abortion rights in cases of rape and incest. Now he doesnt.

* McCain thought the estate tax was perfectly fair. Now he believes the opposite.

* He opposed indefinite detention of terrorist suspects. When the Supreme Court reached the same conclusion, he called it one of the worst decisions in the history of this country.--

* McCain said he would not impose a litmus test on any nominee.-- He used to promise the opposite.

And these come after these other reversals from April and May:

* McCain believes the telecoms should be forced to explain their role in the administrations warrantless surveillance program as a condition for retroactive immunity. He used to believe the opposite.

* McCain supported storing spent nuclear fuel at Yucca Mountain in Nevada. Now he believes the opposite.

* McCain supported moving towards normalization of relations-- with Cuba. Now he believes the opposite.

* McCain believed the U.S. should engage in diplomacy with Hamas. Now he believes the opposite.

* McCain believed the U.S. should engage in diplomacy with Syria. Now he believes the opposite.

* He argued the NRA should not have a role in the Republican Partys policy making. Now he believes the opposite.

* McCain supported his own lobbying-reform legislation from 1997. Now he doesnt.

* He wanted political support from radical televangelists like John Hagee and Rod Parsley. Now he doesnt.

* McCain supported the Lieberman/Warner legislation to combat global warming. Now he doesnt."

I think you still have a couple of posts to go to list all the McCain flip-flops, right?. I was just looking for your post from yesterday.

MURPHY

Your attempts to portray Obama are SO 2004.....

Null isn't done posting McCain's flip-flops. They're about far more serious issues than anything you're attempting to throw at Obama.

"I think you still have a couple of posts to go to list all the McCain flip-flops, right?"

Correct. They can't all fit in one post, but they're all there in the link.

I'll help out.....

* McCain is both for and against earmarks for Arizona.

* McCain believes his endorsement from radical televangelist John Hagee was both a good and bad idea.

* McCains first mortgage plan was premised on the notion that homeowners facing foreclosure shouldnt be rewarded-- for acting irresponsibly.-- His second mortgage plan took largely the opposite position.

* McCain vowed, if elected, to balance the federal budget by the end of his first term. Soon after, he decided he would no longer even try to reach that goal.

* In February 2008, McCain reversed course on prohibiting waterboarding.

* McCain used to champion the Law of the Sea convention, even volunteering to testify on the treatys behalf before a Senate committee. Now he opposes it.

* McCain was a co-sponsor of the DREAM Act, which would grant legal status to illegal immigrants kids who graduate from high school. Now hes against it.

* On immigration policy in general, McCain announced in February 2008 that he would vote against his own legislation.

* In 2006, McCain sponsored legislation to require grassroots lobbying coalitions to reveal their financial donors. In 2007, after receiving feedback-- on the proposal, McCain told far-right activist groups that he opposes his own measure.

* McCain said before the war in Iraq, We will win this conflict. We will win it easily.-- Four years later, McCain said he knew all along that the war in Iraq war was probably going to be long and hard and tough.--

* McCain said he was the greatest critic-- of Rumsfelds failed Iraq policy. In December 2003, McCain praised the same strategy as a mission accomplished.-- In March 2004, he said, Im confident were on the right course.-- In December 2005, he said, Overall, I think a year from now, we will have made a fair amount of progress if we stay the course.--

* McCain went from saying he would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade to saying the exact opposite.

* McCain went from saying gay marriage should be allowed, to saying gay marriage shouldnt be allowed.

* McCain criticized TV preacher Jerry Falwell as an agent of intolerance-- in 2002, but then decided to cozy up to the man who said Americans deserved-- the 9/11 attacks.

* McCain used to oppose Bushs tax cuts for the very wealthy, but he reversed course in February.

* On a related note, he said 2005 that he opposed the tax cuts because they were too tilted to the wealthy.-- By 2007, he denied ever having said this, and insisted he opposed the cuts because of increased government spending.

* In 2000, McCain accused Texas businessmen Sam and Charles Wyly of being corrupt, spending dirty money-- to help finance Bushs presidential campaign. McCain not only filed a complaint against the Wylys for allegedly violating campaign finance law, he also lashed out at them publicly. In April, McCain reached out to the Wylys for support.

* McCain supported a major campaign-finance reform measure that bore his name. In June 2007, he abandoned his own legislation.

* McCain opposed a holiday to honor Martin Luther King, Jr., before he supported it.

