Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Intelligence reports for more than a year had been streaming in about Osama bin Laden's terrorism network rebuilding in the Pakistani tribal areas, a problem that had been exacerbated by years of missteps in Washington and the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, sharp policy disagreements, and turf battles between American counterterrorism agencies.

While the intellectually bereft rightwing echo chamber goes apoplectic in their zeal to mischaracterize what Wesley Clark has said over and over again for months about John McCain's own meager executive experiences as it relates to relevance for being a POTUS, one of the most incredibly damning and significant FAILURES of the Bush Administration continues to be overlooked as all the lives and billions upon billions of wasted tax dollars spent indeed haven't neutralized our Number One enemy after nearly 7 years following 9/11. Infact, our enemy, AQ, has actually increased its ranks and further destabilized the Pakistani/Afghani border region along with the US-backed governments of both countries.

As the GOP keeps trying to ignore the abject failure of the Bush Doctrine, as McCain seeks to continue along its abysmal path, the Democrats have been gift-wrapped the national security issue as a ticking time-bomb, ready to explode into the public's consciousness should either Pakistan or Afghanistan see further upheaval within their fragile ruling governments caused by the destabilizing influence of both the resurgent Taliban along with the Bush-enabled AQ.

The facts show that the Republicans are batting near ZERO as it relates to the effectiveness of their decade-long strategies of eradication of these two most damaging elements and their complete misuse and abuse of American armed forces unable to complete their initial proscribed mission because of their haste to shift focus toward Iraq for no reason than its overall corrosive effects upon America's and the ME's current security along with the momentous shifts in the global markets caused by their ham-handed misconceptions underlying their abject failures upon the most crucial of stages.

in the history of afghanistan

nobody has successfully conquered it

nobody
even the taliban didn't control all of afghanistan

There are only a few jobs, in fact, that provide direct, transferable training for the Oval Office--the vice presidency, the governorship of a large, complex state and/or military command service. Neither McCain nor Barack Obama has held any of these gigs, which means that Clark completely misses the point.

Great article... Tony, even Obama and his campaign has basically told Clark to shut the fuck up... you can't be serious in thinking this is a legit topic?

Tony you need to get to Obama's campaign site and refresh your talking points...

Obama disowns critique of McCain's military record

"No one could have predicted withdrawing resources from afghanistan would let al queda and the taliban regroup."
Secreatry of Trying to Find America, Condi Chevron.

"who is this Al guy and why can't I visit Baghdad in daylight?"
George Bush
"Al Quesadia is the head of Iran."
John "Where's Lieberman when you need him" McSame.

Vice President - really? That's unproven at best.

Governor of a "large, complex state" - apparently Texas was pretty fucking simple.

Military Command service - really? I think Dwight did ok, but he warned about the growing power of the military-industrial complex - OVER 50 FUCKING YEARS AGO.

Leaders LEAD. Dumbfucks like Bush take orders from their superiors.

Look on the bright side, this will give us an excuse to bomb the shit out of Pakistan. We could bomb them back to the stone age, but they are already there. Maybe that's why they can't be conquered, the place looks the same before and after complete destruction.

"Look on the bright side, this will give us an excuse to bomb the shit out of Pakistan. We could bomb them back to the stone age, but they are already there. Maybe that's why they can't be conquered"

YEAH!

Except we have already committed to and declared we were "Democratizing it" ----- not "conquering it"

Anyway, this response just reaffirms the Bush Cults insincerity and drives home the fact they are inherently dishonest!

No it doesn't. You've been conditioned to thing that an interventionalist foreign policy is ok--it's not. you think that fucking with countries like pre-war Iraq, Iran, Saudi, Pakistan, etc, is our right, but it's not! Who every said that imposing sanctions is not an act of war? Yes, the UN agreed to it, but it's in our economic interest to do so.

The reasons for the sanctions is that Iran did not want to play our game, they took their oil and went home. Then we said. Nope, you won't be able to seel it anywhere, then. HA. Well, thirty years of fucking with countries like Iran is coming to real war now.

Guess what? None of this is "OK".

Anyway, this response just reaffirms the Bush Cults insincerity and drives home the fact they are inherently dishonest!

Dishonest? No. Ignorant? Definately! Same goes for Libs.

An educated voter will be voting for someone other than Obama and McCain.

If our enemies were to plant someone in the office of the US presidency, they wouldn't have been thought they could get away with their traitor-president being as destructive towards US interests as Bush has been. They would have thought more subtlety was needed......

Rob...

I'm not surprised to see that you're alone among reichwingers to criticize the fact that I don't agree with Obama when it comes to what Wesley Clark says.

I don't need to go to anyone's website to express my own common sense judgment hardly unique among the non-feces throwing sector of the population.

There is NO direct prerequisite event, occupation, or prior life experience that determines whether one will be a competent POTUS or an inept, befuddled one!

All anyone with a modicum of sense needs to do is choose whichever POTUS' they think were exemplary and then look at what they'd been through in their own lives prior to becoming POTUS. There has only been one unique characteristic which all POTUS have had and its the fact they were all male. If you have knowledge of the lineages you'd already know that at least 6 former Presidents had black members in their direct bloodlines, so Obama, if elected, will not truly be the first. He'll only be the first openly acknowledged as such.

Regardless, the charges slung at Clark are as bogus as a Confederate dollar bill. I'm truly disappointed (but I understand because the indignation people like you and Jeff J. display fully explains the reason why Obama distanced himself as he is forced to for politic's sake) in the campaign's stance over this issue and it chagrins me to admit this is not the type of "plain common sense" I'd hope to have seen from his campaign and himself. As I've said time and time before, Obama isn't perfect. He's going to do some things that you'll like and I won't. Such is the nature of politics.

