For those that care to know.......

Breaking News: Al Gore invented the internet.

(Some douchebag will bother to print the quote and think I actually give a fuck)

Chairpoodle, was up Cockgazer?

Nada. How about you?
Weather's been shitty so far this summer. It's limiting my time on the water.

We've been having "Juneuary" here until yesterday and today, Sunny and 90, unusual up here.
By Tuesday we'll be back to morning clouds and fog, afternoon sun, 68.

Stays light till 11 though.

So you came on just to stir shit and see if you could get a bite?
some things never change.

Is this the nooner?

I was hiding from me!

Bob Barr was on Fox News Sunday today. I think he did poorly. If this was people's introduction to the Libertarian Party they will come away with the mistaken impression that Libertarians are just like Republicans and Democrats, that they flip-flop whenever it's politically convenient. What a poor choice for a Libertarian candidate. Sure, he might get more media, but the damage he does to the image of the party more than outweighs all the media coverage he gets.

Weird bug. Almost wanted to keep it around.

Barr is no libertarian; he's a conservative. The Libertarian Party I used to know doesn't exist anymore. It was recognized that the party had no chance of winning elections, but it provided an opportunity to educate the masses on libertarian philosophy. The current generation of party regulars take winning too seriously, so they took some pages from the major parties.

I agree Ray, somtimes winning needs to be redifined in terms of different objectives. Winning a presidency, or whatever other office, at the expense of abandoning party principles is actually a loss. Educating people about Libertarian principles would be a worthy goal in itself.

It is pathetic how the LP wants Americans to not forgive Obama and McCain for their flip-flop, but wants us to just forget and forgive Bob Barr's flip-flops:

Go, Bob Barr, go!!! Please ... all you righties who don't find John McSame right enough ... pull that Bob Barr lever in November. You KNOW that no one is perfect ... herm

Its time for the winner to be exposed. Zip back up damn you, wait for it.

The winning entry for this weeks-

"Describe the following in one sentence or less."

It needs to be said that the Pope was certainly a "Popeular" pick.

Bushlovertwo - need to ask you a question, DH is writing his half-time show right now and we are having a major discussion. He is doing Lion King (he did it seven years ago and it was very successful he was even invited to perform it at another school's homecoming!) he is re-writing for the instruments he has now obviously but I suggested a "twist" to him. "I just can't wait to be king" is obviously a very upbeat song, but I suggested to DH that it is really a very SAD song seeing as Simba is unconsiously wishing for his Dad's death (I know deep) DH said "why do you have to go so deep, I'm not even sure the judges will get that" I don't know, I think if we start out with the upbeat "I just can't wait" then turn it into something a little darker then the Judges will get it, what do you think? I know you have written a ton of half time shows and have probably thought of every "angle" there is.... what do you think of my "angle?"

PS) thankfully the guard this year is only 9 members strong, the first year we did this I had 25 animal masks to make. It will be alot easier this year :)

Thank you Keith. Getting an honorable mention makes me happy.

I'd like to thank the Academy...

I thought 101's was a scream, but I'll take the therapy like a man. It's not that bad once you get used to it. Well, everything except the green tea colonic. Helga, the attendant has taken to wearing latex lately and keeps referring to me as "you naughty monkey." It's a bit disconcerting, but all for the best I suppose. I'll try to pick up a couple of commemorative ball-gags in the gift shop. I think they'd make apropo stocking-stuffers for a few posters around here.