* McCain was against presidential candidates campaigning at Bob Jones University before he was for it.

* McCain was anti-ethanol. Now hes pro-ethanol.

* McCain was both for and against state promotion of the Confederate flag.

* McCain decided in 2000 that he didnt want anything to do with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, believing he would taint the image of the Straight Talk Express.-- Kissinger is now the Honorary Co-Chair for his presidential campaign in New York.

Some of McFlipper's greatest flops:

he past couple of weeks have been especially difficult when it comes to McCain flip-flops.

* McCain supported the drilling moratorium; now hes against it.

Now he doesnt.

And these are the flip-flops Ive noticed earlier:

* McCain pledged in February 2008 that he would not, under any circumstances, raise taxes. Specifically, McCain was asked if he is a read my lips candidate, no new taxes, no matter what?-- referring to George H.W. Bushs 1988 pledge. No new taxes,-- McCain responded. Two weeks later, McCain said, Im not making a read my lips statement, in that I will not raise taxes.--

* McCain is both for and against a rogue state rollback-- as a focus of his foreign policy vision.

* McCain says he considered and did not consider joining John Kerrys Democratic ticket in 2004.

* In 1998, he championed raising cigarette taxes to fund programs to cut underage smoking, insisting that it would prevent illnesses and provide resources for public health programs. Now, McCain opposes a $0.61-per-pack tax increase, wont commit to supporting a regulation bill hes co-sponsoring, and has hired Philip Morris former lobbyist as his senior campaign adviser.

* McCain has changed his economic worldview on multiple occasions.

* McCain has changed his mind about a long-term U.S. military presence in Iraq on multiple occasions.

* McCain is both for and against attacking Barack Obama over his former pastor at his former church.

* McCain believes Americans are both better and worse off than they were before Bush took office.

How do you guys feel about Obama coming out against gay marriage now? Ofcourse he did say he was for "very very strong civil unions". Or was he for the gun ban before he was against it?

DALTON

Read list of 40 something McCain flip-flops and comment again...

Thanks

"How do you guys feel about Obama coming out against gay marriage now?"

He's always been pro civil unions and against same-sex marriage.

Or "I will debate John McCain anywhere anytime" er uh I mean only on the 4th of July

Great choices for president, flip and flop.

Public financing?

Back on topic:

"You can't teach old dog new tricks, goes the old saw. And with McCain, it seems ever more obvious that you can't trust an old salt on a new ocean. He simply doesn't get it. For years, the trade debate featured the mantra he repeats above. Trade, by definition, benefited America. Sure, a few privileged union workers might lose their cushy jobs and padded salaries, but they would find new jobs in the expanding global economy. Americans would prosper from investments abroad, our financial services industry would capture the high end of the expanded world economy; we'd sustain our manufacturing edge by becoming more productive; we'd benefit from lower priced goods imported from abroad. The earth was flat, Tom Friedman taught us, and we're all the better for it.

Except it hasn't quite worked out like that. Productivity went up, but wages stagnated at best and insecurity increased. Corporations clubbed workers with the threat of moving abroad, and cut back on salaries, job security, and benefits like health care and pensions. Families went ever deeper into debt as the cost of basics -- education, health care, retirement security, and now food and gas -- soared. More and more workers lost good jobs, only to be forced into those that paid less with fewer benefits. And now with the global workforce effectively doubled as China and India and the former Soviet Union joined the global maw, it isn't just industrial workers at risk, but some 30 million jobs that could face off-shoring, according to sober free trade advocates like Alan Blinder. Financial services did prosper, until their greed and gambling blew up in the housing bubble. "

Both candidates are a POS - no matter which wins, we all lose.

Flip-Flop count on this thread:

McCain: 42 Obama: 1

Can anyone figure out if Barry thinks Iran is a threat or not?

Dalton-
re: "How do you guys feel about Obama coming out against gay marriage now?"

If by "now" you mean "a long time ago", I don't see your point. What sorry-assed excuse for a news source gave you the idea that this happened anywhere near "now"?

What about "I could no more disavow Rev Wright than I could my own grandmother"
Au, at least you will admit he is a flip flopper.

Dalton-
Is Iran (with literally 1/100th of our annual military spending) more or less of a threat to us than the USSR was pre-1990?

No matter who wins, we're going to get fucked in the ass. I say the candidate with the smallest dick should win. At least it may not hurt as much.