The ski trip in hell in on!!

gee thats funny......in the papers I read, the last couple of days, there have been reports of pakistani troops kicking the shit out of insurgents.....which I assume have at LEAST SOME alqaida in that group.......hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm

BLT,

The military is calling you. You are a true believer, which makes for the best kind of recruit. You can even get four years of college at the highest in state rate if you last three years.

Tony let me see if I get this straight... you think the Obama campaign should have not only stood with Clark but given a Trinity Church-esque, "Amen!" to what he said? That's fucking looney... Read the Newsweek article on why Clark was such an idiot for making such a mistake... You realize GOPers from now until November can say that the Obama campaign denegrated McCain's service to this nation...

Clark, who I like and would have voted for if he were the nominee no question, fucked up...

Yes, Pak became home to AQ as soon as GWB outsourced getting UBL to the pro-AQ Pak Army. Duh! Set back about 10 years!

time for another 911 in Paki, Tosser?:>)

VIDEO - The Pentagon 9/11 Lie Fest
The FBI didn't want you to know what was going on in Venice, FL before 9/11.
Specifically that terrorist/fundamentalist "ring leader" Mohamed Atta was really a coke-snorting, lap dance buying, scotch drinking drug pilot who appeared to be operating under the protection of the US government.

so nutcase...what the fuck are you trying to say....
so if obama is the commander in chief are you going to demand that HE enlist.......I thought not.....

Urban Moving Systems: the US-Israeli 9/11 Financial Nexus

Thursday, June 19, 2008 by Maasanova
With the global awakening of what really happened on 9/11 surging ahead at full steam, many people are now aware of facts such as prior government knowledge of the attacks, the mysterious collapse of WTC 7, all of the military and terror drills going on at the same time of the attacks, and the possibility that WTC 1, 2 and 7 were brought down by controlled demolition, and not by fire.

lets invade Paki then...to find that Bin Dead for years!

so if obama is the commander in chief are you going to demand that HE enlist.......I thought not.....

Wow, you've sed as bunch of really STUPID things on this blog over the years but THAT qualifies you fer a new rating.

Be Well.

no potatocunt........its not stupid at all.
nutcase thinks that I cant have an opinion on the war on terror because I wasnt in the military and here we have the great messiah who served EXACTLY AS LONG AS I DID......and he wants him to be the commander in chief.

so lets recap this one.

1)nutcase wants to shut me up about the war because I didnt serve

2) he wants someone who DIDNt serve to be in CHARGE of the friggin military

and you dont see something wrong with his protests???

Tony let me see if I get this straight... you think the Obama campaign should have not only stood with Clark but given a Trinity Church-esque, "Amen!" to what he said? That's fucking looney... Read the Newsweek article on why Clark was such an idiot for making such a mistake... You realize GOPers from now until November can say that the Obama campaign denegrated McCain's service to this nation..

And only idiots and fools won't notice that 1., the term was ASKED OF CLARK BY SCHIEFFER,(sic?) Clark was only asnwering a question asked of him, not declaring anything about McCain in THOSE WORDS, and 2. it had zero to do with denigrating McCain's service. The point Clark made was that being shot down for one's country doesn't make one better prepared to be POTUS than not being shot down does. The action is irrelevant to the argument about qualifications for POTUS, not military service in its entirety.

As I stated before: Regardless, the charges slung at Clark are as bogus as a Confederate dollar bill.

If Corky had his head out of Hillary's ass months ago he probably would have noticed many other things I'm not in lockstep agreement with Obama on, but then he wouldn't have been true to his shrew....

TR sounds bitter, clinging to his guns and his ObamBible, holding on to his antipathy for people who don't drink as much Obamaide as him.

I think it must be the eavesdropping, Bible-promoting, public finance dissing, move-on.org abandoning, gun loving Obama that makes him so bitter.

Months ago (and minutes ago), there was no foolish move or verbal blunder Obama could make that TR couldn't rationalize away with a few good Andrew Sullivan cut n' pastes.

Now he is forced by his Saviour's pandering to admit, gulp!, differences with Him as Obama slides rather bumpily to the center, leaving far Leftists to wonder if they haven't been had by someone who was willing to position himself Left of Hillary only so long as it took him to fool some of the people most of the time.

Good luck with that.

yeah, Hillary would have been a far better shill for sure:>)

The Rise of the Jewish Empire in North America
In 1950s america, as in many other western countries, there were taboos preventing people from talking about a range of social issues such as homosexuality, incest, male rape, etc, etc. These days nobody would think twice about discussing these issues. The only taboos in the western world these days have to do with jews. There is a taboo about jewish funding of political parties (in america and britain). There is a taboo against the influence of the jewish lobby on american politicians. There is a taboo about jewish attempts to take over the russian economic and political system. There is a taboo about the tribute payments that america makes to its jewish masters in the jews-only state in palestine. "The Congress, the Executive branch, state and local governments, and national and local media have all come under the influence of the Jewish "lobby's" pro-Israel agenda to the point that none or few dare to criticize Israel or its US representatives." (James Petras 'The meaning of war: A heterodox perspective'
www.rebelion.org).

I'd rather cling to My "ObamaBible" than to cling to Hillary's Pantleg.

Larry

"2) he wants someone who DIDNt serve to be in CHARGE of the friggin military"

the commander in chief is a civilian role for a reason