"Flip-Flop count on this thread:

McCain: 42 Obama: 1"

I didn't check above in detail, but this might be another one to add to the McCain tote board...

2004 - Swiftboaters actions "deplorable" and "dishonorable", and their tactics repudiated

2008 - not only do you trot one out to bolster your campaign, but you allow your campaign to accept almost $70,000 from the key Swifties.

"Can anyone figure out if Barry thinks Iran is a threat or not?

Posted by Dalton"

Yes.

"I say the candidate with the smallest dick should win. At least it may not hurt as much.

Posted by Ray"

I am NOT voting for McCain!

SA, he also said they were not a threat.

"Just last October, however, Obama announced he would vote for a Peruvian trade agreement that would expand NAFTA into that country.

In fact, he was the first presidential candidate to declare support for the NAFTA expansion"

If I'm not swayed by the whole POW thing, I certainly won't be swayed by the smaller dick argument either, Dalton. I'm not voting for McCain.

I never mentined dicks. Dick

"Just last October, however, Obama announced he would vote for a Peruvian trade agreement that would expand NAFTA into that country."

Yes. And your point is?

Obama has always said he generally favors free trade, but feels NAFTA needs to be revised to include greater environmental considerations and labor controls.

Dalton-
Sorry, that was Ray. My bad.

Say Dalton, do you believe that Iran, Cuba or Venezuela pose a military threat to the US?

He [Obama] ripped Hillary Clinton for months for voting to list Iran's Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. Days after Clinton conceded, Obama flipped and said he supported the definition.

Obama repeatedly vowed to meet with various heads of terror statesmost notably Ahmadinejad of Iran"without preconditions." Then, with the nomination in sight, he zigzagged: "There's no reason why we would necessarily meet with Ahmadinejad. He's not the most powerful person in Iran."

In October, he supported NAFTA expansion. In March, campaigning in the Ohio primary, he called for a "reopening" of the trade pact's terms. This week, he called his own primary rhetoric "overheated" and said NAFTA has had a positive effect on the US economy.

Yesterday, after signaling opposition to nuclear power, he told Democratic governors he's open to expanding it."

FLIP-FLOP #1: In His Remarks To The Annual AIPAC Policy Conference, Obama Said That Jerusalem Should Be The Undivided Capital Of Israel, But Later Said The City's Future Should Be Negotiated By Israel And The Palestinians:

On Wednesday, Obama Said Jerusalem Would Be The Undivided Capital Of Israel. Obama: "Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided." (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks At The Annual AIPAC Policy Conference, Arlington, VA, 6/4/08)

One Day Later, Obama Said The Future Of Jerusalem Would Have To Be Negotiated By Israel And The Palestinians. CNN's Candy Crowley: "I want to ask you about something you said in AIPAC yesterday. You said that Jerusalem must remain undivided. Do Palestinians have no claim to Jerusalem in the future?" Obama: "Well, obviously, it's going to be up to the parties to negotiate a range of these issues." (CNN's "The Situation Room," 6/5/08)

FLIP-FLOP #2: Obama Now Claims That He Will Only Meet With Foreign Leaders At A Time Of His Choosing If It Will Advance U.S. Interests, But Previously Said He Would Meet With Rogue Leaders His First Year In Office Without Preconditions:

In His Remarks To The AIPAC Conference, Obama Claimed That He Would Only Meet With The "Appropriate Iranian Leaders At A Time And Place" Of His Choosing. Obama: "Contrary to the claims of some, I have no interest in sitting down with our adversaries just for the sake of talking. But as President of the United States, I would be willing to lead tough and principled diplomacy with the appropriate Iranian leaders at a time and place of my choosing - if, and only if - it can advance the interests of the United States." (Sen. Barack Obama, Remarks At The Annual AIPAC Policy Conference, Arlington, VA, 6/4/08)

But At A July 2007 Debate, Obama Said He Would Meet With Hostile Leaders During His First Year In Office. Question: "[W]ould you be willing to meet separately, without precondition, during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea, in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries?"...Obama: "I would. And the reason is this, that the notion that somehow not talking to countries is punishment to them - which has been the guiding diplomatic principle of this administration - is ridiculous." (CNN/YouTube Democrat Presidential Candidate Debate, Charleston, SC, 7/23/07)

At A September 2007 Press Conference, Obama Confirmed That He Would Meet Specifically With Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Question: "Senator, you've said before that you'd meet with President Ahmadinejad ..." Obama: "Uh huh." Question: "Would you still meet with him today?" Obama: "Yeah, nothing's changed with respect to my belief that strong countries and strong presidents talk to their enemies and talk to their adversaries. I find many of President Ahmadinejad's statements odious and I've said that repeatedly. And I think that we have to recognize that there are a lot of rogue nations in the world that don't have American interests at heart. But what I also believe is that, as John F. Kennedy said, we should never negotiate out of fear but we should never fear to negotiate." (Sen. Barack Obama, Press Conference, New York, NY, 9/24/07)

Ahmadinejad doesn't even control the military. Now you and John McCain know that:

www.youtube.com

Also, I'll need links to quotes, or they don't mean anything to me from you.

"He [Obama] ripped Hillary Clinton for months for voting to list Iran's Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization. Days after Clinton conceded, Obama flipped and said he supported the definition."

Incorrect. He opposed Kyl-Leiberman not because of the Revolutionary Guard portion but because of another portion of the bill which tied it to maintaining troop levels in Iraq as a direct counter to Iran. He later co-sponsored another bill that included the Revolutionary Guard portion, but tied it to economic pressure and divestment.

"Obama Said That Jerusalem Should Be The Undivided Capital Of Israel, But Later Said The City's Future Should Be Negotiated By Israel And The Palestinians:"

I read the first one, and it's transparently bullshit.

I'm sure you haven't heard the interview where he supposedly contradicts himself. You should google it before you type anymore, and definitely before I read any more of what you type.

Betelg, I copied the quotes if they mean nothing to you fine. Why would you comment on them then? And to answer your question. I think Iran could cause a threat w/ terrorist ties. Cuba and Venezuela not so much.

"Ahmadinejad doesn't even control the military. Now you and John McCain know that:

www.youtube.com"

Is that the one where the reporter kept pointing out to McCain that Ahmadinejad didn't really have much actual power and McCain said, well, if you ask the American people they think he does and that's good enough for me"?

SA, you need to link or something for Boyd to believe you. I am not saying I don't. I merely googled Obama flip flops and copied and pasted some that were listed. My only point was to the earlier comments and the whole idea that he never changes postions.

Sanantonio-
That's the one.

"I merely googled Obama flip flops and copied and pasted some that were listed."

See, therein lies the problem. My philosophy is that one shouldn't simply cut and paste things and present them as fact without doing at least minimal due diligence on their accuracy.

"the whole idea that he never changes postions."

Who said that? You're really blowing straw here, Mongo.

Dalton-
No, I trust Sanantonio. Your "sources", however, are frequently 3rd+ hand accounts of fragments of ideologically wrapped fetishes disguised as political commentary.

Obama and McCain both have problems.

Obama has more--

So maybe I should scroll back up and see where you busted Nulli's balls since he had no links?

That would be YOUR opinion.

" see where you busted Nulli's balls since he had no links?"

WTF?

"Posted by MURPHY"

And speaking of one who is known far and wide for posting things as fact without doing minimal due diligence...

McCain and all of his lackluster and disappointed supporters have the biggest problem of all:

They think they're going to lose. They KNOW they're going to lose, and I hear that salient fact belched onto the airwaves every day, carried into the either by the magical farts of Rush Limbaugh and the whiny petulance of that kid who carried a briefcase in high school and was saving himself for marriage. Ian, or something.

Who is this McBush fellow? Never heard of him before.

With a name like that he sure sound like he could beat the shit out of Barackula.

When Asked About Today's Supreme Court Decision Striking Down The Use
Of The Death Penalty For A Child Rapist, Obama Stated That He Disagreed
With The Decision. Reporter: "Senator, what's your reaction to the Supreme
Court's decision today striking down the death penalty for a child rapist?"
Obama: "I disagree with the decision. I have said repeatedly that I think
that the death penalty should be applied in very narrow circumstances, for
the most egregious of crimes. I think that the rape of a small child, 6 or
8 years old, is a heinous crime. And if a state makes a decision that under
narrow, limited, well-defined circumstances, the death penalty is at least
potentially applicable, that that does not violate our constitution. Now, I
think it's -- you know, had the Supreme Court said we want to constrain the
ability of the states to do this to make sure that it's done in a careful
and appropriate way, that would have been one thing. But it basically had a
blanket prohibition and I disagreed with that decision." (Sen. Barack
Obama, Press Conference, Chicago, IL, 6/25/08)

But In The Past, Obama Opposed The Death Penalty:

Running For The Illinois State Senate In 1996, Obama Opposed The Death
Penalty. Question: "Do you support ... capital punishment?" Obama's Answer:
"No." (Independent Voters Of Illinois Independent Precinct Organization
1996 General Candidate Questionnaire, Barack Obama Responses, 9/9/96)

Yes San you are soooo wise and all-no-nothing.

And we are all sure that the links for Null's remarks are not from biased sources. Right?

Goes to show what happens when someone is in Congress for 26 years.

That's the problem with electing Senators.

Other than Obama's 130 votes as "Present", he has just as many OFF's. (Obama Flip Flops)

The headline should be Obama and McCain both love NAFTA.

But that would be too partisan for Null.

Murphy-
Which US Senator currently in office has missed more votes this session than any other Senator?

Murphy-
The new GI Bill that McCain fought against and then praised? McCain missed the vote.

"The headline should be Obama and McCain both love NAFTA.

But that would be too partisan for Null.

Posted by MURPHY"

No, Murphy, you're wrong as usual. I've been very critical of Obama. His centrist position on NAFTA is stupid in both content and as political strategy, as far as I'm concerned. He could win Ohio with a strong anti-NAFTA position.

Murphy-
Here's the link to McCain missing WAAAAAY more votes than anyone else in the 110th Congress:

But In The Past, Obama Opposed The Death Penalty:

Idiot continue to post such non-educated findings.

There is a difference for what Obama Opposes and what his constituents oppose.

Wow! McCain missed 111 more votes than Obama!

What were you saying, Murphy? (do you now understand why McCain doesn't hit him there?)

"Running For The Illinois State Senate In 1996, Obama Opposed The Death

That is correct Dalton. When he was running for State Senate he opposed the existing death penalty law in Illinois. But when you do a bit of homework you find (tip of the hat to Paul Harvey)... the rest of the story.

www.boston.com

"Yes San you are soooo wise and all-no-nothing.

And we are all sure that the links for Null's remarks are not from biased sources. Right?"

But see here's the difference between you and me Murphy. If I'm not sure someone's source is unbiased or correct, I check it out and try to find a better source to back it up.

How'd that whole "they altered the audio on the Wes Clark video work out for ya last night? Oh wait, it was his ACCENT that threw you off, right?

Oh wait, it was his ACCENT that threw you off, right?

I think it was Clark's thick Irish brogue that threw Murphy off.

"Other than Obama's 130 votes as 'Present'..."

Another case in point, Murphy. Do you know what percentage of his total votes cast that represents? Do you know the background of the use of "present" votes in the Illinois Legislature? Do you know any specific cases where he used a "present" vote as a leveraging tool?

I do. Because if I find something questionable or disturbing, I check it out further, whereas you don't care, as long as the original information, accurate or not, supports your position.

Funny how Murphy goes away when her little "facts" are challenged with reality.

Can ANYONE tell me why McSame is touring Colombia with Joementum? His campaign is beginning to look like "Grumpy Old Men III"
I mean, not that I'd oppose a big government pro-abortion liberal being one very old heartbeat (or more likely one Mossad hit)from the Presidency....

RCade, do you seriously have "McBush" as part of a front page title?

Really?

If we start Obama stories with "Osama..." will that get to the front page like that too? How about "Hussein..."

Let's try...

McCain is a puppet who is told what to say.

His decisions are made FOR him, not BY him.

Big difference.

Hahahahahaha.

AP Poll: Hussein the preferred BBQ guest

Rob

such aghast!

Appalling !

Shocking !

I love feigning outrage preposterously after vomiting on everyone else's opinions , just like you!

JEEEZ Rcade, what is this site coming too

"I love feigning outrage preposterously after vomiting on everyone else's opinions , just like you!"

It's called hypocrisy.

AHole

So comparing Osama to Obama is the same as comparing Bush to MCCain

In other words Rob, you are equating Bush with Bin Laden in that scenario, nice!

It's called hypocrisy.

Posted by nullifidian

You forgot to say "Crybaby."

So comparing Osama to Obama is the same as comparing Bush to MCCain

In regards to deliberately changing their names to imply they are similar, or share the same beliefs, yeah it is.

You tools have been calling senator Mcain all sorts of queer names, McBush, McSame, McCane, etc, for months now... But I've never seen it before as a front page title. I'm just curious if it was an oversite or if its acceptable now?

So the next article I post about Obama I am going to use Hussein or Osama.

We can all play this game of yours Null.

McSame toots in Colombia? Wow, he really is Bushified.

Boy howdy. That'll really show us!

MsSame ought to get his *** home and tour the Rust Belt, where job loss has created a lot of pain.

Yer runnin' for pres. of the US, John, not Colombia.

We can all play this game of yours Null.

Posted by MURPHY

Sure we can, but I'm gonna bet articles using Obama's middle name or "Osama" don't make it to the front page without editing...

Are you shocked? I'm shocked.

Speaking of toot, did you see where Prince William spotted some coke smugglers in the Atlantic?

"We can all play this game of yours Null."

Be my guest. Still haven't seen any of you headline Nazis complaining about "misleading" rightwing headlines. Hypocrites.

awwwww

You'll rue the day Nulli! You'll rue the day you MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!

Mark my words...lol.

Still haven't seen any of you headline Nazis complaining about "misleading" rightwing headlines.

How many misleading Right Wing headlines get to the front page unedited?

Hell I had a thread on here the other day where not only the title was redone, but the entire summary too...

"Hell I had a thread on here the other day where not only the title was redone, but the entire summary too... "

Rcade rocks! Hahahaha.

So how can it be hypocritical to point out misleading headlines about McCain, or question using "McBush" in the title, if no such front page headlines exist about Obama or the Dems, or use "Hussein?"

check it out--

And I am back to work---

www.drudge.com

Yer runnin' for pres. of the US, John, not Colombia.

He heard "Columbia, gem of the Ocean" and got confused. Give him a break, he's ancient.

Still think it's got to be embarrassing for him and his supporters for him to need Joementum with him, explaining where he is and what to say.

i bet rcade missed this one

he seems to keep it real on the front page..

we'll see

"So how can it be hypocritical to point out misleading headlines about McCain,"

Well, you've done your job. You pointed it out. I'm sure that will be the end of it, right?

Yer runnin' for pres. of the US, John, not Colombia.

Whoa, don't tell Hussein Osama its for President of the US... He and Michelle are still convinced its for CEO of Popeye's...

I'm sure that will be the end of it, right?

Oh absolutely... lol... I'll just allow this thread to get back on topic.

RCade, do you seriously have "McBush" as part of a front page title?

That was a bug. I'm still working out the kinks in the new server, and the headline change I made didn't get saved.

Perot told us straight

NAFTA is a GIANT SUCKING SOUND

I'm sure Lou Dobbs will congratulate the "straight talker" on his decision to campaign in Columbia.

Maybe McCain should advise El Presidente of Colombia that we have Joe Horn in our armamentarium, and that "free trade" does not include sending their criminals up here to prey on Americans.

those criminals work for the Americanas. Bush, North, to name only two, plus very Corporation that doesn't like labor unions. 250 Union Leaders per year murder in Columbia.

I guess McCain really does love immigrants. Seems he down there campaigning for their votes before they can even cross the border....... ......now THAT'S a preemptive strike!

And I am back to work.

McCain loves Colombia free trade because Charlie Black tells him to.

Later today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will embark on a trip to South America, where he will stop in Cartagena, Colombia to meet with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe. But as he prepares to leave, focus is shifting to the long standing business and political ties between the country and McCains top strategist, Charlie Black. The New York Times reports today that Blacks firm received more than $1.8 million lobbying for Colombias leading gas and oil company

The McBullshit Express just keeps chugging right along on the backs of peasant workers.

McCain is pro nafta! Arizona benefits from it! Screw Nafta bring the jobs back to the US!

McCain may as well have tattooed "CAFTA" on his forehead.
What a fool. Let's see how well this plays in Ohio.

Pretty slick move on McBush's part to travel to Columbia and talk up NAFTA on the day before the the job loss figures were released. I think he actually wants to lose the election. I hope he gets his wish.

Maybe he should tour some of the closed factories in Ohio, talk to some of those folks. Last winter, 10% of the families in the state were on *&^%#$ foodstamps. Now, he's got a plan to put 50% on foodstamps and keep us in Iraq for 100 years.

We need to clean house big time in the US.

I always thought that Independence Day was a holiday for the United States of America. With that fact in mind, why is McCain in Columbia of all places?
